A good bet might be poker tournaments. A quick check and I see the Taj Mahal held a Texas Hold'em tournament on Oct 7th, 2006.

Immediately made me think of Joran Van Der Sloot.

Timeline fits - it's in between the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005 and the murder of Stephany Flores in Lima, Peru in 2010 during a Latin American Poker Tour event.

He was also linked to the disappearance of two women in Bogota, Colombia who were known to frequent casinos, although police later ruled him out.

Pure speculation and a massive long shot, but I wonder if he ever visited Atlantic City on his travels.

March 17, 2012 (when Ms. Alvarado disappeared) was a Saturday. She allegedly went for a walk around 2:00 am. That would be an early Sunday morning - ironically Ms. Raffo vanished in the early morning hours of a Sunday morning as well.

Having lived in the area where the bodies were found (in the late '90's) , and being very familiar with that area of the BHP for most of my life, this case has never left my mind. It really kick started my interest in true crime.
It's been 11 years, and they are no closer to catching the person responsible then they were on day one. It is very upsetting that it seems that local police aren't even interested in solving this....

They have zero interest in solving this. Thats because they dont have what it takes.
They should quit LE and become security guards.

I have heard others say they are connected to the GB4 girls but i do not agree the gb 4 girls were placed side by side and only these 4 girls were put in burlap bags yes they were all prostitues they is the only commonality gb4 girls were placed by the beach ac girls were put in a drainage ditch I think the gb4 girls were known very well by the person who killed those 4 i think had spec. meaning to him he only called those 4 family members to taunght them

Can anyone confirm this for me? The show would have been Aug 23, 2006 if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the response Kat! I suppose I just need to revisit the timeline for Molly Dilts last known trips to AC when she stayed at the Borgata and that fateful last phone call where she mentioned joining the military and/or Air Force.

There is a military base there the 177th Fighter Wing and drill weekends we stay at a hotel 15 minutes away from there I always wondered if one of the service members were responsible. Sorry if I am not responding correctly.

Tatiana, EXACTLY.

Not necessarily the 177th but yes, some guard/reserve unit. He probably traveled there for the first time as part of a TDY/TAD or other special event and found AC enticing enough to return to. It was a short enough drive to achieve a certain amount of anonymity and satisfied his vices at the time. He could accomplish what he wanted in a weekend (or four).

Also as an aside, I think people who say this person has a foot fetish are not giving enough credit to how efficient this killer is. Shoelaces are disposable ligatures perfect for strangulation.

Truthfully, I joined websleuths for a few particular threads. I wasn't aware of Joyce's story, but from the small bit I've read I do think she could be related to the original four. Especially when you consider the demolition of certain places along the E Black Horse Pike--the killer had to find another dump site quickly when he realized his previously chosen spot was gone...

I feel he's actually not from the area, hence the reason for the previous post about military on temporary duty... And probably wasn't even aware of the media coverage or even that the original 4 were ever found. I think he's cheap and using the BHP was purely because he didn't want to pay tolls on the expressway. Such costs are superfluous and avoidable. Necessary costs for him were things like gas and drugs and enough of an offer to the women to get their attention.

Sounds similar to Mount Vernon Jane Doe. Found naked and dead on Valentines Day.

Something caught my eye. Probably just a coincidence though. Click onto the wikipedia link above. Scroll down to 2006. The Blue Angels are referred to as TBA.
Go to Long Island serial killer unidentified. Peaches. Look at her tatoo. Some believe there are initials on the leaf. Looks like TBA.
Or it could be nothing.
