Is there more movement in the nest?
Mr Ristevski will return to court in April.

Our thoughts are with you Stephen. Justice for Karen.
Ms Ristevski's brother Stephen Williams said the development had left him emotional after "a long 18 months".

On April 18th, tgy. In exactly two weeks. Unless something has changed.
His lawyer Rob Stary indicated his client would be pleading not guilty. He made no application for bail and was remanded in custody to reappear on April 18.

SA I looked everywhere. Thank you it goes straight into the diary.
So he’s going to fight the charges huh? This’ll be interesting to see how and why he murdered Karen.
The bogged vehicle, the debts, the handbag, phone and who else has blood on their hands or did he act solely alone.
At least another knew but will he say anything.

I doubt we'll learn much at this appearance, it's a Committal Mention. A bit to go before the Trial.

Ok then we’ll hear the trial date after this mention.

Hopefully, sometimes there are a few mentions before we get to trial. I hope it doesn't go on too long, I hate that. :gaah:
13 December 2017 - this video includes the first public plea. Yes the one we couldnt find.
1) Why would LE wait one whole month before arresting when they had sufficient evidence and I wonder if Sarah was present.
2) Is it usually the Missing Persons Squad that arrest as I thought it would be in the Homicide Squad.
Borce Ristevski has been charged with one count of murder. The 53-year-old was arrested at 7.20am today by the Missing Persons Squad.
It is understood police were advised at least a month ago there was sufficient evidence to charge.

Victoria Police homicide squad gets new chief
Nov 19, 2017
The Victorian Missing Persons Squad and their Homicide Squad are closely linked, but not actually the same squad.
In November last year the head of the missing persons squad became the head of the homicide squad. We posted about it, at the time.
They are apparently undergoing an extreme staff shortage at the moment.
Have been wondering what will happen at the hearing and how much we will learn. I gather from this link we will hear what the evidence is against BR and whether the magistrate determines there is enough evidence to proceed to a trial. Witnesses can also be called at this stage.

Well, if we dont get a subscription to the Herald Sun, we are not likely to hear much at all.
They have tightened up all of their articles, and dont even allow one free premium article per day, like The Australian does. :shame:
