My feeling is it's because they know who is responsible and it's bigger than just BR being involved. Finding out about the ties that bind them I can't shake the feeling that they are being careful in hope the time will come at the right moment for justice to prevail. VR is the biggest suspect to me at the moment.

Thanks Loveandpeace. Makes absolute sense, I guess I'd hoped the three of them would rally together, with permission from LE and continue to appeal to the public, place emotional pressure on the suspect/s and ask them to turn themselves in, as well as continue to keep Karen in the news so the case doesn't go cold - particularly on the anniversary of her disappearance. It's about emotional pressure on BR at this point for me.

Yes VR has been behaving like a suspect ever since his first comments about Karen never coming back, that she is gone for good. That sent chills down my spine when he first said that.

Does anyone have any theories on why none of Karen's birth family like her brother Stephen, aunt Patricia or cousin Lisa may not have come forward on the anniversary of Karen's disappearance to make another public plea in the media. I understand and sympathise that it would be incredibly difficult, but I had hoped there might be a plea to the public to try help with the investigation or place emotional pressure on the perpetrator to come forward. I am interested to know what they are all thinking about who is responsible for Karen's homicide.

I think ACA gave them that opportunity and we saw the response from VR when approached by one of the Producers. If the response from other family members was similar, well that raises more questions IMO.

IMO Karen's family have rallied together speaking when and only when necessary.
I feel any emotional pressure has already been place by Karen's family on the person(s) responsible.
Both Stephen and Patricia were seen to show support for Borce in the initial stages. Are they still ??????

Borce has now been named as a suspect initially by his lawyer after Karen had been found. Now by the police.

Yes Vic's media plea!

Vic Ristevski, Borce’s brother, arrived at the family home this afternoon with some food and said he understood police had also interviewed another man, also from Avondale Heights, following Karen’s disappearance.

“It’s terrible...We are all shocked,” he said.
“They have interviewed somebody else from Avondale Heights.”
But despite what Mr Ristevski said, Victoria Police said just one man had been interviewed after Mrs Ristevski’s disappearance at present.

Leonie Johnson, a Victoria Police spokeswoman, said: “Only one 52-year-old Avondale Heights man has been interviewed in relation to the investigation.”
Police also confirmed that there was no search being undertaken today for Ms Ristevski.

Vic Ristevski also appealed for his sister-in-law to make contact, if she is able to.
“If you are still alive talk to us,” he said.
“If you don’t want to talk to your husband give me a call or my wife.”..........................................

“It’s not like her. I don’t talk to her much but when we get together she is happy.”

They don't talk much so why would he have expected Karen would phone him? Seems she did not have him on speed dial.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/...i/news-story/74fc7cc627029a017ea3957f16733498

But it was just days after Vic's front gate media interview that there was the snap police appeal that involved that very direct question by the media to Borce.

No words from Borce or Sarah. No appeal from Aunt P for Karen to call family. Just an appeal for anyone who knows anything no matter how small, just a suspicion to call crimestoppers.

Seems to me it would have been more fitting had Vic said in his unofficial appeal if you don't want to talk to Boris, please phone your only daughter, she is concerned she is too devastated to speak. Phone your brother, phone your family, phone the police, phone a friend.

But after the ant rants interview's and a bit of a media about the families finances. Vic decided that Karen was gone for good on that fake passport to China or the US and he felt she was not coming back.

Oh yes he has been behaving very suspect from the get goes...

Where will he be lurking next?

I have to wonder why Sarah was too devastated to speak when her mother had been missing for less than 24 hours. If I have read the history correctly.

Hang in there TGY...This case is taking longer to solve than we anticipated.

I feel it's the same reason why Sharon Edward's family stayed quiet during the lead up to John Edwards downfall. The boys asked their father if he'd killed Sharon, he said no. They had to believe their father, what else could they do?Then it was the waiting game.
I'm intrigued waiting to see what took that murderer down.
It could be as simple as loose lips.

It could be just ANOTHER thought bubble HAIRBRAINED venture that Karen went ballistic about. Did she have enough of the brothers' fool shenanigans. Sarah was being groomed educationally (possibly) to take over the ragtrade, I think Karen was happy to step away and just....breath.

