Seemingly CGs body was placed fairly close to the road close enough for Telstra workers to detect an odour.
Theres no proof at all about what it was that they actually smelt. It could have been anything. A dead blue tongue under a bush close by or any other kind of animal in the vicinity is just as likely to have been the cause.

In the GSK USA recent arrest - It was a GED Match to DNA, an open source genealogy-DNA match web site. No warrants needed.

Perhaps this is what WAPOL did with the CSK DNA - if they didn't I suggest they start with all the other cold cases with DNA on GED Match.

USA cops entered the DNA into a database like they were just anyone else entering DNA (under a fake name) in and got a distant hit. They worked it till they found the person who fit their profile and age range. Then, when they had it narrowed down, they picked up GSK discarded DNA and compared it - for a match.

2 days into GSK arrest - he's been into court (albeit in a wheelchair) and cops have explained how his arrest came to be - unlike our CSK where it's 15-16months down the track. Gosh we move slowly here.

I know some of the major DNA paid websites actually have transparency reports as to requests via law enforcement. It does not mean that law enforcement couldn't do some undercover work like they have in the USA.

To the end of 2017, Ancestry.com has only provided DNA information to law enforcement once in 2014. It is not clear what country. 23andme haven't had any requests in Australia.

Spinny, can you confirm if the scream was heard on the night she disappeared or what night it was heard on?

My position for where CG's body was discovered is fairly accurate I think. It's not on the edge of a farm or houses, but about 1.00 km away.

The bush was dense and isolated enough for someone to hide a personal crop of plants in and not visible at all from the road.

In your attachment with the full site and by looking at google maps, there seems to be some sheds/building to the left of what you have pictured in this attachment. Maybe someone was staying there at the time.

The following is the 9 news attachment of the search. Fairly accurate to what you mapped.

Thanks Enzeder

Hi again all, Found this (from a forum at the time of CG discovery) and had never read such details about the location of CG's body and the fact that Pipidinny (Aboriginal word for "to see the breast/s sitting down here") Road was such a "busy road" according to locals? Strange place to chose to leave CG if this was the case in 1997?

And this which I don't remember reading before? Perhaps the CSK returning to the scene of the crime?:

If CGs body was located on the southern side of Pipidinny Rd and approx.. 3kms from the beach, it’s approximately at this point.

distance from -31.583288, 115.647181 to -31.581898, 115.673402

There aren’t any significant landmarks along Pipidinny Rd, except the Telstra transformer, perhaps that was a landmark used by the CSK. That’s if he wanted to return to that particular spot (thinking prior to GPS).

It might have also been a landmark used by someone growing a crop.

Within that vicinity there’s what looks like a firebreak which might have been used for accessibility. The firebreak is slightly east of the transformer, and possibly provided partial access by vehicle – just enough to park off the roadside in order to obscure the vehicle. That area is at the beginning of a slight hill. JMO.

Firebreak/track– slightly east of transformer

Thanks Jackman, good thinking about that transformer too, would be an excellent landmark.

USA law enforcement are happy to admit they took the DNA profile they had and checked the GED site. They found a familial match. They covertly followed this person for about 6 days and recovered something he threw away and found a DNA match. The person arrested had never been a poi. There don't seem to be any laws in the USA to prevent them from doing this.

Thanks for that image from old news footage. From comments I've read on web sleuths it seems at a later date a bee keeper set up bee hives, which are the small structures you see in the 2014 Google images.

I'm not discounting a scream couldn't be heard from the farm houses, but it wasn't close. It would be interesting to find out exactly when the scream was heard.

It's always seemed to be a strange location to dispose of a body, 50 m from the road and in dense bush, when Jane was very close to the road. Unless of course whoever put the body in that location was working off exact co-ordinates?

The scream was heard from someone working on property, not the family - so yes could be from the outbuildings.

Janwa, great reading thx, so they don’t know for certain why SKs stop their predatory ways, but speculate it might be due to the decline in testosterone levels – due to aging.

Some of the suggestions were:

* Maybe they get tired or bored and just don't want to do it anymore.

* Perhaps if a victim struggles and spooks the attacker, the killer "might think then, 'maybe I don't want to do this anymore because I might get caught' or, 'I want to stop and reflect on the carnage I wreaked in the past'." As we age, we do reflect upon our past –that’s what normal people do!

* The realization of the ability to collect DNA evidence, left by the most meagre material. Through television dramas the public have become aware, how DNA is collected.

I’d think being a SK would be quite stressful. Surly they’d become somewhat nervous whenever a police siren is active. Not bothering to make any long-term plans - always looking over their shoulder, awaiting the TRG to come bursting through the front door – It’s certainly not a good way to live!

I can’t help but feel that the CSK will be a bit miffed by the Golden State Killer’s arrest. All the attention this serial killer Joseph DeAngelo is getting might “rain on the alleged CSK case’s parade”😀 MOO

Quite possibly, a bit put out that someone else is getting all the attention.

My thoughts are the accused CSK is detained within an isolated cell-block. Thinking prison guards pass any food trays under the door or through a hatch - maybe some reading books too.

If he was to eat in the dining hall there’d be enough seats for all, but I bet he sits on his own – I don’t think anyone would be game enough to sit with him – very difficult for someone to strike-up a conversation – I don’t think he’d be the chatty type or be saying much at all. JMO.

Well, if I was in jail with him, he's the first person that I would sit down & chat with

Speaking of SKs and these "individuals" stopping their behaviour, here's a lecture I'd love to have attended. Sounds awfully like the accused CSK in how they eventually caught him - The Grim Sleeper. Convicted of 14 murders, stopped and then started again after 13 year break. Sentenced to Death.

So this man is 66 years old now and was still committing these murders in his 50s. That being said, is it possible that the CSK (whomever that is) could resume again, that is, if he/they ever stopped?

QUOTE: (BBM)

The seminar will be hosted by Marguerite Rizzo, one of the prosecutors on the case. Also presenting, journalist Christine Pelisek, whose groundbreaking reporting for the L.A. Weekly gave the serial killer his nickname and brought the case into public consciousness. You’ll learn first hand how this cold case crime spree was solved through a combination of investigative tenacity and advances in forensic analysis, specifically the use of familial DNA to identify a suspect. Then we’ll follow the investigation into the courtroom, where after so many years of questions and heartbreak, a jury weighed the evidence and finally found the killer guilty."
