'Anthony Rickard, 32, claims to be the woman’s stepson and told the Herald Sun he heard Mrs Ristevski talk about leaving her husband Borce when her daughter Sarah turned 21.'

Thats the only statement I think he may have said that could have some foundation. I doubt KR told him that herself but maybe he heard it through BR or a relation
on that side of the family. Money comes through early this year so if KR you think it will give you some backing to start again & move on.

BR not happy when told after SR's 21st I am leaving you. Tells KR "well your signing the buisiness over to me", what other reason could he want her to do that?.

Then plan goes into action eg rural trips to view countryside, cctv fault occurs, speak to a close relation informing them of what is planned and may need assistance, transfer business
ownership and write a story 'what happened to me last week'. Plan on paper only very average (should have included taking up acting classes) and will leak information over the investigation

Timeline:
Sources close to the family reportedly believe Ms Ristevski received inheritence money this year (Januaru - March?)
Borce Ristevski told the Herald Sun the security cameras installed at their house had been broken for 'five or six months (January / February)
Borce took over his wife's company four months before disappearance (March)
SR's 21st (May)
KR missing (29 June)

KR been a private person and from her upbringing wouldnt want either family or friends to know that while she is still living under the same roof there are problems in the marriage
but would admit to such when she left & BR would no doubt hated that.

Week 1 I had BR at $1.10 but have closed the market as wouldn't even give you $1.01.

This i doubt is a possibility "So, maybe Karen was alive up at Diggers Rest, then everything went pear shaped, she tried to make phone call for help .....
it gets snatched out of her hand, turned off, and then what happened next is anyone's guess. H'mm?"
Maybe the evil person just magically appeared!

More show of Elvis leaving the building that morning than KR leaving her home like that (in my opinion).

Only plus is KR got to be with her daughter on her 21st

Sounds like you could be onto something there, excellent theorising. So are you saying KR met her untimely end in the home?

I think the two archetypes here have been:

1) Glamorous Karen
2) Dorky Dad Borce

All of this, collectively, paints a very said picture of the perception of women, the male gaze; and the fact that women are so often killed by men is, in a very large way, driven by these perceptions, lenses, and attitudes toward women. These attitudes are all-pervasive and we're all, to some extent, swept up into them.

RSBM

An insightful summary. Reads a bit like a novel, complete with characterisation (lol). Sad that it could be another true story of domestic violence.

Karen needs to be found. :please:

Beep beep ..... one more theory coming through. With the talk of medical conditions, maybe someone in the family was ill and everyone had to get tested - what if it was discovered SR didn't have BRs DNA? Explosive! Motive? Just a thought. I am behind in reading posts so will catch up now.

A possibility.

My theory:

Accidental death in the home in the heat of the moment. The two family members left can't believe what just happened, and can't think straight.
" omg omg.....this shouldn't have happened, I can't go to jail, etc. **** if i call the police they're going to look into finances, business dealings, connections to other local Ristevskis, overseas travel, international connections, etc etc. ****, I will be in worse trouble from certain people than from the police. This cannot happen. How do I fix this, who should I call...."

MOO of course. Just thinking out loud. Some people don't consider the police to be any kind of help. If you wouldn't call the police in this situation, what WOULD you do?

Silly example: in Pulp Fiction, when the gun went off and they had an unwanted body and crime scene. They called in The Wolf. He made it all go away. He is that kind of 'fixer' character. He's confident (cocky) and well-connected (dodgy) and smart (arrogant).

I think sometimes the kind of coverup story that people manage to come up with in these situations is tempered by the personalities involved, the amount of time involved, the risks involved, and the perceived threats involved.

This has been today's edition of Madge's Ramblings.

I lived round the corner from the Union Road deli street where Tuppence Moran was shot. There was a clean up crew there who specialise in just this task. They were scrubbing the blood from the tile grout. Tough job but someone's got to do it.

The relatives are left to clean up after a crime . Even if it's gruesome... Police don't do it nor do ambos, hence the need for private companies.
Thankfully they exist now. It's a relatively new service . There are several doco type short shows on YouTube about theses business.... I was fascinated for a while about joining...as I have no sense of smell at all. A bonus in such a job .

