Uber trip on day of disappearance

Mr Ristevski claims he drove his wife’s 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK coupe hours after she went missing because he believed it needed fuel.

But Mr Fisher told the court Mr Ristevski filled the tank the night before and was “well aware of the fuel level”.

Seems Borce is not such a good story teller

GO MR FISHER!

BBM^^^^^^ I can't believe he did that???? Surely he must've known it would come back to bite him on the proverbial. Does he think people are stupid? How easy would it be to disprove she was at the shop. Take the police less than 5 minutes.

How Sarah must hate him.

Sarah may have sided with her dad, mum's shop was cramping Sarah's lifestyle choices and maybe good ole Borce was telling Sarah how he could fix the situation. And while we have heard that Karen and Sarah were on good terms - we don't know that for a fact. Seriously how do we explain the staunch allied relationship she has put forward for her father.

“Police allege she was murdered at the pair’s home before her body was moved.”

At last! So THAT’S how they think it played out.

Uber trip on day of disappearance

Karen was moved through the internal garage access, into the boot of the Merc and driven away.
MOO
That’s what I’ve always believed.

Borce Ristevski 'murdered wife at home', court hears

The court heard today Mr Ristevski allegedly turned his phone off after passing the Calder Raceway while driving his wife's corpse to Macedon Regional Park.

The prosecution said the phone came back on as Mr Ristevski allegedly passed Keillor Park on his way home.

He is alleged to have been driving Ms Ristevski’s Mercedes, which was captured on CCTV.

Mr Ristevski is alleged to have provided numerous inconsistent accounts to police and deliberately excluded crucial information to distance himself from the crime.

Mr Ristevski said he and his wife argued in home’s study and upstairs the morning she went missing before she left the home on foot with her handbag, a purse and the $850 he had given her to pay a credit card bill.

But the prosecution claims no shoes were found with Ms Ristevski’s
remains and none were identified as missing from her wardrobe.

We've always wondered what happened to the handbag, haven't we?

Wonder if the $850 ever existed, and if it did, I'll bet I know whose pocket it ended up in. QUOTE="drsleuth, post: 14216291, member: 82524"]Borce Ristevski 'murdered wife at home', court hears

Ristevski withheld evidence he drove wife's car on the day she vanished: court

Outlining the case against the 54-year-old, prosecutor Matt Fisher said police believed Mr Ristevski either killed or incapacitated his wife between 8.58am and 10.43am on the day she went missing during an argument over the precarious financial situation of their clothing business.

Police believed he drove her remains in her black Mercedes-Benz to Mount Macedon, 80 kilometres away.

The couple's clothing business, Bella Bleu, recorded losses of $326,000 between 2012 and 2016, the court heard, and the Ristevskis had a credit card debt of more than $80,000, on top of a $715,000 mortgage and other loans.

Their financial situation when Ms Ristevski went missing was "very serious", Mr Fisher said.

Ristevski withheld evidence he drove wife's car on the day she vanished: court

Mr Ristevski's mobile phone was deliberately deactivated at 11.19am along the freeway, the court heard, and his wife's phone last pinged a tower at 11.40am, near Gisborne, when it was either turned off, switched to airplane mode or the battery failed.

Mr Ristevski told police he initially didn't tell them he drove his wife's car on the day she went missing because he didn't believe the detail was significant.

He initially reported he spent the morning at home after his wife left, until he went out that afternoon to work as an Uber driver.

He also didn't tell daughter Sarah during the day that he couldn't reach her mother, and didn't report her disappearance to his parents that night when he and Sarah had dinner with them.

Sarah Ristevski saw her parents at home before she left for work that morning, The court heard.

Mr Fisher said Mr Ristevski didn't call his wife's phone for almost 27 hours, from when he was at his parents' home until after 10pm the following day.

Witness Sarah Culhane on Monday told the court she was a customer at Bella Bleu and that during the first half of June 2016 she overheard Ms Ristevski in an angry phone conversation.

She said afterwards Ms Ristevski told her "my husband pisses me off".

Mr Fisher said Mr Ristevski told police he and his wife argued and disagreed over small things, but no more than any other couple.
