I'm just going to throw my opinion out there.. I don't think the killer new any of the victims prior to abduction, These were absolutely random abductions based off of nothing other than a female victim and an opportunity to abduct without drawing attention, I don't believe there is any 'Iona link' or any link to a property development vigilante or a snuff film ring e.t.c, just a guy with a deviant fantasy and girls in the wrong place at the wrong time. Although you are free to discuss any theory or motive behind the attacks keep in mind that it kind of derails the thread and I don't want this ending up like the BF thread which come across as being a haven for 'psychics', conspiracy theorists and attention *advertiser censored*.

Also I'd be interested in hearing more about Papertrails Taxi driver (of interest) is there anything you can share with us other than his places of residence without revealing his identity?

It may not even have to be on all occasions, he or she, or they apparently had their last kill, or at least police are focused on these three cases.

Yes, true Firestarter, coincidently Jane was left near a stream.

I would I no way refer to the gutter along side Woolcoot as a stream.

Where is exactly is "the Eastern Hills"? I know there is a school of the same name in Mt Helena so assume it is there. Is it sort of east of where the high school is?

This has been talked about at length before but the locations of JR and CG are very coincidental. I assume police would have sent a search team out at 90 degrees east and had a bit of a look around?

It is of course possible that the CSK dumped JR at a random spot (pre planned and recon'd but with no thought to where his next body would be dumped) and when JR was found he then got his map out and found a spot 180 degrees with Claremont being the axis point.

Thanks for bringing this up. It was as per my suggestion that Police searched the Pechey Rd carpark & area at the top of Morrison Rd, Swan View. They did. But I did tell the SCS to confirm the scream heard by a nearby resident WAS on the same night of 26th/27th January 1996 first.

They were all long weekends? So someone accountable to a system. Someone who needed to do what they did inside a particular long weekend window, and turn up to work like nothing happened. Someone needed to be in on Tuesday so it looked like nothing happened. If someone didn't turn up Tuesday, it would have been 'recorded'.

Many people have jobs where they can be in many places, and unaccountable to say a boss without being noticed. Maybe this person would have been noticed.

SS disappeared on the Australia Day long weekend.

JR disappeared on the 9th June, which was not part of a long weekend anywhere in the country.

CG disappeared on the 14th March, 1997. This was not part of long weekend, anywhere in Australia. Some pubs were making the most of it being the weekend and celebrating St Patricks day early, in a bid to boost alcohol sales, but even if it had been st patricks day that is not a holiday anywhere in Australia.

Thats great, because I read somewhere here they were all long weekends, so presumed so. I was convinced someone did better research than I had,. Never mind.

Here is an example. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...er-1996-1997-Perth-Western-Australia-4/page24

I read in Debi Marshalls book something about it being Canberra day etc. But that, is in another state.

I felt all the dates related to the 3 Saints of Iona feast days, seeing as all girls went to Iona. Also pagan ritual days either on, or about 4 days later, none before. Seasonal events. Abduction would have to take place the weekend prior when the girls were out on the town, not at home. Interesting St Patrick kicked the pagans out of Isle of Iona.
Cutler went missing on the solstice.

In the name of forum peace, we wont discuss these dates as it upsets some forum users. So lets not argue.

Both the van and station wagon could have come from anywhere. Universities would have both van and station wagons at the time for departmental use?

Obviously we don't what type of vehicle the van is, and we are presuming VS Commodore fibres are the vehicle. Not the possibility someone might disguise their vehicle type with planted fibres? Police are saying they have VS Commodore fibres. We are left to guess the rest.

Canberra day was the 10th March- making the weekend before a long weekend in the ACT. It was also a public holiday in SA, VIC and TAS. The weekend before that one was a long weekend in WA- March 3 was labour day.

Its a drain to the sea I believe as discussed in earlier threads. I think the drains, drain wetlands.

If you look below, you will see blue lines on the map showing drains around Claremont
Somewhere there is a post where I felt both Jane and Ciara had drain outlets west of their discovery. Although Ciaras was dry. Pippidinny was a swamp I think, of some environmental value. Both are of environmental value I think.

Problem 1. It has been brought up numerous times over the years by new posters and been debunked every time

Problem 2. You presented it as fact

Problem 3. You consistently post incorrect information.

I don't intentionally intend to offend but someone needs to point it out to you.

So what exactly are you saying? The girls were disposed of down drains and washed at those random places? I'm not really understanding what the relevance of drains is?

If someone stopped in a university car, you were tired, or half cut, would you get in? Being mindful it may have had a logo on the side? Say a VS Commodore station wagon?

I made an error in my earlier post. It was the queens birthday long weekend when JR disappeared. Not in Western Australia, but in the Eastern States. Of the three women, one went missing during a long weekend in WA. Two did not.

It was not the Canberra day long weekend in the ACT. That was the weekend prior. Canberra day in 1997 occured on Monday, March 10. That is an error in Marshall's book. The other error refers to IONA. JR did not go there. She went to Hollywood High School.

Probably, back then. Or a taxi, or a police car, or a telecom vehicle, or a roads vehicle, or in with one of the bouncers or bar men who looked familiar, or the bloke that use to drive my school bus, or the really friendly fellow I buy my lotto ticket from. If I was tired, broke and keen to get moving, I probably would have accepted a lift with someone I shouldnt so I could get home faster and save a cab fair. I wouldn't now, but absolutely, back then.

Commodore Taxi in Claremont 1997. Notice the beacon sitting on the roof rack and very minimal vehicle graphics.

Says Ciara had a steady boyfriend. Is this common knowledge?
I was always under the impression the three girls were single.
Me too. I have never heard that before.
Something I have meant to ask for ever, did ciara have an Irish accent? or had she grown up in Australia and sounded Australian? Not that is has any bearing on the case really but I am just curious.

CG went to school in Perth and had a general Australian accent.

"Most Western Australians speak with either a general Australian accent or a broad Australian accent. Those who grew up in suburban Perth typically speak with a general Australian accent, and those from regional areas ("from the country") speak with a broad accent."

Thanks for this Peter.
It was good to see the relevant footage and to note the commodore taxi which it was suggested in an earlier post was not in use during this period. Coincidentally I spoke to my wife's dad last night who started driving taxis in 97 just after Ciara disappeared. He too said that Commodore taxis were in use although were relatively rare compared to Falcons and had to be specifically requested by the driver. If this was a rogue taxi and a commodore it sounds like it should have been fairly easy to identify unless it was fake.
