She also said Chloe's mother Tammy had been raised in difficult circumstances and moved in with partner Garth when she was a teenager.

The local supermarket has provided food free of charge to the distraught, close-knit family.

He said he and his wife Tammy O’Donnell planned to 'paint their house and sell it' and leave the tiny town that has played host to an international mystery for the past 72 hours.

Mr Campbell later denied the claims. 'I've got no enemies, there have been no threats made against me, nothing,' he said.

I just hope that T doesn't end up raising those 4 poor children on her own because of his stupidity.

Does anyone know how old garth and Tammy are?

Looking at Garth I think he'd be around 40. Chloe's step sister who was interviewed looked about 15 from one of Garth's previous. Tammy looks in her 20s JMO.
FOR Tammy to find him so young would be a delightful moment for the family.

It sounds harsh but I would be naming names the moment I suspected someone had nabbed a child of mine. Nothing and I mean NOTHING would scare me more than losing my child. I do realize this family are victims of a heinous crime. However, no child should ever be put in harms way and if someone so much as made a threat to me about my child -well there is a responsibility I have to protect my family -so I think it is irresponsible for them not to be on to the police like lightning. Some scum bag with threats and a big drug ego is enough of a reason to play safe for your family and go to the authorities about a few grand.

Garth said in an interview that they were going to paint and sell it. Unless he's lying?

Real estate details were also posted, and it had the date of last sale. I wonder if it had the name of the buyer.

I'm gobsmacked!
How in hells name could that couple get a loan for a house unless there's a guarantor. Or maybe he does work hard.

A question was asked if 'dad of the year' had a job. I'm sure the dole would give him about $1,000 per week with 4 children + rent and all the other benefits.

Shhhh don't tell the overseas WS'ers our tax payers dollars are at breaking point.

Little Chloe taken over dad’s drug debt
FIRST ON 7: Detectives in Childers are still hunting for Chloe Campbell’s kidnapper as she recovers from the traumatic ordeal.
Family friends have told 7News Chloe's father was threatened nine weeks ago. He told his brother he was in serious trouble but didn't go to the police.

"They've done this to scare Garth ... (he) has been very scared, and this is why he's been a mess," family friend Melissa Small said.

Just hours before Mr Campbell received the good news, and ran to be by his daughter's side, he was assaulted in the main street of Childers.

Which completely contradicts this from yesterday:

As police confirmed they were considering retribution as a motive, close friends described a threat against Garth that was so serious it was officially reported.

and this:

Chloe’s parents have repeatedly said they don’t owe any debts and can’t think who would bear them a grudge.

Ought to quit with the denials!

He/they keep insisting they a) don't owe anything or b) have any threats, etc. made against them.

Denial, lying, or revisionist history of any sort isn't going to help anything.

I would imagine in Childers houses would have been cheap as chips back when it was bought. It was 2007 wasn't it? Back then banks were giving 100 percent loans and I'm sure the repayments wouldn't be too expensive. Its a basic two bedroom house which probably needs work. What is the actual address I will see if i can find details of the sale.

I have a feeling that real estate in Childers might not be too expensive ....

Well maybe they can sell their story now they've been in the news, and that can help them get their new house. I wish them well. Everyone deserves a break if they can get one.

Well there it is in black and white! Garth owes druggies money so they kidnap his three year old daughter. WTF! I had a strong feeling that this was not just a random abduction, that it was a lot closer to home, so to speak. My hinky meter has not let me down yet.

I find it a bit odd that the local police would not know who the local drug dealers are in Childers and surrounding areas. Of course they know!

How much does a single bed cost these days? How can any mother with one or more small children be bored all the time? Sorry, I'm just rambling in regard to stuff I've read online today. Best not go there, me thinks.

I'll sit on my hands now!

You don't have to pay a fortune for a bed.

Single bed here for $79.

$49 for this one:

$99:

$135 for a bed with a trundle:

$299 for a triple bunk:

I'm not denying that it can be very hard for low income families to buy even the basics, but surely they could laybe a $50 bed?

I think keeping quiet about the drug debt/threats to Garth was either a tactic of LE or the family. Have you read some of the comments from the general public now that it's been reported on MSM? I don't think they would have had public support to bring Chloe home safely if they'd been upfront about the mess they were in.

I sincerely hope they have a big rethink about their lifestyle. I also hope when the Morcombe's reached out to the Campbell/O'Donnell family, they gave them no money.

something still doesnt seem right for me. Its a big risk the kidnapper/s have taken, not only taking Chloe but also being caught for the drug part of this whole saga. :dunno:
