It also looks like there is a bird with the camel. The lower right side. I work in an elementary library so if anybody can think of a book for me to look through, just let me know. I am trying to look through the ones we have.

Here is a better zoomed in picture.

It looks like a sideways teapot from beauty and the beast to me, mrs potts i think she was called.

To my eyes, it does seem to be the camel.

I really admire you guys' ability to pick detail and information out of those photos. I see one spot where it looks like tiger strips, but it's where the diagram says a camel has been identified :p

Wow. Those area amazing. And yeah, there is some of that feel to what little I can see.

I found them right back on the first thread...you've got a good memory Fruity.....I still can't find a better match. Maybe the reporter skim read...

I knew there had definitely been a match!

The Dymples brand dress/nightie was from BigW. I don't know if the stores still carry that brand?

Thanks Tricia. I'm so proud of our Aussie sleuthers. What a wonderful team we have here. In all of the years I've been a member of Websleuths I don't think I've ever witnessed so much brilliant sleuthing as we've seen here. So much selflessness to help give our little Wynarka Angel an identity and to assist the police investigation in any way possible to finally bring justice to the person who took this little girl's life.

*ahem* clears throat ...

hey some of us aren't Aussie?! :tomato:

I saw in the article that it said there had been no match so far, but the ebay slippers were posted in the last thread, right?

it is very close but I think they have a slightly different shape to them ...

Hi guys, I'm late coming to this case. If this information is old please forgive me, but have you visited these links yet. I recognize a lot of the material in the pictures on the links below, as I'm a quilter. (I have not had a chance to look at the fabric that has been identified in this precious child's quilt. Matter of fact I have a piece of it(from the links) in my stash. Here's the link to the quilt, this ladys blog is in Australia, "The Crafty Mummy" and apparently she published her tutorial for it in October of 2012 judging from the comments below the tutorial. The date of the tutorial is significant I think because that would have been the first time the quilt appeared to be copied. Could someone who had commented be connected with the child? These pages have a lot of info worth reading if it has not been posted before.

http://thecraftymummy.com/2014/09/review-magic-quilt-book/
The author of the book had sent Crafty Mummy the book and info that she, the author, had compiled several quilt kits to sell. This was recent apparently.

the tutorial for the quilt here
http://thecraftymummy.com/2012/10/i-spy-quilt-tutorial/

and the information about the book the quilt is based on here
http://themagicquilt.com.au/about-the-magic-quilt/
It's about a boy's handmade quilt that is really magical and can take him away when he is upset to special places.

The quilt was probably purchased with the book as a "kit" if this is it or it could have been randomly chosen fabric.

If I'm way off base or you have already seen these links I apologize. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.

not sure what you're exactly looking for?

here's an international one:

http://www.icmec.org/missingkids/servlet/PublicHomeServlet

here's the two most common ones for the States:

http://www.namus.gov/

http://www.missingkids.com/home

and here's an Australian one:

http://www.missingpersons.gov.au/

and I'll add some Canadian ones:

http://mcsc.ca/

https://missingkids.ca/app/en/missing_children_database

I was trying to research missing children online to see if I could find any worldwide that could be our doe but this is crazy there's tons of sites,FBI, missing and exploited children, country specific sites , the searches in them are not working properly for me ... help someone, some useful links ? tya
I'm shocked I really thought there was some kind of good database for such searches. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right place.

Whoa. The quilt in that tutorial has both the music notes and the stars. But it's square blocks, not the octagonal.

I'm thinking they are all square blocks with appliques on some of them. Like the pumpkins they have been cut out and appliqued on which means hand sewing them on to a square or block. Well they could have been machine stitched now that I think about it. That would account for the wide music fabric strip on the child's quilt. I think that's two square blocks that either the applique fell off or did not have applique on it. Google "applique on a quilt block" to see pictures.

Edited to add, see all the bare spots shaped like the pumpkins applique. I'm pretty sure there were appliques that have fallen off in those places. Could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

I'm wondering if the piece to the right above the pumpkins is an ABC piece of fabric, fabric with alphabet letters scattered on it. I cannot see any of these as well as someone cleared up the camel pic.