As per the media I think she showed up everyday so it would be unusual if she hadn't shown up without prior warning

If KR was in on time everyday , and was close to her one or two employees ( as you might expect in a small boutique) then alarm bells would go off would they not. I don't think it's at all unusual for the shop worker or workers to call her ... And then after no luck then call BR. What if the day was pay day and due to financial problems the girls were being payed cash , under the table so to speak.... No tax and no super etc .Hence the money KR was carrying. I have worked in small boutique/ shops where this would be a totally believable scenario. I would have started calling her husband too when I couldn't get hold of my boss....

I think he may not be a digging kind of man then, if it takes that long. He may have just concealed his crime very well. A shovel may be useful in concealment too. It seems that there would be plenty of places in the forest to hide his crime. And plenty of fallen branches for camouflage. Plus we know they searched one dam. There are probably more of those too.

Sometimes this reminds me of little William Tyrrell, and the forest searches that have been done, looking for him. There were a LOT of people involved in the initial searches, and police in subsequent ones. So much area, no exact indicator, so difficult to locate anything.

How many years did Karlie Jade Pearce-Stevenson lay hidden under just branches in Belanglo Forest.

Ah the fixer, depends on the circles you move in.

There's always one that can be found and then its the $$$.

The issue of the CCTV,

Its has worked for 5-6 months Borce states. Has he been asked why he didnt get it looked at during this time.

In the present crime climate in Melbourne, if i had CCTV id make sure it was working.

Unless there was something else in mind!

Bella blue is shut for lunch break. Peak hours and loosing business because the door is pulled shut and KR is not there.
BR be on the brink of loosing Bella Bleu in Taylors Lakes aswell, very stressful trying to run a business.

What do butchers & catering businesses do with their off cuts and leftover food?
Surely it doesn't go into the hold hold garbage. Where does it go?

VR had a catering business so he might know where to dispose of such products.

I'm not out to shock anyone here.

He could have had more than 2 hours to do it - that was only how long his phone turned off. For all we know the ping in Diggers Rest is when he turned it back on. Anyway a half hour drive x 2, plus an hour in the forest is likely plenty. I don't think burial is a necessity, just getting some ways off the road. She wasn't a large woman and was likely dressed in black. It'll be sheer chance if she is found.

It would be interesting to see how he explains taking her car if she was expected back from a walk and to go to work. Or what he said to the shop staff when they rang. Taking her car and the phone pings are going to be his undoing.

The only thing I can think that Karen needed to be there is if a rep was due in for Karen to choose and order stock or something else out of the normal. If Karen had an appointment with centre management they'd ring her. Otherwise good staff should be able to handle most problems.

I worked in a similar shop as Bella Bleu for 7 years, from day one I had keys to open and close the shop, I did the banking in the centre, vacuuming and dusted. There was a small safe hidden away for the float so I never worried the owner unless something dire happened...it never did. Actually I preferred it that way, it was an easy fun job where the customers were fun.
If I was on my own & needed lunch or banking there was a sign 'be back in 5 minutes' and I'd either eat lunch in the shop or just outside and watched if a customer needed to come in. There was a part-timer who came in several days a week.
If there was an order due I would call the source/distributor.
The owner and myself together would choose/order the major stock and ordered the usual stock.

It wasn't rocket science.

Good sales-staff don't leave the shop closed for long periods. Quick loo breaks etc you'll see a sign 'be back in five minutes'.

What day is Bin day on Oakley drive AH?

How many bins do they have btw?

Agree with this.

Many small boutique owners have more of a friendly relationship with staff, rather than boss/employee. Perhaps the staff member phoned out of concern for KR rather than to do with business (if KR had said she'd be in that morning)

I asked this question previously and was told that bin collection is on a Tuesday. So that would have been the 28 June.

What about if they have 2 or 3 bins?

Might be day for another collection for a grass bin ?

Every council does it different here its not uniform.

You wouldn't smell anything under all the HAZMAT gear anyway.

I'm not sure about multiple bins, I don't live in the area.
