They are also hoping to speak to any walkers or joggers that were between Lorne and Urquarts Bluff between sunrise and 11am on Sunday.

https://www.vicpolicenews.com.au/ne...rding-elisa-curry-to-continue-through-weekend

So DC called police to report her missing between 9-11am but probably closer to 9 seeing searchers started at 11am?

How quickly can the police pull together a search like that?

Where are you getting that searchers started at 11am? (And which searchers?)

BBM: If you are presuming the reporting time by that sentence, what about this sentence?

Police are hoping to speak to any drivers that were in the vicinity of Aireys Inlet between 10pm Saturday night and 10pm Sunday who may have dash cam footage.

I'm not sure where these timelines come from, but I am not positive they would mean missing person reporting times. It could be perhaps that the family had taken a drive along the Lorne and Urquarts Bluff route at 11am and saw no sign of Elisa. Maybe then reported her sometime after that. Then by later that day a search had commenced.

Because why the end point of 10pm Sunday in the other sentence? I would more presume that the search was in full swing by 10pm on Sunday.

Thegreatoutdoors, your theory makes alot of sense and is pretty much what I am now thinking.

Although I have changed my theory so many times, but as I have a friend who is looking like she is an alcoholic and I have stayed with her before, and we have gone to bed, and I have heard her get up in the middle of the night for a while and then go back to bed, and in the morning I realised she has drunk the rest of the alcohol. So now I think that EC maybe have got back up after neighbour left or woke up after a couple hours, drank alot more, and then not being good mentally has possible decided to end it all and jumped off the cliff which doesn't look far from her house. Then when hubby and kids got there, he maybe spoke to the neighbour and they worked out she must have drunk alot and as he knows her, he realised that she wouldn't be in a very good state of mind and could have contemplated suicide, hence his and the police's quick reaction.

Another theory is she planned it, hence why she didn't go to GF, wanted to watch GF though, neighbours came over, she was drinking, neighbour made sure she was going to bed when neighbour left, she got up after neighbour left, drank some more possibly and then jumped off cliff or walked into the ocean, makes me shudder just writing it :(

And I might be really tempted to turn mine off if I were very very angry.

Yep! I've turned mine off before when I've been intoxicated and didn't trust myself to not cause trouble for sober me to put up with the next day. I've also not turned it off but wished I had upon waking up and reading what I've sent people. :gaah::blushing:

Also, I know we don't know exactly which neighbour said what...but it was the eyes closed lady that said she saw Elisa before heading off to work at 1030pm wasn't it? She would know the clothes worn...unless she was looking through a window when Elisa was in bed, covered by sheets?

I also think it was her (apologies, I forget her name) that was at Elisa's house with her husband and later went back. So I think she would know at least one outfit Elisa was wearing. Whatever Elisa was wearing when they were socialising, and what Elisa was wearing when she was called back and saw her get into (or was it get ready for?) bed.

The person who assaulted Tony Abbott has stated that he did so due to his personal resentment and not due to the debate. It just so happened that he was wearing a badge at the time - something I'm sure he regrets now.

That said, I think you have a valid theory which got me thinking. Perhaps not necessarily with neighbours though. Maybe her opinions online attracted some angry responses. I've been known to have strong opinions online and have received nasty and often threatening messages on Facebook. Perhaps someone had been stalking her/sending her threatening messages on Facebook, resulting in her shutting it down to escape. Often people are able to track others down using relatively common information that is revealed on social media.

Hmmm. Bullied or trolled online.
That’s another reason to shut your Facebook. Wonder if she posted in advance about heading down to Airey’s.

The police are wanting to speak with walkers/joggers between dawn and 11am

I'm assuming the cut off of 11am is because that's when police were first in that area searching themselves?

I think the sunrise to 11am request may relate to eliminating potential sightings as other joggers etc.

Oh i certainly like your posts Tropper. But, have you any proof of these cards? I'm in the same 'economic' group, you could say, as her. But i friggn hate shopping! unless to take the kids, which i did last week ( and i read 1/2 a book at the shopping centre while they browsed & purchased for like 6 hours)! I personally shopped for 1/2 an hour & can't at all be bothered with cards...bought a nice skirt & top in one shop - but that took like 30 mins. thus the book reading! I just know the kids like to shop - so giving them the time :D

she has to keep two houses up to par, with the neighbors of both locations. these are million dollar properties, as a low , low estimate. so, yes, I think I can fairly claim that she would at least have these cards, and naturally many more, like a wine merchant card, a Hotel Association card, loyalty cards, platinum this and gold that, credit cards for travelling to marathon events, air line flybuy stuff, ... then there is the Country Road card for the sheets, and towels and linen, the lagouile card for the cutlery, a JB hi fi card for the kids, .. oh. I could go on..

Hate shopping... you would have to admit, dear ialiwa, that you would be in the minority range. Entire forests of trees and acres of the best grazing land are stripped to the core to erect vast palaces specifically attuned to the determined shopper of Melbourne, and the prize customer is the one with 2 or more houses to equip and maintain....

common sense says she has those cards..

Her being home without her family, why she didn't go to the grand final - is key. They need to understand why this happened. Husband would know why. And has possibly told police.

I honestly don't know what else a turned off phone could convey, except a savage silent fury..

well. hehe. that's why I turn mine off.. never any other reason at all. .

what if it just went flat though. happens to me like 2 night a week....

Not sure really? That timeline was for dash cam footage so maybe they are looking for a particular car/van??

It's all just an assumption that made sense to me

I so like you, but i beg to differ. We have 4 houses beside our own -- doesn't mean i have cards or could be bothered with them...

I never would have believed the suicide angle of a mother until the Robyn santon case either. It's hard to imagine leaving your children :( the reports saying she seemed in good spirits don't mean much because usually if a person has made up their mind to kill themselves they are at peace with the idea and even come across as happier than usual because they have made the decision. Anyway it's a strange case and I thought I would put my 2 cents worth in :)

Certainly not insensitive!

On this site you'll find yourself googling pedophiles, pooling blood, lividity, ahhgh the list goes on.

Stick around, you'll toughen up.

Just dont mention Koppers logs...people will get fired up.

Lovin the black humour.

Perhaps they are trying to determine vehicles in the area during that 24 hour period, for sure.

I do think the sunrise to 11am request may be more for witnesses who may have seen Elisa running that way. Perhaps that first witness who thought they saw Elisa running, saw the runner at around 11am, on that particular route. Or the family did do a drive along her regular routes to see if they could see her, at around that time.

Is it a regular thing for police to put so much time and effort into a suspected suicide? Asking for dash cam footage? Are the looking for video of her walking the streets, other cars in the area, or both?

Problems that we know of that Elisa was dealing with at the time of her disappearance;

Depression
Alcoholism
Marital problems
Disagreements with sibling over Mother's inheritance
Placement of holiday home on the market (maybe this last one was the straw that broke the camel's back and the one that tipped her over the edge)?

I also remember reading that husband also took a friend as well as the children to the MCG for the AFL GF. So this means that he had purchased 5 tickets which probably included Elisa going as well as a family outing and maybe Elisa changed her mind and decided not to go, thus explaining why husband took a friend.

For her to be alone at the holiday home at the time of her disappearance, a planned suicide may well have been on her mind.

I have wondered if she is in hiding somehere, as she has done in the past. That would be a miracle. MOO

...um, ......surely not ...the sister...?

I don't think not going to the grand final is that big a deal. My hubby goes to the footy with the kids all the time without me because I'm not a huge fan. I might watch it on tv but like others have said I'm stoked to have some time out haha.
