It is very unfortunate that people like Nancy Grace gave incorrect information about the circumstances of the disappearance. When she was told the "area near Baby Beach", she said Baby Beach and then went on and on about how no one could drown in that area. Facts make a big difference and talking heads that won't pay attention to facts are irresponsible.
In fact, a couple drowned in Baby Beach in 2006 ... presumably they were caught in the rough currents near the mouth of the lagoon.
A point I was suspicious of as well.... that area is ok for snorkeling as long as you stay in the pool-ed off area (the small circle of calm water). It is a fine area for snorkeling, however, it can become dangerous if you venture out. With many more suitable and well known areas near their hotel, it's very suspicious they would travel to the other side of the island to snorkel. Unless he has been there before, and knew the current would carry a body out. Although, in that specific area, it is possible for a body to eventually wash up.
