Great reading Janwa. I’ve picked out the information I found to be of interest:

Serial killers (SKs) usually premeditate their crimes, frequently fantasizing and planning with detail, including the specific victim.
A SK usually selects a 'type of victim'. Victims of SKs have been noted to share common characteristics such as age, appearance, occupation, hairstyle, life style and race.

SKs are likely to use similar event locations (but different physical locations) for their crimes, move the body from one location to another and dispose of the body in remote locations.

In several series of serial killings, the victims were abducted from an outdoor location and eitherkilled at that location or taken elsewhere and killed. Victims who were killed in a residential location usually knew the offender.

It has been suggested that victims are most likely spatially biased toward the serial killer's home centre. SKs in general target locations they know best, concentrating on potential victims within their immediate environments and surrounding areas. (Not the case with the accused CSK, unless they weren’t his initial killings). Just my opinion of course.

Overseas research indicates victims are usually young, vulnerable Caucasian women also tend to target other vulnerable victims such as children, the elderly, the homeless,prostitutes or mentally retarded persons. Victim selection tends to be based on easiest access for the SKs. Male SKs generally tend to target prostitutes, women, young boys or girls as victims, usually strangers. ( do prostitutes get mentioned in the news?)

In sum, previous overseas research (predominantly undertaken in the US) suggests SKs are mostly white males in their 20s or 30s, of above average intelligence, who usually commit intra-racial murders of strangers. It also suggests that most serial homicides are sexual in nature.

One of the questions in the current research is whether these patterns hold for Australian SKs.

In most cases, the victims were killed with a knife, and it was common to find that they had suffered multiple stab wounds. In three series of serial killings involving predominantly elderly victims, the victims were strangled to death with a ligature. In two series of serial killings, the offenders used a fire arm or the pretense of firearm to overpower their victims and demand obedience.

Whilst I'm on the subject of sleuthing the provenance of the Claremont Ghost Videos, I'll quickly digress to a side issue, which is what Gary Hughes's second story is about.

Hi everyone - the mention of Swanbourne brought to mind the fact that there is/ was ? a nudist beach there. I’m sure the CSK would have frequented there as he is alleged to be an exhibitionist. I wonder if there were any reports of him approaching women on Swanbourne Beach. MOO

Casey Prins is retired. And John of UK doesn't provide enough information to verify this assertion.

Anyhow, back to finding out the true provenance of the alleged Claremont Ghost Videos.

It appears that mention of Lebanon dates the appearance of the Videos upon You tube to sometime prior to 2006.

It would appear that some posts had concluded that the CG videos were therefore the work of a former Perth Taxi Driver who had returned to Lebanon, however the alleged Taxi Driver mentioned in Debbie Marshall's book was from some other European country. Others had pointed out that using Tor could just as easily mean that a Tor exit node in Lebanon would cause obfuscation of the videos provenance without having to travel to the middle east.

IMO, I think the clues to provenance might lay in who first mentions the videos existence.

There was a single vehicle roll over on West Coast Highway nearby Swanbourne, possibly close to City Beach in the early hours. Volkswagen beetle, single female occupant, found deceased. No witnesses to the crash. Sometime in the months before or after Julie Cutler's Fiat was found at Cottesloe sustaining what appears to be damage caused by being upended upon it's roof. Hopefully someone can find the MSM articles on microfiche at the State Library. Hopefully, there's a picture of the vehicle to enable ruling out any damage that might evidence the vehicle being struck by another. The pictures of the Fiat is indeterminate in regards to whether a pit manoeuvre or a side swipe was employed in causing the damage.

Ha ha ha ha - haven’t been myself! I thought nudist were law abiding citizens who liked being nude. Didn’t think too much about their behaviour and kinky stuff going on. I have never heard of the police being called there for people doing weird stuff. I guess the accused could be more a peeping Tom in that situation but who knows. MOO

It appears to be that both were posted by the same person IMO. Furthermore IMO the provenance might belong to someone still posting upon forums, if so, who should contact the police and answer to what they do or do not actually know about the case and the accused. I won't mention who it is IMO as last time I did that a truck load of posts were deleted by WS and that thread was shut down, with stern warnings not to do so again.
