I think he did not have time to effectively discard the body any other way than off a cliff.

IMO, GG needed seclusion both for the rape and for the discarding of the body into the ocean. Where on the island is he able to do that?

It appears that you have circled the Marriott Hotel

On Palm Beach?

This was drawn before it was clear which Mariot they stayed at. I may have circled the wrong one, the point of showing the map is to discuss secluded areas on the coast where he could commit rape, murder and cast off the body, that won't float back to shore.

I see
I thought you were showing where they were staying

The rough side of the island is secluded but tourists pass by all of the time, in either caravans or private transportation

There would be many places to cast off a body, imo, but at that time of day, its risky
Not impossible , but risky

Let's say his attorney is correct and that this is his first trip to Aruba. Let's also take into account no body has washed ashore and that would make certain parts of the coast unlikely. From Baby Beach, driving, where would he come upon that had seclusion and a cliff?

The problem for me is , she was last seen around four and he reported her missing around six twenty

Unless he hid the body after whatever happened, happened, he was taking a chance being seen almost anywhere he went at that time of day

I don't know where he would find that kind of seclusion, without any worries of someone coming upon them

Its still light at that time of evening, sun sets around sevenish

I agree ... she sent a message to her boyfriend at 3 from the hotel, they were seen at 4 in the dive shop right next to the beach where he claims she drowned, they were seen on the beach but not seen going into the water and at 6:23 there was the 911 call. There wasn't much time to murder her and make her disappear too far from the beach.

last seen at four
reported missing at six twenty three
two hours and twenty three minutes unaccounted for

I don't know how long it would take to go to the other side of the island because i have no idea what route would be used.

There is a lot of traffic in Aruba
Going through downtown at that time of day would take time each way

IMO, and consistent throughout this investigation:

GVG was offering modeling and other media ventures to women. I do think that those opportunities turned out to be *advertiser censored* that he would sell. After all, without his girlfriends' knowledge, he is alleged to have taken pornographic photos/video of them and distribute those items.

I think that Robyn fell victim to his conman connivings and she paid with her life. Did she resist his sexual advances and filming? Or was this something much darker?

bolded by me.

My thoughts at this time are that they had dates and sex once in awhile in the United States.

Now, she loses her job and her relationship with RF is not doing well, so she caves in and accepts the offer to go to Aruba--thinking that maybe GVG is not so bad, and she might make some money from modeling for photos, possibly leading to future employment.

They take a room together in Aruba but she discovers she really can't stand being with him--maybe the light bulb goes on and she realizes he really might hurt her. She sends the "this sucks" message to RF, and rejects any further sexual advances from GVG. Difficult...since they are staying in the same room, and I think he would be angrier about this (suddenly being shut off) than if they'd never had sex at all and she rejected him before they got entangled in a "relationship". He goes into an uncontrollable rage and kills her. I don't know where or how.

Here's a map showing the location of the hotel ... the red dot marks the spot

There definitely was not enough time to dig a grave. Taking into account no body has washed ashore, this would narrow things to a coastal area that would take the body straight out to sea.

The Natalee Holloway case brought to attention the area of Boca Mahos (the area I circled.) One local expert speculated that her body was cast off a high cliff there, somewhere along the North coast road that runs out to the natural bridge tourist site. He thought they probably dumped her at one of the high cliffs or on a point, in the area of Boca Mahos. He said the ocean is deep on that side of the island, the currents run East to West, the wind and surf is heavy. He also added the reason to dump her there is the road is secluded. He concluded the body probably went straight out to sea and no remnants would ever be found.

I think this is the area he is talking about. A = Boca Mahos. This was circled on the map I posted upthread.

The thing is, GG really liked to take pornographic images of his girlfriends without their knowledge and post them online.

Let's suppose that RG was OK with the sexual part, to an extent, but then becomes aware that he is filming them, and she is not OK with that, for various reasons.

I can imagine things going way downhill from there.

I don't think we've heard yet about any photographic equipment/camcorders, etc. he either had with him or rented. It will be interesting if they find evidence.

He may have chucked all of that off of a cliff as well.

The Marriott Hotel in Aruba is not in the same location as the Reniassance. The Marriott is along the major hotel strip away from downtown Oranjestad while the Renaissance complex (on both sides of a major thoroughfare) is basically in the downtown shopping district. I thought that GG and RG were staying at the Renaissance which is a Marriott property but not the same hotel as the Aruba Marriott Resort.

I had a look at the maps and google earth, and I think it might take more than 2 hours to get from the Nanki Beach area to the Boca Manos area and back. Although the Island is small, it is 19 miles long and 6 miles wide. It is about 13 miles from the beach to the opposite side of the Island. I read somewhere that it is about an hour drive from the capital to the southern tip - which is about 14 miles.

That's right ... staying at the Renaissance. I posted a map of that location upthread.

So what time is court?

A hearing continues at this hour to determine whether Gary Giordano of Gaithersburg will remain in Aruba for eight more days in connection with the disappearance of a Frederick woman, according to Aruban Solicitor General Taco Stein.
The judge has until 8:30 p.m. to make a decision, Stein said.

I'm still wondering if he portrayed himself as gay and she truly believed it, rather than she used that as an excuse for the trip to the boyfriend. The FBI agent discusses this briefly in the thread I posted above.

In that case, she could have shared a hotel room with him because, hey, he's gay.
He's a photographer/media guy who is gay. Do you really think she was that bamboozled?

No I don't

Isn't it amazing that these lawyers almost never come out and say...'my client is innocent!' It is always 'they have no solid proof' or 'they have no hard evidence'. If I was unjustly detained, I would want the word 'innocent' to be shouted from the rooftops.
