Mr Ristevski has previously said he drove the car around the Calder Park area to fix his wife’s faulty fuel gauge, which claimed would usually correct itself when driven across a bump in the road.

This wording 'would usually correct itself' makes it sound he's fixed it like this before.

A close relative from Ms Ristevski’s side of the family yesterday confirmed to news.com.au that Ms Ristevski did indeed have a faulty fuel gauge and that it had been broken for months before her disappearance.

The relative said family members were annoyed at the antics of Mr Cefala and Mr Rickard but acknowledged the desire of Ms Ristevski’s stepson to see justice done.
“There might be some truth to a small part of what they’ve been saying but some is just bulls**t,” the relative said.
“I wish they would just stop saying all these awful things. I understand Anthony (Rickard’s) desire to see an arrest but I’m also terrified that they will mess up the investigation.
“We have placed our full faith in detectives who have been working so hard on this and we’re confident the right person will be arrested.”

This is just getting weirder.

So does that mean fuel gauge was broken for months...not years as the mechanic remembered or was reminded.

When they pulled the car over at the Sprott exit, they found the mannequin and a 28-year-old male driver from Abbotsford who couldn't offer an excuse for driving in the high-occupancy-vehicle lane.

The Eastern Highway in Melbourne was home to the first carpool lane, which opened in 1992. In an effort to combat congestion and improve traffic flow.

Cop fury over shocking new claims about Karen Ristevski murder

Mr Cefala said it was his understanding Ms Ristevski was strangled and then placed in the boot of her black Mercedes SLK coupe and driven to Mt Macedon. Police have so far not released her cause of death.

The two men have also made the bizarre claim that a mannequin was placed in the car’s front passenger seat during the alleged transportation of the victim’s body.
When pressed to explain how they were privy to that information, Mr Cefala claimed “we do have the evidence” but did not provide proof.
On Friday he told news.com.au in a text message that the “evidence” had “already been provided to the cops two weeks ago”. There is no suggestion either Mr Cefala or Mr Rickard had any involvement in Ms Ristevski’s death.

What the??? :scared:

This case is getting more and more bizarre! Sounds like ar was true to his word and did provide information to the police. I do hope LE are working double time to wrap this one up. Hopefully the new information about the mannequin is actually provable and real and leads to swift advancement and arrest (s) so Karen can rest in peace and her family have resolution.

So perhaps AR knows that there were two people in the car (excluding the boot) and with this knowledge he can see two figures in the video. But this doesn't fit his contention that BR operated alone. So he is getting in preemptively by alleging that there was a mannequin in the front seat.

Nope, first I've heard of it!

The article says Cefala and Rickard have been in direct contact with news.com.au, including by text. Possibly News asked the police to comment, and was told, "We'll be shutting this guy down," or similar.

Edit: However, news.com.au understands Mr Cefala was called to a Melbourne police station late Friday morning and confronted over allegedly spreading disinformation about the case.http://www.news.com.au/national/cop...r/news-story/d35d1f72e582a4293d96b60b40b04ec4

This all must be so awful to those that genuinely cared about Karen [emoji22]
I am glad to hear the fuel gauge problem has been confirmed by someone other than BR.

Yes Oona a confirmed dodgy fuel gauge .... maybe. Still sus, imo ... that he decided to try and fix it on that day at that time.
Phone off for 2 hours and I assume he still cannot explain 100 minutes of his day.

Whether the car had a faulty fuel gauge or not BR story is total BS. He will be arrested and found guilty of murder.

Maybe AR's imagination? He seems to be estranged from the family so I doubt he is receiving any information from any reliable source. IMO
