In an early public statement Borce said,
"On the Wednesday morning, um, she just went upstairs, um, and then came downstairs and just went out through the garage, ahh, she might have just walked down the street or just to clear her head."
But then, according to The Australian, he has also said that "she headed in the direction of the Maribyrnong River".
Is the river walking track accessible from that vacant block beside their house? To me walking down suburban streets and along riverside walking tracks are different.

You can conveniently reach the river by turning in either direction along Oakley Drive. Either through the vacant block or (apparently from the map) via Peerless Court and an easement. "In the direction of the Maribyrnong River" doesn't mean much. The river winds about. If you go far enough, it's in every direction except north.

That is a good observation. Also someone driving for Uber for a living might get to know all sorts of potential places and how private they might be for disposing of a body.

The Ristevski family last week made unofficial complaints to The Australian about a series of revelations about their business history, but would not speak on the record.

The Australian has never claimed the family were on the verge of losing their home, or that the family-owned Bella Bleu Broadmeadows store closed two weeks before Ms Ristevski went missing — two issues with which Mr Ristevski took umbrage. What was revealed is that the couple were involved in a series of troubled business ventures.

Before Warrant Brands, Mr Ristevski ran the similarly named clothing company Warrant, which closed in September 2012 after legal action by Ms Ristevski’s former best friend, lawyer Natalie Bannister, and Ms Bannister’s then partner, art dealer Mark Norton. The lawsuit came after Warrant borrowed $100,000 from Korse International, a company Mr Ristevski helped form with Ms Bannister and Mr Norton as part of a plan to sell nuts to China.

On a completely different note, maybe the family are not concerned because they secretly have been contacted by Karen. I don't think this is likely though.:fishy::fishy:It is all too fishy.

There is a lane beside their house on the other side of the vacant block, between their house and the house next door. I'm not sure if it would lead straight to a walking track. From the photo you posted, it would seem that she would need to walk on the grass.

BR makes unofficial complaints to The Australian about what they've written and published in relation to the Ristevski's business history. Then he gives an interview to the HS to make it clear that they don't have any "financial issues" and that she wouldn't have done a "runner" due to their finances.

I would think that what anyone does or does not publish about the state of their finances would pale in comparison to the fact his wife has been missing for two months, that he was the last to see her before she disappeared, and that he is most likely a POI in her disappearance.

In the scheme of things, who would really care about their business and financial reputation when such a tragedy has befallen you and your daughter?

Sounds as if the MPAN would like the media/public to back off, away from the family. Seems to be the gist of the mentions by them.

Off-topic: Interesting turn of events in the case of a Qld woman missing since 2001...remains found in her backyard 15 years later! I'm sure today's police on this case are being more rigorous and still hoping for a better end to KR's story than that of Patrica Riggs:

I'm beginning to suspect that this has gone the way of Herman Rockefeller. Vasko Ristevski claims that Karen travelled every month to the US and Hong Kong for 10 years. That is a lot of travelling. Maybe she was doing escorting or maybe she was the mistress of one or more men. Maybe she was on the swingers circuit- not just local but overseas. Anthony Rickard, on his facebook, alluded to this.

I disagree that Karen has used a fake passport to ride off into the sunset.

I'm thinking, along the Herman Rockefeller lines, that perhaps she was on the swingers circuit or was having an affair. With Rickard popping up with the sexual molestation claims 10 days prior to Karen going missing, and with the shop shutting down in Feb, or thereabouts, and with the argument with Borce about finances, she maybe went to the person with whom she was having an affair, and took some chemical enhancements (ice, ecstasy, etc.), maybe she was a bit reckless with her drug use and OD'd and died. Then her partner disposed of her body.

This could be barking up the wrong tree completely, but it is thinking outside of the box, and i don't think it has been mentioned before. Further, i do seem to recall having personally mentioned early in the case Karen might have had a lover nearby. I since then walked that comment back (if not publicly, then privately), and i do recall a Maxwell Smart character chiding me for speaking of 'phantom lovers'. Now, as the case has dragged on, and those leading lights who figured Borce for a Gerard Baden Clay must be thinking again about what has happened- the "phantom lover" theory must come back into play.

Just to briefly recap the possible evidence for such a theory:

1) Anthony Rickard posting a swingers site on facebook and referencing his dad Boris; and,
2) Karen's prolific travels, which are unusual.

"Late on the evening of Sunday 30th September 2001 Patricia Riggs walked out of her home at Janet Street, Margate after an argument with her husband. Her husband reported her as a missing person when she did not return home by Wednesday 3rd October 2001. He stated that at the time of her disappearance she was in possession of a mobile phone, a credit card and a set of house keys. Police are treating the disappearance of Patricia Riggs as suspicious as it is uncharacteristic for her to not contact her children."

Have I totally missed something here? The headline of the first article below states that the argument was the night before Karen vanished. The article is behind a paywall but it is the headline that states this. Sleepinoz posted this same link up thread and it was only when I was reading over the various links that I spotted it.

The second article, dated 23 August, states that their argument occurred the day before she disappeared. This article is not behind a paywall.

So which is it? Karen and Borce argued on the morning of the 29 June and Karen then left the house to cool off. Or the argument occurred the day before/the night before Karen disappeared which would have been Tuesday 28 June?
