I wouldn't be surprised to find out that this woman is /was On the job if you know what I mean...

I agree. It's hard to imagine someone of her age just being overcome with lust for this creep, in a parking garage. Money and/or drugs most likely were involved.

Can you imagine, a man his age with a mattress in the back of his SUV? Good grief, what a total creep.

Yep. What could he do to make himself more of a then he already is? Write a book and try and make money off of Robyn's dissapearance?? :banghead:

Aruba officials claim to not have been able to hold and indict GG for Robyn's disappearance because all they have to go on is circumstantial evidence. So is it that they just do not care if justice is served, or do they just need a refresher course on the significance of circumstantial evidence? And, if I'm giving off vibes that I'm mad as he** that there has been no progress in this case and that GG is walking around a free man, I am. Completely and totally :furious:

From: http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Circumstantial+Evidence
(my bolding):

Circumstantial evidence is most often employed in criminal trials. Many circumstances can create inferences about an accused's guilt in a criminal matter, including the accused's resistance to arrest; the presence of a motive or opportunity to commit the crime; the accused's presence at the time and place of the crime; any denials, evasions, or contradictions on the part of the accused; and the general conduct of the accused. In addition, much Scientific Evidence is circumstantial, because it requires a jury to make a connection between the circumstance and the fact in issue. For example, with fingerprint evidence, a jury must make a connection between this evidence that the accused handled some object tied to the crime and the commission of the crime itself.

Books, movies, and television often perpetuate the belief that circumstantial evidence may not be used to convict a criminal of a crime. But this view is incorrect. In many cases, circumstantial evidence is the only evidence linking an accused to a crime; direct evidence may simply not exist. As a result, the jury may have only circumstantial evidence to consider in determining whether to convict or acquit a person charged with a crime. In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court has stated that "circumstantial evidence is intrinsically no different from testimonial [direct] evidence"(Holland v. United States, 348 U.S. 121, 75 S. Ct. 127, 99 L. Ed. 150 [1954]). Thus, the distinction between direct and circumstantial evidence has little practical effect in the presentation or admissibility of evidence in trials.

Yeah, Blueskies, I'm getting more angry by the day about how Aruba seems to be turning their back on Robyn's case, and now this?! :furious: :banghead:

I just have to get up now and walk away before I start :cursing: and throwing things.... thinking I might blow up a photo of GG and start using it for target practice, hehehe. :)

What is wrong with these woman? He has a history of domestic abuse, has had restraining orders against him and yet he finds woman to do the nasty with him. How disgusting, I can't get the thought out of my head now. Did she just crawl out from under a rock to not know he had a young woman go missing on his watch? Unreal!!!!

Just ask my son, these stupid, ignorant women are everywhere. They have no IQ, no common sense, no sense of right or wrong. Our culture is going to hell in a hand basket, imo.

There is a Dateline on tonight, starring none other than GG. Is this an old one, does anyone know?

Yup, you are right. Add horny to your list! Stupid, ignorant and horny! Very bad combination, but I know women who are just that!

I thought GG's recent arrest would get things churned up again. But if she is never found, he will probably get away with it.

Yeah, and Aruba LE could care less, especially since Taco Stein left the office. The new prosecutor has a pretty apathetic attitude toward the case, again, imo. They won't even come forward with a press conference to update the public on the case. He claims the case is still open, but no new information to offer. How could that be when they had all the electronics to analyze. That has to be complete by now. They could at least offer Robyn's case enough respect and consideration to come forth with an update to the public, those of us who care.

This is not being said against the good Arubans, or even the tourists who travel there. This is simply about the Aruban officials and justice system, and it's jmo that they have no interest in investing any more resources on this case, and all they care about is for Robyn's case to go away, to leave them alone on their Happy Island. :maddening: :banghead:: :twocents:

Personally I feel that with no further information, people got tired of going over the same things day after day

Then comes along endless speculation which is not based on anything and I personally prefer to deal with the few facts we have

To each his own

I feel that happens everywhere in this world when all leads dry up JMo
Look at all of the cold cases on this forum

GG supporters?

I didn't know there were any here.

There are a few free thinkers who challenged posters thoughts

I'm not sure how you come to this conclusion, but don't want to argue or name names. Just will say that there have been several that saw GG as an innocent victim, though most haven't been on the thread in a while. It got to the point that for a while there was quite a bit of defending GG, rather than focusing on the circumstantial evidence against him, which there is plenty, imo.

I know many questioned his guilt in this case just based on facts that were at hand
I have never really seen anyone defend him

But IMO, everyone is entitled to an opinion so....
