SD,

Do you have any knowledge of what the post-JonBenet's death relationship was like between JR and DP? Between PR and DP?

I had a wacky theory hit me just now about why JR wanted to fly to Atlanta on Dec. 26th. I literally think he may have intended on settling a score there. If only they had let him go, this case might have been solved that very day. (Of course, I understand why they wouldn't let him go.)

Thanks.

freshwater, I don't think your theory is wacky if you think what I'm thinking. Maybe PR found out that what had happened to her (when she was a child) was now happening to her daughter? Maybe JR was informed why the molestation staging had to happen that night? Lots of folks deny that anything could have happened to send PR into a white-hot rage but I believe that is something that would have sent ANY loving mother over the edge. Boulder PD did question JR as to DP's living arrangements and flight schedule out of Boulder that Christmas but I'm thinking they didn't dig deep enough to uncover what may have happened. Also, JR couldn't point the finger that way without giving up his and PR's role in the death of their daughter.

Sorry, I should have included the link for JR's LE interview concerning DP:

22 LOU SMIT: How did Don Paugh get to
23 the airport when he went to Atlanta, did anybody
24 bring him?
25 JOHN RAMSEY: He would either take
0729
1 a limo, probably took a limo. I don't know,
2 that's typically I think how he would get to the
3 airport. I don't think he drove his car very
4 often.
5 LOU SMIT: Did he ever live with
6 anybody in his apartment or was it just him
7 alone?
8 JOHN RAMSEY: No, that was kind of
9 our corporate apartment. I lived there for a
10 while.

More at link....

Dave, I have a question. Do you know if LE ever interviewed DP and if so, where I could read the transcripts? TIA, Becky

One thing I always felt was odd with Patsy and her family is that there was SO LITTLE public comment (or even support) from Patsy's parents and one of her sisters. Not much from JR's family, either- I assume he had some family. He had a brother, I know. Not much from any family members apart from Aunt P.

What was Burkes demeanor at Patsys funeral? I missed that somewhere. Thanks.

I too would like to know if Don Paugh was ever interviewed. I know he told John about the luncheon Access Graphics Tom Carson had with ex-employees at Pasta Jays....(whom I believe are the foreign faction).

Don Paugh flew "standby" Christmas Eve. Wonder why he didn't have a reservation, being its Christmas and all. Did something happen the night before, at the Ramsey Christmas party? Did John/Patsy give him the boot?

That has always puzzled me, too. With all JR's access to private planes, why would your father-in-law fly standby? Also- the next day was CHRISTMAS! Your wife (Nedra) was home in Atlanta. Wouldn't you know for SURE whether you'd want to be home with your wife Christmas Day? Standby isn't a sure thing. These were well-off people who could well afford a standard purchased ticket. Seems like he needed to "get outta Dodge" fast.

No knowledge, I'm afraid. DP has never been very vocal about this case. George Anthony, he ain't.

I can't find any mention of him being interviewed.

Thanks Dave. So, either he was not interviewed or his interview has never been made public (which is hard to believe). What a huge mistake on the part of LE. Actually, I don't have the words to describe this mistake! I have never bought into the idea that ST was so wrapped up in the bed-wetting theory to the exclusion of all else, but this makes me wonder.

Notice how fast John is with his reply, I lived there. Not when Patsy was in town, I'll bet.

I wonder if John thought what I thought. Remember Don Paugh supervised JonBenet at the parade, how far away was this apartment?

.

I hear ya, beck. It doesn't make sense that they'd talk to Nedra but not him.

SuperDave, I want to talk about the interrogation of John Ramsey by Lou Smit.

Smit asks John about the second baseball bat found on the north side of the house. John said it was unusual for a bat to be in that area of the house because Burke played in the backyard. Smit confirmed the bat belonged to Burke.

John is shown the North side of the house where the bat lay. John is asked whereabouts that bat would be. John said the bat lay under the first floor bathroom.

Smit asks John to take a look at the window area. It is disturbed, with the window sill's dirt being disturbed. John is asked what he sees in the picture. One of the items seen is duct tape.

John is asked about the window area in the basement bathroom. The inside of the sill also looks disturbed. Smit asks John if someone could have come through the window. John is not sure.

My question Dave is this: If Melody Stanton did hear a scream...and soon after her husband heard metal scraping....could JonBenet have been hit over the head with the baseball bat, and the killer opening the basement bathroom window and tossed the bat out?

I got the interrogation of John Ramsey on A Candy Rose site...I'll copy and paste if you'd like.
