But he also destroyed a cat and her kittens and left the owner, (who he was friends with) to find the disgusting carnage. Did he also have a catwoman lurking inside him. I think he was just pure evil and sadistic. Never mind the psycho analysis - some people seem to be born bad.

The older I get, and the more experienced I get, the more convinced I become that men who truly believe that women are fully human are a rare breed. They are out there, but they are NOT the norm. Not just men who pay lip service to it, or who don't do anything horrible because it's the law that they can not, but truly in their hearts see women as fellow humans first and not just walking vaginas*.
*Vagina in all states: virginal, mother, *advertiser censored* ... you are classified as a woman to most men by what's happening or what has happened to your vagina. I know this is cynical as hell, but I believe it more and more everyday.
Oh, I absolutely think the average MRA, MGTOW type male is utterly envious and jealous of women. They basically admit it. "Female privilege", "pussy pass", etc.

There are things that have to be sorted out..
Now, we know, Karen didn't go back to his house after a meeting at the pub to get 'a punnet of tomato's. '.....
She was at the pub, this has been established, but it hasn't been established that Cardamone was there also. .. . yet somehow, he knew she was home alone. I think. He may have been prepared, perhaps even willing, to murder her daughter and son as well. We know Karen was the target, but only because , as it turns out, she was indeed the target, but only Cardamone knows who was the primary target for sure , in his fantasy, he may have had his eye on multiple targets. Not known, as yet.
She was, according to the police statement, attacked at her home, and rendered hideously helpless and unable to defend herself or escape. A horrible terrifying experience, and Cardamone would be completely aware of these components of the attack. Physical agony wasn't enough. She had to be terrified and she had to know she couldn't get away. She would already know that no one could hear her.
And it seems obvious , now, that Cardamone's next victim, as far as is known , was most likely going to end up murdered by him. Just as Bailey had no intention of being done for aggravated rape again, so also, Cardamone. His next victim was not going to be permitted to testify, .. any other conclusion defies common sense.
But still , the pantomime of 'early release' and unsupervised parole, generous conditions applying , the persistence of hope over known experience continues.

No surprise that Mr Tehan would make a claim for the trial to be held in Melbourne. .. . There is, probably, good reasons for that request to be met, infuriating as it is, though.
I honestly believe that Wangaratta, Whorouly, Myrtleford etc have as much call on this trial being held in Wangaratta for reasons just as imperative, and just as valid.
Either way, I hope to make it to a few days of the trial, the opening days, preferably.. I don't have a lot of interest in Cardamone's brain dead accomplices, or , god help us, his character references. I hope Mr Tehan isn't successful.
Legal Aid for Cardamone is a matter that sticks in my craw, there is plenty of money rolling around in the family business, and what else is family for? Especially since the family was highly involved and heavily instrumental in the bugger getting early release and bail. They should pay. Use his inheritance.
This is his second high level crime trial. No Legal Aid, and if Legal Aid is granted, no pleading Not guilty. Because he is guilty. Enough tax payers money has been drizzled over Cardamone throughout his lifetime, and there should be a limit.

Certainly there is a great deal of prejudice in this case.. Women all over the north east, and southern NSW are deeply prejudiced against being held captive, tortured, strangled, burnt and run over by a car.. it would be a real work of art to find a woman, any woman who isn't very much against her life ending this way. Coming home from a hard day at the coalface, to be attacked in one's home, and mangled about by a committed killer is hardly the stuff of dreams for your average 49 yr old Australian woman.
In fact, I'd go so far out on a limb and claim that no woman anywhere on earth is unprejudiced on this matter. Most men, too. The inconvenience of living in a community , anywhere on this planet that doesn't hold a deep and permanent prejudice against this kind of death for the women in that community wouldn't last very long. One generation, at most.
Or perhaps Mr Tehan is alluding to some dark prejudice against the Italian community in the Ovens and King Valleys.. ,, then again, perhaps he is referring to Karen's ethnic background and some long held invisible prejudice there.
A big fat fail, Mr Tehan. Try harder.
I haven't noticed anything particularly soft and weak , gentle and forgiving about Melbourne juries over this last decade. .. They don't appear to hold back with the capacity to find a guilty verdict, at all. And particularly , those committing crimes while on, or recently on parole. It is a sticking point with Melbourne juries currently.
