I can’t find an identikit. A few weeks prior to Gerard’s disappearance another young boy was offered a lift. He was waiting at a Kent Street bus stop near the Rockingham public library.

The driver of a beige or cream coloured sedan. When the 11-year old boy declined the man drove away. There’s only a vague description.

Gerard went missing shortly after passing 99 Kent Street.

It was six months after CGs abduction when Gerard Ross went missing. According to the media Gerard has been the only boy abducted.

Apparently when Gerard was found he was fully clothed – similar to CG. There was still money in his back pocket. His little body dumped near the side of a track - his body wasn’t covered – was CG near a track too?

A white ute was reported seen in the area in suspicious circumstances. I’m sure there was mention of a white ute seen within the area, prior to either JR or CGs body being discovered.

Gerard was abducted in daylight – 9.30am Tuesday 14 Oct, 1997. His family were holidaying at 105 Kent St, and it’s thought he was taken from outside No. 99 Kent St – that’s only four houses.

Is there anyone able to look up any telephone infrastructure within the area?

These are only my thoughts and opinions.

With Lisa Govan, Wark's trial for abducting and murdering Hayley Dodd has just finished. If he is somehow found innocent in this judge only trial (seemed circumstantial IMO) then the cops might be able to whack another charge on him for LG. He matches the description of a bald headed guy seen getting into a taxi with her and might have had connections with Deroes. JMOO.[/QUOTE]

IC: Wark's trial (Judge only) in Court 2 Supreme Court building in WA - is about half way through, in no way has it finished.

Hi PCS - Gerard Ross apparently hadn't been sexually assaulted. He was fully dressed when his body was found. I don't know how he was killed but it was so horrific the cops didn't tell the parents back then. Even the police working on the case kept it from other police. MOO

I wonder.
Dog hairs.
Was he fatally attacked by a local dog/s, and the owner decided to cover it up?

Logic would say that forensics could show evidence of dog attack.
Even simple forensics.
And we would've heard about a dog attack.

Gerard Ross

Police were ready to charge one local man after they found blood traces in his car and evidence that blood had been washed off a wall in a room at his home where he kept model aeroplanes. But the cleaning agent used prevented DNA from being extracted. Blood traces were also found at the suspect’s parents’ house.

The Director of Public Prosecutions wasn’t satisfied there was enough proof to proceed with charges. Detectives re-examined their suspect “with a fine tooth comb multiple times” but couldn’t find that extra skerrick of evidence they needed to get the DPP across the line. See above article. MOO

Has anyone found out any info about the male body washed up on Cott beach a few days after the BLF was found? I've been looking for ages & can't find a skerric! Was he ever identified?

In the City of*Rockingham, which investigated 44*dog attacks,*the owner of a Staffordshire-cross boxer was found guilty in court and fined $600 after the dog escaped from its lead and mauled a Jack Russell.

Same. Coroner's website doesn't go back far enough, and cemetery search can't be done by date of burials / cremations only.

Hi Petedavo - apparently dog hairs were found on GR's clothing or body. They were sent to Adelaide for testing. There is nothing written about the outcome of that.

Perhaps there was some involvement of a dog or dogs in GR's death. Maybe after killing GR the dog or dogs were around him. It's too horrible to write what I think dogs could do. The man who found his body refused to tell anyone about it. Too grisley. MOO

I thought he was a very unlikeable person. He was very disliked in the Badgingarra community. I dont recall him having any friends there. There was something very unpleasant about him. I didn't 'know him' nor did I want to....just knew who he was.
