There is a truck load of driving going on with people who wouldn't really normally afford to drive through 3 states and 2 territories.

The type of driving is something you would normally associate with a truck driver. Even then....

Hi 1968. Can you please give a link for the part I bolded? I asked a few pages ago but you must have missed it.

Hi Fruity,

Re sighting of Khandalyce , sorry for any confusion.
This is an sssumption on of my part.
I presume the police have some kind of proof she outlived her mother.
I am assuming a sighting.

There is the other woman
There is the ring on Karlies engagement ring
There is the two pulled over in NSW with Karlies card. Where was that?

For people lacking cash, why would you shoot down to Mt Gambier on a trip to Belango and buy a suitcase half way through the trip.
There was 2 transactions at Mt Gambier Strandbags.
Karlie was last seen in Charnwood.

I think Karlie made all these transactions herself, the ones after her death, clearly someone else's. IMO

I totally agree with you here. I certainly couldn't afford it.

3 months between accident and Karlies murder. So Karlie must have arrived just in time? What, Karlie spent 1 month, then the next month dead in Belanglo?

When did Karlie come onto the scene? How long after the accident?

Karlie Pearce-Stevenson suspect went to ground after fatal crash

D H went to ground in the year following the fatal car accident shunning family and friends

A hand written note scribbled on his file over a year after the accident says his partner in Alice Springs said he had “gone to ground and is not contacting anyone”.

HP told police in 2009 she did not blame him for the accid*ent, despite telling them she “had to be angry at someone”.

Who that “someone” was remains unanswered.

The accident scene

It's difficult to come up with a scenario that has neither of these two involved in Khandalyce's death.... . there are not many alternatives... a little child, sold on for snuff movies to strangers?? .. this requires him and/her keeping silent about those mystery people and taking the rap... child dies accidentally and the body has to remain secretly hidden for purposes of detection in mothers murder?.. possible.. even probable... but not according to police statements. . Someone stole Khandalyce? .. hardly likely. Khandalyce got herself lost?? No.

And that's as many reasons as I can come up with as to why DH and HP are entirely removed from the death of Khandalyce.. In my opinion.. unless those reasons can be turned into workable scenario's, and rational possibilities, it comes down to DH and whomsoever. That police haven't charged him with Khandalyce's murder is so significant and inexorably points to someone else, as well , but someone inextricably attached to DH at that time and up till now.

Who had a motive.. who benefited, who was advantaged .... who gained what from which death...

Mr Holdom posted on Facebook that he was “in a relationship”. The post, in March 2009, was “liked” by just one person: Hazel Passmore.

Not very far underground

this link seems to be little out to me , its says that It is understood Ms Pearce-Stevenson’s mother died in 2010 in Alice Springs, still believing her daughter and granddaughter were safe and living interstate

Ok WOW. This article just put a completely new spin on events for me.

So K&K saw HP & DH at the Darwin car show in August. Knew each other from Alice Springs (my assumption unsure if fact?)
The car accident happened in SA in Sept when HP/DH were on their travels (en route to Adelaide perhaps just as part of their holiday?)
K&K didnt arrive in SA until Nov, (sighted past Coober Pedy).
So is it likely that HP needed specialised care at SA rehab centre, no family to help as all back in Nothern Territory. Karlie offered to come and help out for a while with HP/DH & 2yo? Maybe the litttle ones got along really well & Karlie was in a position to stay with them and help out.
In the space of maybe just over a month of arriving in SA she was killed.
Things would have been so tough for HP. I could only imagine the emotional & physical trauma she was experiencing. What if K&K were staying with them to help out & HP got jealous/suspicious that DH had an eye for Karlie (or vice versa) & just lost it and kicked them both out.
DH prob had no car/licence after the accident? Maybe he asked KP to give him a ride to ACT (his family from there?) and he would pay petrol money. Maybe when there she resisited his advances and his rage (at evrything) finally spilled over. Then had to get Khandles out of picture also. Big problem after that is he needs his mess fixed so he doesnt get caught for murder. Maybe calls HP and begs her to have him back telling her that he would do anything for her, they are all he has left and Karlie is no longer a problem, gets HP on board. HP takes him back. The fraud is part of the murder cover up and the money is a fortunate kick-back.

