Eight affidavits remain sealed two more weeks in Annie Le slaying case

Supervisory Assistant State’s Attorney John Waddock, the co-prosecutor in the case, declined to comment Tuesday.
But Public Defender Joseph E. Lopez, who is defending Clark, said of the ruling, “Yes, this pleases me.”
Lopez noted, “We’ve been trying to keep these warrants sealed from the beginning.” He said he has not joined prosecutors in their ongoing sealing motions because the state statute is specifically intended for authorities who argue that releasing affidavits during an ongoing investigation could adversely affect their case.
Asked if the two-week sealing orders might continue, Lopez said he wasn’t sure.