A statement of affairs Mr *Ristevski filed with ASIC after Warrant was wound up paints a picture of the company as having little in hard assets but plenty of debt. Stock on hand — clothing including 200 pairs of flares, 58 pairs of short overalls and 72 fur-lined jackets — was valued on the books at $4000 but was expected to fetch just $100, he said.
Meanwhile, debts totalled more than $800,000. This included almost $500,000 owed to Westpac and about $230,000 owed to the Ristevskis.
Korse was owed $40,000, *although Mr Ristevski also claimed that at the same time it owed Warrant more than $60,000.
Mr Ristevski listed total assets of just $115,000, mostly debts he appeared to think were unrecoverable, including $27,000 owed by Mr Stoicos.
It is believed police have not *interviewed Ms Bannister, Mr Norton or Mr Stoicos, who all *declined to comment to The Weekend Australian.

Trust me I'm hangin' tiddies.

"Perform your act" sounds like a death defying leap on a high wire.....NUDE!
:floorlaugh:

Karen is any one of us. A mother, wife, sister, a struggler. Mrs suburbia like you and me and her death is NOT going to be swept under anyone's filthy carpet.
I want justice for this woman.

Someone earlier asked if Vasko had a wife... yep!

Well, I bet Borce is wishing he said that it was Karen who drove off in her car that morning. Wouldn't that be simpler because, it appears the blurry images of her vehicles can't determine who exactly was in the car.
He really muffed that easy exit.

A resident who lives near the Ristevski family's house in Avondale Heights recently gave the footage to police, reported the Herald Sun.

Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski (pictured) has been missing since June 29

The footage is said to show a car resembling the one owned by Ms Ristevski, who has been missing since June 29.
Although analysis of the footage reveals it may be too blurry to make out the driver or if there is another person in the car, police may be able to use video-enhancing technology to zoom in on the driver and determine who it was.
Ms Ristevski's husband Borce claims she left the family home to 'clear her head' after the couple had been arguing about money.

Then he would to have had to explain how the car got back there though and what happened after that. He made a few critical mistakes that day, which makes me think he was panicking at that point, although I personally think the murder was premeditated. JMO

Who is this Mr Stoicos?

Mark Philippoussis' manager at the time. He apparently owed Warrant money, not the other way round.

BBM
..... which include failed plans to sell pecan nuts to China and to sell a line of clothing using the name of former tennis star Mark Philippoussis.
The Weekend Australian has learnt Warrant was also the vehicle through which Mr Ristevski explored setting up a clothing line using Philippoussis’s name. However, it is believed the tennis player’s then manager, Peter Stoicos, backed out of the deal.
Mr Ristevski listed total assets of just $115,000, mostly debts he appeared to think were unrecoverable, including $27,000 owed by Mr Stoicos.

Does anyone know who the "notorious Melbourne loan shark" might be?

"Bella Bleu closed in February last year and caveats had been placed on the Ristevski’s Avondale Height’s home by lenders after Mr Ristevski resorted to borrowing cash from a notorious Melbourne loan shark on at least two occasions."

No idea who the "notorious Melbourne loan shark" is/was but I imagine a great place to track one down would be Crown Casino

I'm guessing BR and VR squandered the inheritance Karen received from her father on their hairbrained ventures. Of course you'd go ballistic. MOO

Can't wait for that run of yours TGY!

Much confusion surrounding the inheritance.

Mrs Ristevski and her brother, who has asked not to be identified, were beneficiaries of her father’s will, after he died in December 2014, leaving the pair as the only people to benefit from the estate.
An application for the will was approved by the Victorian Supreme Court in May last year, but it is not clear when Mrs Ristevski received her share. Sources close to the family believe proceeds were distributed early this year but lawyer George James Bouhalis, who has long acted for Mrs Ristevski and her husband Borce, said the money was paid before the end of 2015.

Who do you believe the source close to the family or the long time family lawyer?

Anyone remember an early article which told when Karen first started her business at a young age and what age did they meet and marry?

Did BR & VR have any prior connections in the ragtrade before meeting Karen or did they both highjack the gravy train.

I believe the tangled web of business ventures could've slowed this case and there's so much the police have to sift through and interviews. Our cops could be making enquiries overseas as well.

Karen Ristevski was buried in Williamstown, understood to be the same suburb where her husband Borce proposed to her in the 1980s

Mourners were told of her long relationship with Mr Ristevski - having met at a party age 16, married (late 80's), had a daughter Sarah (1996) and ran a business together (since when? :dunno:)

I wouldn't characterise Karen as an unwilling participant of the men's business practices. It appears she was fully invested in Bella Bleu, it was Borce off driving an Uber while Karen was in local papers, donating to a high profile charity and traveling oversea very regularly.

They've been hustling as a couple for decades, what went wrong?

Associates seemed to have a terrible 2013, as did the Ristevski's, including Vasko. Did the inheritance buy a little time?
