I don't think he necessarily initiated this story - it is the first statement and a "no comment" when they went to his house.

The "no comment' was probably said as he passed his Police statement to the reporters - The Australian stated that they had seen his statement - I'm pretty sure the Police didn't give it to them, this only leaves one other copy to be sighted :thinking:

Mr Rickard described in the police statement a long-running “situation”, which he claimed *developed later between him and Mrs Ristevski.


He would not comment further on this when approached at his home in Melbourne’s semi-rural Diggers Rest yesterday. But he confirmed he would make a more detailed statement to the police within a month.

Though they talk up what they have, i have noticed that as time goes on, even though

I've also wondered if Karen was the sick love interest of the step-son and he was getting more and more out of control. Did Karen threaten to reveal all to his father?

And I am leaning towards this theory aswell, all in his mind. The mother he never had ect scenario.

I saw it.

All the usual info we know and innuendo from AR and I noticed the report said AR contacted the media. The interesting thing was said that the detectives have been in and out of the home all day. The reporter bailed up the detective who was extremely careful with his wording and said something to the effect they've come up to a brick wall. (Nah).

The reporter called the intercom on the gate but got no answer.

IMO Someone is going down soon, my bet it's going to be Borce.

You know what as a mother of young adult children along with being a step parent, I'm becoming more confused by the day. My step son joined the family when he was 14 nearly 15, and is now a 28 year old delightful young man. If it is true what sort of women would contemplate a relationship with a minor not to mention a step son...WHY?? I wonder if KR had dalliances with other young men? How does (what appears) an intelligent family go along with this fiasco for so long? Why not cracks in the armour earlier?

It's a possibility - I have little doubt they saw his copy and didn't get anything from the policy officially or otherwise. But AR could have emailed it to someone who has shared it with the media. Who knows what he does when he is inebriated, sends it and then regrets it and says "no comment"?

The Where is Karen Ristevski page post today - "Keeping the focus on Karen today" in response. The reality is if getting Karen's name and face out there is a priority then the family are going to have to keep pushing and talking about Karen in the media. There are no calls on that page to get more people sharing stuff, it is stagnating at 200ish likes, few more than Karen's friends and it seems like a lot of people there are looky loos like us so it hasn't even got around their social circles. Is the page creator conflicted about running the page, perhaps doing it without Borce and Sarah's endorsement but feeling like it is a necessity because of the bad press?

In looking over this again today i have 2 scenarios to consider.

A. Karen abducted on walking trail.
B. Incident/Accident @ home due to argument. Three family members present?

The 4th party arrives removes body.

Thats were my theory stops on either AB without CCTV.

For most mature women it would not cross their mind but there is always those few who thrive on any male attention and the validation and feeling powerful is the driving force.

I just don't get Ar agenda. He could have laid low and said nothing and no one would know who he was or his connection to Karen, he is the only one that has put himself in the limelight. He is disgruntled obviously with his father and rips through him via sm but maintains he doesn't think he has anything to do with her disappearance. I lean between thinking he is the poor tragic son or that he is a sociopath that is basking in his 5 minutes of fame ?

The detective seemed quite straight forward....the reporter asked bim what he was doing at Borce's house, to which the reporter answered ..... Certainly, we are here assisting the family with their enquires to help find Karen.

No evidence collection teams.... seemed pretty rountinue visit to me.

Interestingly charlie Bezzina thinks it was a tactic. ........ Anthony Rickard went on the attack (media wise) as a form of defence, knowing they'd be looking at him.

Ahh that is interesting! I will be super surprised if it is Borce even though that's the statistical likelihood at this stage. I wish when they said he contacted the media they'd just detail how and when.

Without knowing him, the story he puts forth is plausible enough, horrible things happen like that in families. What gets me is the posting on the 29th, it picked up in intensity and theme. But it is such a stupid move, unless he is trying to hide in plain sight but that is not enough to save you if they have actual evidence. He does rip into Borce but then also say kinder things, same with Karen it seems.
