Ah, that's really interesting about women who dismember tending to be dominant types Marly. I don't know anything about women who dismember!

Shall go have a look at the thread you've linked :seeya:

It's just such an unthinkable thing to do, to cut someone up. These perps, man or woman, are mad and bad imo. :scared:

Little Zahra's killer, Elisa Baker, was definitely the dominant type.

And I agree, mad, bad and also evil.

The first time I saw her mug shot, I thought, that is the face of pure evil. It still creeps me whenever I see it.

Lindy Williams also uses the name Lindy Seal. And her FB page of that name has some very interesting entries about her relationship with George..........

:seeya:

The FB page has been taken down.
That was quick.

Such a gruesome crime - terribly sad for George's family.
This must be totally shaking them to the core with grief.
Justice for George, and hats off to the Police for their determination in finding out what happened.

The FB page worked for me just then, FigTree. Are you logged into FB? Sometimes they don't come up if we're not logged in.......

Don't want to be gruesome here but if she dismembered his body by removing all limbs and head then it would not weigh as much as when he was alive.
I have no trouble when I buy food for our pets. It is usually in 30kg bags that I take from the boot and carry to the shed. I am nearly 70 years of age and she is much younger than me and certainly looks much fitter. Plus probably being hyper after completing the task would give her extra strength. JMOO

Also I think money was the cause of it. Was she going to get a stand in man to have a marriage ceremony and then she would have been his widow nd got the lot. Again. JMOO

GG must have been stressed after the unsuccessful case against the ATO for capital gains tax on the townhouse. Perhaps GG died of natural causes but maybe his estate would have gone to his children, so LW concealed the death so she could continue living the lifestyle?

Good thinking there kailee. I can't imagine how anyone could stomach the horrific act of dismembering someone at all, so it's easy to think they'd have to be very unbalanced to even go there. But ... part of me also sees that in a panic, for a woman especially, it could be sheer practicality. Much easier to dispose of smaller parts, dropped off far and wide - than deal with an entire body.
Please don't think I am defending anyone who does this! I can't even manage to whack a cockroach, so again I don't get how anyone can kill another person, let alone continue on to interfere with their remains.
I wonder if anyone close to her noticed that she had behaved any differently in the time since GG was last seen? I also hope nobody else was involved and helped her out - it would be even worse if someone close to her had been drawn into whatever transpired. :(

Don't be embarrassed FigTree!!

The only reason I even know that you need to be logged in is because I have had the exact same experience, SO many times!!! :floorlaugh:

Fascinating case but so little information at present. Explained it to my OH. He was surprised, especially when he saw the photo of Lindy and George. How does a woman described as 'small, middle aged' in the media, murder and dismember a man described as thick set and anywhere between 180 and 190 cms? Did she shoot then dismember him? Did she pay someone else to do it?

Why was the torso dumped a few metres from a busy road? Was it payback by the killers because Lindy didn't continue paying blackmail?

If she didn't dump the torso there but was informed it had been dumped, she must have been in panic. What could she do? Even a torso would be very heavy, probably too heavy for a middle-aged woman to lift and put in her car. So she tried to burn it, right there on the side of the road in daylight? Surely she knew grass couldn't incinerate a human torso? All the burning grass would do would be to alert the council or fire-fighters. But it still took them ten months to find Lindy despite having a description of her and her car? Ten months of worrying every minute of the day would be enough to make most people run to the police to confess all they knew

Yet she stuck it out. Pretending all the while that George was alive but elsewhere? She has a lot more nerve than I. And she was living in his house the entire time? Surely she knew it was just a matter of time before the police knocked at the door?

But I still find it hard to believe she would or could have dismembered him herself. The police initially suspected it was a bikie murder, from some articles I've seen. Maybe George got on the wrong side of a deal and was killed? Or maybe Lindy put out a contract for George's death but couldn't keep up with the payments to the murderers? Or maybe the killers warned her they'd get her sons next if she gave them away? Or maybe they said they'd kill her next?

If Lindy killed George or even paid someone else to do it, why would she go to such lengths? Did she and George really get engaged? Maybe George wanted to break it off? Maybe he had another woman? Or maybe he wanted Lindy's money (if she had any, I don't know)

She might have attacked him Katherine Knight style - lured him into bed, climbs on top and grabs a knife? He would be in a vulnerable position and if she got his heart or throat she could have gotten it over him. She also could have drugged him - might explain the extent of the medication found in his blood? Seems to me like it was definitely planned and she just went on with life like there was nothing wrong in her world.

She seems to be such a pretty, gentle woman, doesn't she? It's so hard to believe

I am sorry but to me she comes across as a "piece of work" - very high maintenance...look at her pose in that photo...says it all in my opinion regardless of what we know now.

Oh I didn't see your post before I replied Marlywings - I thought that maybe this woman might have used a similar tactic to subdue George as such...

And just to add something creepy here - I've read interviews with serial killers who express surprise at how much easier it was to dismember a body than they expected.

I mean, it seems like it would be an impossible task but evidently it isn't......

Sorry, I know that's gross info :blushing:

That's the exact same thought I had when I first saw her.

<modsnip>

I agree Isis I have seen those interviews myself - that is truly horrifying. She was obviously left to her own devices a lot of the time - plenty of time to get rid of the body.

<modsnip>Everything screams off about this woman...and I am struggling to believe that there was domestic violence. He might not have been perfect but I think she dominated in this relationship...

There is another account that seems suspiciously like Lindy as well - comments on the Lindy Seal page with the initials MC. Could also be her sister as they look alike.

<modsnip> It's about appearance. Look at me hanging off my latest man, look at the latest thing i have, look at the fabulous life i lead! The ex-step mother had Borderline Personality Disorder and her life revolved around showing everyone how perfect her life was while out of sight she was cheating, manipulating, stealing, faking, generally doing what she had to do to keep her lifestyle.

If Lindy felt her life was being taken from her by either him kicking her out or his ATO debts leaving them broke, then she'd do what she had to to maintain her lifestyle. IMHO.

Nooooo....really? You don't say!!?

Let's see...decapitated, other body parts removed, charred in a fire which appeared suspiciously lit...

Based on precedent in previous Queensland Police cases, I was expecting it to be declared a suicide.

HA!

Has the Katherine Knight case got any sort of thread here? That case made such a huge impact on me, when I first read about it.

As for small women doing violent things... I had a friend who was a hair over 5 ft tall and regularly went wild boar hunting with a crossbow. Incredibly strong, for all her teeny tiny petiteness, and not scared of giant feral pigs, or butchering them. Lovely person, btw, but whenever i see people wondering how a small woman could accomplish a brutal crime, I think of this friend and the photos of the giant pigs she hunted. And how then she could doll up for a night out at the pub, very feminine!
