I think Borce's defence is going to rest on the possibility of this ... likely what Borce was telling the 10 people who were crying as though they were at a wake when Aunt P first arrived at the house.

Missing Melbourne mother Karen Ristevski’s husband has told family members his wife was abducted by a stranger.
The Herald Sun reports Borce Ristevski has told family members he thinks an evil stranger is behind his wife’s disappearance from Avondale Heights on June 29.

I don't think the defence will touch on the possibility of Borce committing manslaughter at all, unless Borce finally decides that it is the only way out of a murder conviction.

All the defence needs to do is create reasonable doubt, and try to negate the evidence that the prosecution has. We will likely hear yet another reason why Karen's car was driving out near Mt Macedon, perhaps the introduction of Borce popping by to see Ant and then continuing his drive to 'think' or get over the morning argument.

I am curious if Borce was snapped moving his VW that morning.

Sarah left at 8:15am. When she returned that evening she drove into the garage and parked the car next to her mothers as she always did.

It is alleged Borce incapacitated or killed Karen in the home and placed her in the merc that was concealed in the garage away from prying eyes. His VW was parked outside.
I am assuming his car was parked behind Karen's car in the drive given Sarah had left earlier that morning.

Remember MSM interviewed Vasko and he said Karen had gone overseas on a fake passport and CR was seen entering into the gate amoung others.
Its behind a paywall but we spoke about Vasko holding a bag of nibbles and a packet of Winfield. I recall some pizzas were delivered at the time too.

If Karen did have a set of Borce's keys on her keyring, perhaps it was because she had to move his car out of the way when she wanted to get her car out.

I am so interested to know what is on all the CCTV that they have.
Remember there was even other CCTV showing Karen's car driving around some local roads? (At least, I think I remember that ... unless we were just speculating at the time.) I can't recall exactly which roads they were, but we were discussing them much, much earlier in the threads, and tracing them on Google maps.

However, because of their blood ties to the defendant, the siblings are not banned from talking to each other or their father.

Why did the missing person squad charge him? What with?
For saying he was not going to give evidence?
Can you be charged for saying you won't or do you have to not front up before you can be charged? He was in custody when the trial commenced.

According to this article there is a series of cctv showing the car travelling through Avondale Heights up the Calder Freeway toward Loch Road.
It also says that the bulk of the circumstantial evidence lies with the cctv footage.

Oh yeah. That is when Vasko's wife visited and said Borce must be upset because his eyes were red.
Vasko let the media know he had asked Borce about the ant rumours.
Borce replied Karen is not here to defend herself.

It has also been reported, the missing mother's husband told family members his wife was abducted by a stranger, murdered and “discarded like a piece of rubbish".

So he knew how Karen was dumped, before she was found dumped. And no wonder they were all crying like a wake.

I haven't found any reporting, of this result.

I figured, Ant was maybe 'locked up' till then, due to past warrants etc, not to cause problems at Committal Hearing, as result of this, was due the day before: perhaps just a coincidence!

I meant, the problems Ant may have caused OUTSIDE court, during BR's hearing: with his facebook rants, friends, distractions, media etc: 2 weeks is a long time to behave!

There has always been something about the content and timing of ant and friends facebook rants, and media interviews that leave me scratching my head.

At a hearing in May, Magistrate Suzanne Cameron told the court that Sarah would need advice in relation to her rights in giving evidence about her father.

Mr Boas said Ms Cameron was referring to a provision that allowed the children of defendants to refuse to testify against their parents, in the same way a husband or wife cannot be compelled to give evidence against their spouse........................

"So she needs to be advised that she has the right before she is called to testify. If the judge makes the decision that her evidence is needed, compels her to give evidence and she refuses, she can be charged with contempt of court.

"Then it becomes quite a serious matter that can see a person jailed for anywhere from three months to a year.

"It really depends just how crucial Sarah's evidence is to the prosecution case and we don't know that yet."

Ms Cameron has also stated that Rickard needs advice about incriminating himself in relation to his drug use before he is cross-examined.

Sarah has given evidence about her father. Ant arrested the day before the hearing and held in custody - drugs found in his room.
If the judge had made the decision ants evidence was needed wouldn't he have been escorted to the hearing, at the time he was required and compelled to give evidence?

sorry, I cant find who to attribute this to.. but thanks for it, I have been collapsed with disbelieving laughter since I read it . The Freudian Slip could not be better demonstrated.

And having said this to the broken hearted family members, Borce and then Sarah proceed to reject police help in finding the person who did it..

Borce's stupidity is of a very special kind, it's not unique, but it is, in it's particular way, quite interesting, from a petri dish point of view.

He , himself is totally unaware, but I think Sarah, and perhaps Vlasko are cognizant of Borce's particular idiocy, and their actions and words may be slanted in that way to try and protect Borce from himself . I am prepared to grant them this leeway. No more than that, though. Ant , on the other hand , wants the world to know how cray cray his dad is.

oh So so… so so perceptive... Ant's timing has been exquisite so far, and that tells me that he has one hell of an agenda, decades long . He's playing out an old vendetta, Karen's murder is the culmination of it, maybe....

It is remarkable how he manages to get a gang going with the rants, as well.. he is a persuasive kind of guy!.. nuts, but persuasive.

The question for me is. Why would he bother contacting the journo and telling them he did not want to give evidence and that he was scared? Whilst a dozen or so police surrounded the house. Knowing that info would end up in the media, pronto.
It would have been more sensible to be ridding his room of the drug evidence.
I guess it sent a message to someone on the eve of the trial.
I was surprised that Sarah was not asked about her father's, mother's and her relationship with her half brother whilst she was on the stand.
That question must have been asked when initial statements were being given by her and Borce, surely.

A real possibility. Vasko is still around and available to keep Ant under control. imo