All just speculation on my behalf, I could be way off. But the article was answered a few things for me.

Oh, also re the suitcase clothes...without getting too morbid, what if HP kept the clothes of her eldest children from the trip? The belongings from the crash were probably all been handed back to her at later date by SA police. Edited to add: Is it possible Khandalyce was initially placed in her suitcase with her clothes, then all contents moved at a later date into the suitcase containing clothing/belongings from the accident? Maybe done in a rush when leaving the house in a hurry in 2011... Ditched it roadside in a panic scenario like Bliss oulined in a previous post (saw lights up ahead thinking police stop). Just more musings. Have no more time/brain power to think/research anymore so not too sure on timelines of transactions etc.

Khandalyce would have turned 6 in 2012 as she was born in 2006 and deceased in 2008, aged 2.

DUH! I messed that one up. I meant turned 4 in 2010. When the person attended the Centrelink interview at Salisbury.

Another thought. A couple of years ago, Centrelink went online
and contact with people is now mostly via the MyGov website,
but there are certain times when you need to attend 'compulsory interviews'.

Back in 2008 you were sent a letter requesting you attend a Centrelink interview when your child turns 4. If you did not attend, your payment would be stopped.
I know this because my youngest is born in 2006 (part of the reason I feel so affected by this tragedy)
I recall I had to attend an interview with Centrelink in 2010, taking with me her Immunisation details. I forgot to attend, and my payment stopped until I did attend.

Note back then, the immunisation rota was different also. Children were immunised at 4 months, 18 months and then 4 years. I think it is different today.

As Karlie was living IMO a transient lifestyle, travelling a lot, Darwin, Adelaide, Murray region, Canberra, etc where would her mail have been sent to, up until the time she died?
i.e her bank statements and the like? I can only think her previous home address in Alice Springs?

The police will be privy to this info, I am sure, but they have never said anything other than her last known address was Alice Springs. You would think if her last known address was in Adelaide they would have said?

I've seen kangaroos on the road at any time from dusk to dawn - in fact I took a ride in an ambulance once with a patient in the middle of the night (about 1am to 3am round trip) and was amazed at the sheer number of kangaroos, wallabies and the occasional other critter (wombats, lots of small to medium furry things that I couldn't identify at that speed in the dark) that were all along the sides of the road. This was travelling from one country town to another in eastern VIC and back. They were literally EVERYWHERE. You could have stopped to take a photo anywhere and there would have been some kind of animal.

Maybe we humans tend to see them more at dusk and dawn because we travel more at those times than we do in the middle of the night. I suppose they like to come out when it's cool, and spend the daytime resting somewhere from the heat. I don't know if it's different in the outback than it is in some place like VIC where there is a lot of forest/ tree cover.

Thats why we ambos have defensive driving training for both metro and country areas. Keeping you PTs safe (and ourselves)

i have a nearly 3 year old and the immunisations are what you stated. I can remember in a police statement that they said that Khandalyces immunisations had not been done past 18mths , so its in my opinion , that the police looked throughly into this , as a flag came up on the centrelink , and i believe that this was a break through in their investigation.

Why would Karlie go to Mt Gambier before making her way around to Belanglo?

I think Makaras right. Someone has lost their temper in Canberra, or something has happened that has meant Karlie had to go because she had something on someone. Paranoia etc.

This may be a dumb question, but why is Australia referred to as Oz?

Dunno , It may have something to do with the first three letters ,AUS . shortened to OZ .We have a tendency to shorten words here, its our slang :) hahaha but really, i dunno :)
