The whole thing wouldn't look so bad if the previous DPP's wife hadn't been murdered and the husband charged with her murder.

If the accused was staff or frequented the Claremont Speedway prior, this would make for some interesting reading.

It looks even worse that the accused was found not guilty and his wife a Supreme Court registrar.

The whole raceway connection may get very incestuous in this case. You could write an exceptional fiction novel.

I was wondering what could connect the accused to Claremont regularly enough to be comfortable and familiar with this area so far removed from where he grew up.
Then in previous thread we sleuthed a sticker on the back of a 4WD seen in Google Street view at the Kewdale property.
The sticker turned out to be an WA 95 sticker commemorating the tragic deaths of 2 members of the Krikke family which was handed out at the speedway once. They drove a car with the number 95 on it.
So it was figured that the accused grew up as a regular Claremont speedway fan.
Anyways back in 1996 there were some drivers that drew a big following. One bloke starting to make his Mark at the time was a driver called "Magic" who's dead now.
I can see why the accused would be a fan of Magic. Do you spot it?

Seeing as it was everyone else discussing the security, it would probably be ideal if they knew they are talking about the right security company considering Bret probably wrote the article on the new security company at the time.

It could save you pages and pages of speculation. I would say he would give you the name of the company. Just trying to help.

None of the links to the episode work, even for the transcript and ABC seems to have removed all ref to it and I have not seen it before so just wondered what sort of factual information may have been discussed (if any)?

I am also wondering if someone could kindly provide a link to where it states what Jane Rimmer was wearing on the night she was last seen alive? A picture of similar clothing would be good if there is one but I would be happy with a simple description either way. I have been going around in circles and can't seem to find anything. It's probably somewhere really obvious but I'm not having any luck.

Its all innocent, but the new prosecutors name is pseudonymous with the Claremont speedway in its early days.

If the speedway was visited prior driving to Claremont entertainment district it may be the making of a new ABC series of Rake.

Perth was a population of 1 million people, but right now the whole thing is coming into 1 degree of separation.

There is going to be a few people connecting the dots as the court information spills to the streets.

The potential too, is the relationships might come that close that it could be considered a conflict of interest for the chief prosecutor and the trial start again.

I am certain there was an Ogden's on Stirling Hey, Cott....and yes, circa 96/97... A few enquiries won't hurt..

The Albion Hotel website has pictures that are identical to the interior of the Gosnells Hotel with the tram and hanging row boats. It also uses identical pictures for the menu.

Thank you so much for that DRT. I had gone through the "no discussion" thread a few times and wasn't able to see the thumbnails of the clothes. Have since realised using the tapatalk app sorts that problem. Thanks again!

Sorry KrissyJ, I actually have written to Bret about the security company and posted his reply. You might have missed it perhaps? Here is Bret's reply to my question again (BBM):

"Thanks for your note.Like you I had teenagers clubbing in Claremont at the crucial time, and we have all been deeply affected.The old Post archives are very hard to search before we digitised our records.However there were several security companies operating at the time - Claremont Council hired one in response to the public outcry, and Club Bay View also received a court order to upgrade their security presence on the streets of Claremont, not just at the club.Good luck with your sleuthing.Has anyone found a photo of E in his 20s? Id love to see it.

She mentioned that this guy K liked being around teenage girls. He had taken groups from Little Athletics to different competitions overseas. The family were wondering if he had been up to no good. He apparently had taken a trip somewhere in Asia with a group of teenage girls and boasted about how they would change in front of him. Totally inappropriate! I asked if K knew the accused CSK and my friend said he did but wasn’t allowed to talk about accused. My friend did say that K knew accused from the Claremont Speedway also. The accused had been a regular for years from when he was early teens. All this is alleged. MOO

That’s great conformation about the Claremont speedway. Just to recap what I have spoken about in the past. It’s possible the CSK spent Friday nights at the speedway, and at closing time went nearby to a Cottesloe hotel and then onto the night clubs at Claremont - only in my opinion of course.

That takes care of Friday nights but unsure about a Saturday night? Perhaps he had an evening job on Saturday nights. I'm thinking within the western suburbs.

Oh dear, K sounds quite disgusting and sleazy! It's amazing what these people get away with isn't it before someone challenges them? And there's that Claremont Speedway link again. Yes it is all alleged but Annalise, isn't it fascinating how you just "happened" to be out with a friend who just "happened" to be talking about her nephew, who just happened to be involved in Little Athletics, that's a lot of happenings! (And yes KrissyJ, we are only separated by 1 degree in Perth! And it keeps getting closer!!!) Kind of gives you a little shiver doesn't it when these things just happen?

If people considered how small Perth was at the time of the CSK it makes a lot of the similarities , connections , whatever you wish to call them not so spectacular

Between photos shown of security guards , names of people mentioned over the years who may be involved I personally know a dozen people who have been mentioned in this case , and I know nothing

There will be people all over Perth who know people mentioned in the case , and I do not think that the lack of separation in Perth is considered enough when some theories are put together
