Ravenhall Correctional Centre opened up 6 weeks ago next door to the Melbourne Metropolitan Remand Centre and is currently dedicating ~2 out of 5 communites within to the holding of Remand Prisoners. I may have spent last 2 yrs on the prison construction project... weeks after Karen went missing I selected his cell and unofficially dedicated it to him. Welcome home Boris

I bloodywell hope so. It's nice weather for a celebratory nudie run now.

He'd deserve to be hauled away just before Christmas. Porridge for BR!

Guys? Wouldn't that be a great Christmas present for us!

And the wish comes true “amen to that”

I will be very interested in the story that Borce may now produce to explain his innocence.

Seems AR is very quiet.

My opinion.

Yes what is that about....(although I know we have worked that out) can’t wait for when he does start talking again.. must be killing him to shut up. Particularly now!!!

I would be surprised if Karen had any Superannuation. Or very much, at all. Perhaps a little from previous jobs.
Superannuation is only required for employees, not for owners or partners or directors.
With their ongoing financial situation(s), I'd guess that personal Superannuation would be the last thing on their minds to pay into.
I think Borce was always looking for the quick bonanza that would take care of him forever.
Just my take on things.

Yes and even if she did work for another employer. Compulsory Superannuation was not introduced until 1992 from memory. imo

It is unclear whether police are considering taking action against anyone else.
The Herald Sun understands that investigators had only one main suspect and relatives said they were assured earlier this year there was only one person in police sights.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty would not comment on whether the case remained open, including whether police were considering charging anyone else in connection to Mrs Ristevski’s death.
“As the matter is now before the courts, we will not be commenting on the matter,” Ms Batty said.

Sorry butI have managed to break the link and as it was paywalled can no longer access it.
The headline is "Jail security high for Borce Ristevski." Herald Sun. Apologies if already posted and I'm currently having great difficulty with my keyboard!!!

His next court appearance is not until April next year, and matters could potentially stretch into 2019.

Bit annoying that he is in the highest security section, for his protection. Nobody was there to give Karen that kind of protection.
I guess that is what happens when you hire a top criminal lawyer. :notgood:
Jail is a scary place, hey Borce? Probably nearly as scary as the murderous situation that Karen found herself in.

MURDER accused Borce Ristevski is expected to be placed under the most rigorous scrutiny the prison system can offer as he awaits trial.

Mr Ristevski is currently in a high security section of the corrections system after he was charged with the murder of his wife Karen on Wednesday morning.

It is believed he will be in a largely isolated regimen with limited “run-out” times spent away from his cell.

I just wonder what Vr has in his mind now?

Anyone else surprised he hasn't just caved in at this point and admitted guilt now that they have charged him. He just does not want to implicate himself does he? He's happy enough for authorities to put it all together and potentially charge others as accessories. He ain't taking "all" the wrap for this one it seems. If he goes down , he wants everyone else involved to go down with him it seems.

The man has an ego. When that is understood. He sees it different to us.

All the work was done on the financials over the year, yet he says i have no money problems.

Borce will be nice and warm in those holding cells below the Magistrates Courts, especially with the recent heatwave in Melbourne. :steamed:

Murder accused Borce Ristevski to be placed under high security in jail

Prosecutor Andrew Tinney QC asked for 12 weeks to serve a brief of evidence on Mr Ristevski's lawyers — a fortnight longer than usual "because of the nature of the investigation and the ongoing work that needs to be done".

Mr Stary said he understood the logistical reality of needing extra time, but argued the investigation had already run for more than a year.

Further work to do. Does seem the case might be still open ..imo.

It is understood there was no dramatic breakthrough, no “gotcha’’ moment that caused Mr Ristevksi to be taken into custody. Rather, having sent all the evidence they’d gathered to the Office of Public Prosecutions, police were told they had enough to go to trial.

The family at the centre of this ordeal is bitterly divided. Borce and Karen’s daughter Sarah is fervent in her belief that her dad is innocent. The same view is held by Borce’s brother Vasko.

Karen’s aunt Patricia Grey believes it’s more likely that police have the right man. She yesterday spoke of her relief at learning that Mr Ristevski was behind bars, charged with the murder of her niece. “I just didn’t want anyone to give up or to think that we had given up,’’ she told The Australian. “It’s just incredible relief.”
Karen’s brother Steve Williams also believes Mr Ristevski may be responsible for her murder. Nine months ago, he stood as a pallbearer next to him, shouldering his sister’s coffin. Yesterday he welcomed the arrest over her murder, saying he had been waiting *patiently for this day.

His lawyer Rob Stary indicated his client would be pleading not guilty. He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody to reappear on April 18.
Prosecutors have been granted extra time to prepare their case because of the complex nature of the investigation, according to the Herald Sun.

Will he be next to the bourke st head case?

Be quiet, Mr Stary. Did you ever think it might have helped if your client had actually assisted the police, not clammed up??

Oh, that's right. They are supposed to work it all out in record time. Get their i's dotted, their t's crossed, with no assistance from the last person to see Karen ... or his brother ... or from Karen's much loved daughter.

.

So can I ask someone with more idea that I.
Assuming that the house did have a mortgage at the time of Karen's murder.
Who was responsible to keep paying it?
The husband or the daughter if she was the one that was going to fully benefit?

Because from what has been reported Borce was renting the house out to free up some $$$.

So if there is still a mortgage we could see it for sale real soon.

Because she has access to the first class lounge, does not mean that she has a first class ticket. I can get that on my frequent flyer points.

Sorry had to catch up on this all but it does seem like a recurring thing... all their trips have been in business and beyond. Where is this money coming from? All the designers, all the first class tickets. I believe SG airlines first suites are $14k and beyond just to Europe. Not sure it’s odd.
