you know it wouldn't surprise me if you were onto something really significant here this is an interesting point that seems to have escaped my attention early on. If I were a police officer called to a 'routine' missing person report..I would be VERY VERY concerned if there was a sparkling clean car in the front drive....perhaps with puddles around the tires etc? or water droplets around side mirrors(for example) Alarm bells would ring LOUD!! and on top of that..if I were a piddly little arsewipe who had just murdered my wife in cold blood..I might think I was immensely clever and switched on by cleaning the car, but in reality I'd be too stupid to consider the water on the concrete...

Hmmm....Well, I dont know about you folks, but I am going to revisit some of the earlier photos of the cars at GBC house

Wasn't there intermittent rain on the night?

Greg - I think that will be great and it will be great to hear an expert opinion, I will be interested in particular to hear what they say about Olivia (esp after the Mark Lundy assessment of body language.) And for GBC even if he was separated from Allison I can't fathom how someone would not be concerned about finding the mother of his kids. Honestly as someone said here - I would do more looking for my lost dog than he has done looking for his supposedly 'precious, loving, and notably missing wife'.

we did run it through the eyes for lies website early on in the first thread. it was inconclusive because it was such a small sample...but if I remember correctly, the body language specialist found him to be very off. I think she may have said something about alarm bells? NOT QUOTING..its on the first or second thread, but I just have vague recollection of what the outcome was

Hi guys

There are many puzzling things in this case, but I am surprised by the fact no arrest has been made so far if everything is pointing towards GBC. Which is probably most likely, but I am keeping an open mind. One of the things that puzzles me is that more people associated with the case haven't been taken in for intensive questioning - or at least the press hasn't reported it.

In fact, from what we have seen it appears the QPS have stopped questioning people who we might expect have a bigger story to tell, and are still seeking new evidence. This suggests to me that GBC has given the police a very plausible story about what happened that night, which may or may not be true. The conclusion I think is that he has told them the truth and is not guilty or he has told them a smarter story than what we have heard reported.

I know he is lawyered up, but if his story wasn't plausible and was full of holes, wouldn't they have him in for further questioning, with his lawyers, present, yes, but point out that there are flaws in the story that need to be answered.

This hasn't happened. Others might know more about why the QPS would operate this way. Are they not willing to disclose the evidence they have to the suspect(s).

Maybe the back window had been wound down ( as someone in a previous thread mentioned) to conceal the Century21 signage. Car was washed and only later the window was wound up. Although why anyone would wash their car with a window down? But than again panick can make you forget lots of things IMO

The window is fixed it doesnt wind down.

I don't know...but unless the rain was severe, it could still leave an only slightly dirty car with spots...either way..it sounds like there was something that alerted the police making the house call that morning to a situation they thought to be suspicious.....I am just saying that a difference in the condition of the cars compared to the suroundings may have been the thing that made them suspicious. As much as I try and picture the scenario when the cops arrive and get sus on GBC, I can't imagine what it was. But with the cars, I can kind of see it...they walk up the drive..this is the time they are kind of doing a sweep of the place..just a general sweep mind you, and once they are at the front door and chatting to the concerned husband..they are probably more focused on what he has to say UNLESS something is obviously way out of place..If GBC is guilty, he would have done a whip around of the front entrance/foyer where he thinks he will be talking to the coppers.... its seems feasible that he might overlook something outside in his haste...I dunno....my head doesn't quit these days, and I'm probably just talking crap

QPS can bring them in for interview but it is everyone's legal right to remain silent. Solicitors will advise not to be interviewed even in more trivial matters as once it is said it is on the record no taking it back.

Interesting comments made by GBC's Brother in Law in the past here -https://twitter.com/#!/ian_walton1

I have no idea what a 'exactly' a detective's job entails but investigation and case analysis would probably be far less onerous and mundane than the paperwork and procedures that would be required of them to get 'their ducks in a row". I mean any gov't department is usually drowning in paperwork. So I reckon that the investigation may be ongoing but at a far lesser pace than initially in early days. Now I think the paper trail and the 'case' against the offender would require them to have their heads down and bums up to ensure they have made the right paper trail to support their findings.

I am sorry, my mistake..the footage of GBC was looked at, not Olivia ....I don't know about Olivia...I remember commenting earlier that she had a very 'standover' stance when GBC talked to the media. She reminded me of movies where you have a man shoving a gun surreptitiously into someone's back and 'guiding' them where they wish, kind of monitoring him, then when I saw footag of her at the funeral, I changed my mind, she seemed crushed (but so did GBC) like I said before, my head is spinning and now I'm just talking sh#t

And another interesting tweet about the arrest being made without public knowledge - https://twitter.com/#!/search/allison baden-clay

Wouldnt get too excited about that. Public interest is huge and we will know and then Allison can RIP. Thats one strong lady who put up one hell of a fight IMO knowing that she would be leaving her three girls come on how much longer can you look at yourself in the mirror each morning hearing the screams the crys it wont end we wont let Allison down

Yes that is correct even when you are told it is 'off the record' - nothing is off the record as everything you say can be used for later on... even if you have made a mistake - you cannot take it back.
