It is very unfortunate that people like Nancy Grace gave incorrect information about the circumstances of the disappearance. When she was told the "area near Baby Beach", she said Baby Beach and then went on and on about how no one could drown in that area. Facts make a big difference and talking heads that won't pay attention to facts are irresponsible.

In fact, a couple drowned in Baby Beach in 2006 ... presumably they were caught in the rough currents near the mouth of the lagoon.

A point I was suspicious of as well.... that area is ok for snorkeling as long as you stay in the pool-ed off area (the small circle of calm water). It is a fine area for snorkeling, however, it can become dangerous if you venture out. With many more suitable and well known areas near their hotel, it's very suspicious they would travel to the other side of the island to snorkel. Unless he has been there before, and knew the current would carry a body out. Although, in that specific area, it is possible for a body to eventually wash up.

The lips for sure. Of course, that doesn't matter in the crime, but as far as being a model? That would be a major strike against her that her lips are like something out of "Real Housewives" as a model.

The only comment I have about her looks is seeing the photo of her with brown hair on NG ,she was very striking before...much more natural looking...JMO

From reading some Travel Aruba and Snorkel Aruba sites, it's my understanding that the area is not great for snorkeling because of a storm a few years ago. The currents and riptides outside of the lagoon are known to be very dangerous. I'm not sure what to think about whether a body would wash to shore. The snorkel location that was given is at the most Southern tip of the Island and I would guess - depending on currents at 6 in the evening on that day - that most likely a body would be washed fairly quickly into the open ocean. The call for help was made at 6:23 after GVG borrowed a phone from a stranger on the beach. One would expect that rescue efforts began immediately ... but the ocean is a big place so it's hard to say whether that made any difference.

I still think there's a good possibility that she is on the opposite side of the Island. GVG had 3 hours between 3 and shortly after 6 and his lawyer said that he's a calculating person that never does anything without a plan. It's possible that he took her for lunch at the dive shop (club on Nanki Beach area) so that she would be seen in the area. He may then have gone somewhere else with her, and then returned to the Nanki Beach area to pretend that she drowned in the dangerous currents.

I read all of her posts. Something just seems off if you know what I mean.

Also both her and her daughter have dark hair and the daughter looks really young. She (daughter) is a dancer at Paper Moon Downtown which is a gentlemens club (logo on FB says Fun Fantasy and Excitement).

Read her posts, went to her page and Richard F (boyfriend of Robyn) is her friend. Strange ??

Just think the whole case is strange, she seems to have really played men, and who is to say what happened, until someone gives a confession or she is found. But it could be anyone, her ex husband, RF or GG, maybe the ex husband saw her on match.com and decided to hire a low life to take her out, GG could be that low life, he has a past record. Who knows, just think the boyfriend is creepy also.. I don't discount anyone in this case, there are three of them to look closely at.

The ex has motive ($$$) via the alimony order, but at under a year left at 2K per month, would it be worth paying for??? I don't think 24K buys a hit in any market (I doubt he would travel to Aruba). Unless his motive was just anger/revenge based. Hmmm.

RF raises red flags for me too. But what would be his motive? And why would he work with GG? If he wanted RG "disappeared" for some reason, wouldn't he have gone with a stranger?

I have more questions about RF though. Can he be "sleuthed" per WS rules? He's not a POI...but he's not a victim nor a family member. I want to know what he does for a living and his general background (marriages, criminal record etc etc.....)

BBM.

NO. Absolutely not. He has not been named a POI or suspect, so he cannot be sleuthed. Also, any speculation of his involvement needs to stop at this time.

He has stated that he is a "headhunter" out of Washington, DC, I believe. That's all I know about him.

Jeanette Farago, a former neighbor, started dating Giordano around the time of his second divorce. She said Giordano was charismatic but could become angry and possessive, though she said she never felt physically threatened. Once, he wanted to take her on a cruise but became irate when she didn't want to go, she said.
Farago said Giordano insisted on having her email password so he could ensure she was not seeing anyone else. If she said she was going to the grocery store, he would want photographic proof. Sometimes, she said, he would spy on her and text her details of her outfit so she knew he was watching. He even hid in the woods behind her home to watch her, dressing in a deer costume, she said.
"He's Mr. Perfect," she said, and then he's "totally different."

Though his house suggests a man who values his privacy, Giordano is also gregarious and fun, said Eric Curtis, a friend who said he regularly hangs out with him in restaurants and bars. He said he's never even seen Giordano raise his voice.
"He'd talk to anybody, male or female, and within minutes, he'd have anybody laughing," Curtis said.
Giordano and his second wife divorced in 2008 after just two years. Court records don't suggest an especially acrid relationship.
In the three years since, other women he dated — many of them thin and blond like Gardner — found that their romantic relationships with him turned ugly. One woman accused him of threatening her by saying "the world would be better off without me" and of videotaping their sexual encounters without her consent.

If Giordano murdered Robyn then why would he report her missing?

It seems many were unaware where she was and with whom except for Christina, but either way, Giordano could have left the island without reporting her missing. He could say she ran into a friend and did not see her again.

Why would he report her missing and draw attention to himself?

I bet he is wishing he used that excuse right now. Good post. :seeya:

ETA: At the time he may have been paranoid that her body would wash ashore, being placed at the scene, etc.

I agree. I think we actually heard "Baby Beach" for the first time on CNN, maybe from Anderson Cooper? I know my husband came to me and asked if I had heard of this case b/c he remembered snorkeling there. I could definitely see the currents being much rougher near the mouth of the lagoon and in the open ocean beyond. But initially we were just thinking how in the world could someone get swept out in a rip current there??

FBI at GG house.

(wish I could be playing with the big kids on this one)

My intuition at this time tells me GG had nothing to do with her disappearance.

I've wondered the same thing........

Did not find him on there. I checked other sites as well. I welcome anyone else to look, but I had no luck.

Me neither. I joined last night just to be able to search ()... DH asked me WTH was I doing on match.com. I said, "Looking for a new husband.". He then said, "Oh, you're sleuthing."

How about her? Is her profile still on there?

Her facebook profile is under her maiden name and not Gardner.

I understand the logic here, but OTOH, if he returns home without her, she would eventually be reported missing by someone. There is evidence they were there together, at least in the form of a one-way used airline ticket (not including videos of them probably entering/leaving their hotel, etc.).

So let's say he was able to return home without reporting her missing. LE eventually would track him down and ask when was the last time he saw her while they were there. The only plausible reason that would take suspicion off of himself would be to say she found someone else or she came home early. Again, no used airline ticket or passport records. (Just trying to think of a possible scenario).

It was definitely in his best interest to report her missing.

The problem is I can't find anyone using their real name. They seem to be using screen names, so if you do a search you end up having to go through something like 2000 profiles, looking at the pictures.
