The article posted earlier noting the property was for sale was dated in March 2020, noting an auction to take place on April 4, 2020. Just wondering if it did in fact sell at auction, but the 'settlement' hasn't gone through yet (article I posted above notes it can take 6 weeks?)?:

Karen Ristevski killing: Avondale Heights house on the market

11 Mar 2020

The Avondale Heights house where Karen Ristevski was killed hit the market in the same week laws were changed to ensure Victorian buyers aren’t left in the dark about homes’ grisly pasts.
....
Mr Karp said their daughter, Sarah, would be the beneficiary of the sale of the five-bedroom house, which has a $1.2-$1.3 million price guide for its scheduled April 4 auction.

Unless they opted for a virtual auction it just might be on the backburner until COVID restrictions are lifted

Loathed wife killer Borce Ristevski is mysteriously moved out of high-security prison | Daily Mail Online

Wife killer Borce Ristevski has been moved out of a high-security prison to a correctional centre housing corrupt cops and sex offenders.

Thanks for this update Morrisa. Doesn’t seem like terribly hard time for Borce. Our Australian sentences are baffling to me in their leniency and disregard of community feeling. This one in particular makes me so furious.

errgh.... .. well... it certainly isn't because of some health issue, there is bugger all specialist care in Ararat... they'd have to bring him by ambulance back into Ballarat, or scream down the freeway to Melbourne.. maybe he has just been a very good quiet bloke, picking up his cigarette stubs, stacking his plates right at the dinner table, running a prison style Uber business by delivering folks laundry...

It's still prison and it gets mighty bleak up there at Ararat in the winter, and hellish in summer. Our boy Borce won't be using the swimming pool, or the hockey field, or the indoor gym. That isnt his style.

Having ex cops as neighbors wouldn't be that pleasant, either. Borce might get more mileage out of some of the sex offenders, though.

He would have to keep his mouth ultra shut.

Best of the season to all.

Anyone watching 60 Minutes tonight? Sarah Ristevski is on.

At the moment they are showing (her) childhood videos of their happy family.

Karen was 'happy', knowing that Sarah was doing well, and Karen was enjoying working in the fashion business.

On the morning that Karen disappeared, Sarah was there, Karen was on her iPad looking through some styles and asked Sarah what colour she liked. Sarah thinks she said she liked the blue.

When Sarah got home, it was weird that Karen wasn't there. Dad said she had gone for a walk. Sarah was told that they had an argument about the store's sales. Dad seemed worried.

Sarah didn't really sleep that night. She was worried. It was raining, where was her mother?

You might have been away, not sure.

It was back in Feb 2020

Sarah Ristevski will claim that police 'threatened to implicate her in her mother's death' | Daily Mail Online

When I watched it again, I realised it was an old segment. Certainly, it was done before poor old Borcey got an extra petty four years added onto his sentence due to unrelenting public opinion relayed to the DPP, and for the letters I wrote, I did expect more than four years, but there it is, you have to cop this kind of nonsense all the time if you are a woman in Australia, living under a pandemic of violence. I recall that little Sarah was highly offended at Dad being strung about with 4 more years.

And oddly, she was the only one who was!... No one else, including Antony ever objected, and the brother, Vassily?.. something like that, never said a dickey bird about it, Antony being unable to keep quiet, though, he was chuffed about it.

That bit, where Sarah relays her convo with Mum, in the study, looking thru dress patterns, Dad on the couch , watching television, ( because Borce was unemployable in any section of the community and scrabbled around trying to be an Uber driver, and pass himself off as a horse expert, more a horses arse , really ) .... and oo. I think... yes, I said ...ooo. I prefer the blue..

Well.. that just has the clang of fiction to me, and she looks so dodgy when she says it. As for asking Borce if straight up, did he do it. .. .. .. I doubt that to the nth degree. She knew.

It takes a peculiar and particular kind of character to contract for, and be paid a six figure sum, which was probably only about $100,000.00.... or even $1000.00 , which could be taken as six figures by some people... Sarah didn't strike me as someone up with arithmetic.. . as I say, to be paid money to talk about your murdered mother, murdered by your father, for relaying to the general public in the city you live in.

It just strikes me as someone who would do anything.... anything, for any money, money to continue the fantasy of being a certain class of person, which to her horror, she only found out , was utterly dependent on her mother being alive and working. Since Karen's death, every thing went to hell and back to the bank, the house, the cars, the spending money, the trips overseas, all that stuff, all gone. ...

Even the amount paid to her would have , at a rough guess , lasted about 5 months tops.

The psychologists remarks are interesting. That Borce has given them an enemy ... the police. So Sarah feels it is us against them.
She is going to be one messed up person for quite a while, maybe forever.
I believe that the police are correct, though... they are Sarah's enemy and Sarah has just enough smarts to work that out and she knows why they are the enemy, for sure.

WHAT? She’s going for another 6 figure sum?! Oh for the love of Pete!
Just get a job little piggy and stop making money from your mothers horrendous murder from your pathetic lying father.

urghhh just go away.

I was never really one to think that Sarah was complicit (in the death of her mother). But if I had seen that interview back in Feb, my thoughts on that might have changed.
There are a number of things that don't sit well with me now.
Borce never said he was sorry to her.
Sarah has no anger against anyone who might have murdered (or manslaughtered) her mother. She "doesn't want to think about it".
After weeks she started wondering what could have happened to her mother.

I think Sarah has developed a strategy to be able to cope with her mother’s death and that her father killed her mother. It seems that a large part of her strategy is avoidance and being able to validate or explain in some way her father’s actions. Sarah was a young woman when this happened and an only child. In my opinion her coping strategy has left her with a part of her family, her security in tact. It’s not palatable to us, but I can kind of see why she has taken this path.
MOO

Killer husband Borce Ristevski to be stripped of control over wife Karen’s grave
Killer husband Borce Ristevski will lose control over one thing to do with his wife, Karen, since her death after her family raised concerns.

Karen Ristevski will be spared from having her killer husband buried beside her under new laws set to be introduced by the state government.

After concerns were raised by Ms Ristevski’s family, the state government is set to introduce changes to the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act to stop killers and serious criminals from being able to make decisions about their victim’s graves or memorials.

Ms Ristevski’s family have been fighting to regain control of her final resting place and stop her husband from being buried next to her in the vacant plot.
Ms Ristevski’s relatives are furious about the bizarre “his and hers” plaque, which is featured on the 47-year-old’s grave at Victoria’s Williamstown Cemetery.

They also want to replace the details on her headstone, including the date of her death which is listed as February 20, 2017 — the day hikers stumbled across her remains in bushland on Mount Macedon — rather than June 29, 2016, the day she was last seen and likely died.

The inscription also omits the fact that she was also a sister to Stephen Williams, her only sibling, and describes her as a “Devoted Wife, Mother and Friend”.

“You touched our lives with your love, laughter, warmth and grace. Your memory will be eternal. Dearly loved, never forgotten and forever in our hearts,” it also reads.
