Thanks again for search locations Dr!
So it actually seems like quite a broad search. I'd originally thought the searches had all been confined within minutes of where Carly was last sighted.

Its strange that theres no dialogue amongst locals given it seems like a tight knit community? I'm assuming that everyone is aware of Carlys story and there's been adequate media coverage.. or is that not the case? Don't tell me no one knows she's missing???

Everyone knows she's missing, but no ones talking ( which is very strange for a town that's rife with gossip, as any rural town is. )

Yeah, very strange. I can imagine everyone knows everyone and everyone knows everyone's business.
I wonder if people feel a little threatened or intimidated about talking for some reason. I know there's been mention of the silence surrounding one of the last people known to have seen Carly. Not implying that this is what you're suggesting or referring to Dr. I'm just speculating and wondering out loud.

6 months today that Carly has been missing. We've not forgotten you & your family Carly. Someone needs to speak up if you know anything.

Wow, I wonder what prompted that?! I hope they get the info the need quickly.

I wonder who owns the private property with the dam? That seems like a very specific piece of information deliberately released by police.
As to the significance of the 'Interstate and OS inquiries', that could simply relate to contacting relatives and associates of Carly or any suspects not local to the area? I don't know if much can be made from that detail...could be designed to make it seem like more is going on than actually is?? Its a good sign that they're still attempting generate media attention even if seemingly little progress has been made though.

Somebody has been arrested. Not for her disappearance though. Let me find out more....

The NSW police Facebook page says a 24 year old man has been arrested for drugs and firearms. And he was found by detectives investigating Carly's disappearance. I know we can't link to fb pages but it's a long press release on there.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Belmont mother, Carly McBride, have charged a man with drug and firearm offences.
About 12.30pm today (Thursday 23 April 2015), officers from the Hunter Valley’s Strike Force Karabi executed search warrants at three addresses within the local area: Gundy Road, Scone, Ted Clay Street, Muswellbrook, and Hayes Street, Scone.
During a search of these properties three firearms, (two shortened), a silencer and an extendable baton were seized as well as a substance suspected of being methamphetamine and $5875 in cash.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at the Ted Clay Street address. He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was charged with 13 offences relating to the possession and supply of methamphetamine, possession of firearms, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
The man has been refused bail and will appear in Scone Local Court tomorrow (Friday 24 April 2015).
Strike Force Karabi investigators stressed the charges did not relate to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Carly McBride; however, these did arise from that same investigation.
Carly, 31, was last seen on Calgaroo Avenue at Muswellbrook about 2pm on Tuesday 30 September 2014. Officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command were alerted when she failed to return to her Belmont home and couldn’t be located or contacted.
An investigation has been ongoing since her disappearance, with detectives following a number of lines of inquiry. Carly is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 165cm to 175cm tall, with a thin build, brown hair and eyes.
Police continue to hold serious concerns for her welfare, and are investigating a possible homicide.
Anyone with information about either matter should call Muswellbrook police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ Information you provide will be treated in the strictest of confidence. We remind people they should not report crime information via our Facebook and Twitter pages.
