Yep me!! I posted a while back about the staff ringing and wanting to know why KR hadn't showed up at work. I'm like, she's the boss for petes sake, it's normally the other way around, the boss ringing an employee asking why they have not come into work. I got a couple of responses along the lines of, Maybe they needed the previous days takings or they needed KR to do something as in deal with an issue only KR could deal with. Perfectly valid reasons for trying to contact her when she didn't turn up for work.

As per the media I think she showed up everyday so it would be unusual if she hadn't shown up without prior warning

Really? Id be interested to read a bit more about it. Do you have a link please?
They are private companies who clean up crime scenes after police and SOCOs have inspected, photographed and gathered any necessary evidence. They are usually staffed by people who have experience in biological and/or chemical hazard clean up, eg; former nurses, etc, after they have completed a specialised certification course.

Thought I'd put this together and have a look at the suspects. Please feel free to add, criticise, tear apart or what ever, I can take it :)
These are just my thoughts.

VR
Every time he makes a statement to MSM I cringe, wondering what stupid thing is he going to say now. I don't think he had anything to do with KRs disappearance but may well have had something to do with covering it up. There has been very little in MSM in relation to his movements etc. The only 'highlights' have been at least 3 statements attributed to him.
1. Karen if your still alive and don't want to talk to your husband ring me or my wife.
2. No that 52 year old Avondale Heights man questioned by Police is not my brother, that is someone else.
3. She has fled to China or the USA on a fake passport and isn't coming back.
No he can't be a suspect. Police would tear him apart in a flash and he would end up incriminating himself. To simple.

AR
Would have been high on the list mainly because of his SM posts and putting himself out there. But I don't think he is directly involved in KRs disappearance. I think he is all bluster and big talk wanting to give himself some form of notoriety. He is a wonna be if could be but can't be tough guy and gangster but fails in all departments. There is a big difference between threatening someone with a weapon and actually using that weapon. He is using this sad event to punish and humiliate KR and BR. He is obviously troubled and is seeking revenge. Despite all his big talk I don't think he has the guts or courage.

SR
Very little is known about her whereabouts on the day of the 'argument'. Theories have been made about a possible push or fall down the stairs. Although this theory is plausible, in the interviews where SR has appeared, there are no obvious signs of scratches etc on her face or hands. If BR was present you would assume he would have intervened. Others have also stated that SR and KR were close. An accidental fall down the stairs is possible but why cover it up?

BR
All roads lead to BR. All media releases have been centred on his movements, business dealings and money problems. He also claims to have been the last person to see KR alive. Has shown very little empathy in his wifes disappearance and comes across in media interviews as arrogant and non emotive. Appears to be more concerned with protecting his business name rather then finding his wife. He appears to leave out what could be vital information for investigators and gives me the impression that he thinks he is smarter then the investigators. The recent revelations regarding the phone pings on the day of KRs disappearance would be the most damning evidence so far. No explanation yet from BR or his Lawyer. So many twists and turns in his stories, so many inconsistencies, would no doubt be NO 1

No I dont always believe whats in MSM either but I do respect Professor Coutts opinion....

Prof Reg Coutts, who often serves as an expert telecoms witness in court hearings,

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...e/news-story/c0c30a0e5cb3c40bfcff881cab6515f3

Reg has advised governments on telecommunication policy, appeared as an expert witness giving opinion on the technical workings of mobile phone networks relevant to legal argument,

Thanks for the link, Amee. This is interesting in relation to this case.

Prof Reg Coutts regularly writes on telecommunications issues, eg:

Cell Phone Evidence can be misused by the state to attempt to ‘prove’ the location of a defendent at a point in time. Reg Coutts and Hugh Selby recently presented a paper on their experience at the NSW Criminal Law Conference:

‘Problems with Cell Phone Evidence tendered to ‘prove’ the location of a person at a point in time’

thank you

I came across this earlier.
But how did a Gold Coast girl, who left school early to become a hairdresser end up with a ‘secret life’ in the underworld of crime scene cleaning?

1) Can you spoof phone pings? Is that easy or difficult to do?

2) Maybe AR used his 5 mobiles to perform an ingenious spoofing of his dad's mobile to frame him for Karen's murder.

I absolutely do not believe 2. I just thought i'd mention it for some adventure :)

Impossible ..

Armchair snoop...........My NO.1 is BR, without a doubt..........K.I.S.S..........Hopefully an ARREST soon.....:jail: :copcar: :bricks:

I lived round the corner from the Union Road deli street where Tuppence Moran was shot. There was a clean up crew there who specialise in just this task. They were scrubbing the blood from the tile grout. Tough job but someone's got to do it.

Excellent summation Armchair snoop and I agree with everything you said.

Does anyone think it's a little bit weird the shop staff calling their boss because she hasn't turned up on the dot? If they were my employees I don't think I'd be very impressed.

If she was the only one who had the key, hee, probably[emoji4]

I didn't realise forensic soil analysis was so extensive.

http://www.clw.csiro.au/cafss/

I'm wondering if any evidence came out of the soil LE found in the cars or on the shovel. We've discussed on this thread about an old mine as a possible place where Karen's remains might be found. But a mine would have a specific composition of its soil wouldn't it? Like minerals? Would that be the same with the Lerderderg State Park?

Could this his be part of the reason why LE asked the public to search their properties in these areas (besides the fact that it would be too much of a mammoth task for LE to undertake)? Maybe the soil they analysed had nothing much in terms of composition to link it to any specific site or area.

Fan-bloody-tastic AS. Thank you for the thought you've obviously put into your post. I really appreciate it.

Yes, I looked at the tower at 273 Gisborne-Melton Rd and posted a screen grab of that area at the same time I posted the map with all of the towers.

Here it is again and the map of the towers is below.

Thanks Makara!

I'm going with the phone on one last time before it got piffed into dense bushland. He wouldn't have buried her, scared of hard work.

I just had a thought. Maybe BR went 4WDing with his brother who has the Landcruiser 4x4. That might explain his knowledge of some of these areas where Karen's remains are thought to be. The State Park is one possibility. On Google Maps there are definitely tracks at Lerderberg State Park as well as a 4WD training facility. They could have also gone cruising in isolated areas just to test out the Landcruiser. Just brainstorming here.

If Karen was the only one with the key, that would decisively sink BR's story about the argument and walk in the early business hours, yes? If she went for a walk at all, it implies that the shop staff were capable for the ordinary vicissitudes of business in her absence. Perhaps something extraordinary and urgent turned up and they did need to call. If it was late morning as MSM claims, BR was apparently out driving with the two mobile phones. I wonder if he spoke to the staff or they left a message. If he spoke, what did they notice about his mood and even background noises? It must be quite traumatic to bury or dump a murdered wife.

Ok, back to basics, how did BR determine that his home security had stopped working five or six months ago and not 1 yr ago or a month ago? Is it obvious once it stops working?
Did he routinely check footage and one day realised there was no new footage apart from that last footage he viewed.
Did he one day notice the lens not moving anymore(if this is what normally happens).

I wonder if forensics have determined how they stopped working? was there obvious tampering with the system. - wires cut?, power switched off?

http://mogaznews.com/en/World-News/119774/Missing-Melbourne-mum-Karen-Ristevski-forced-to-close-

"Borce Ristevski told the Herald Sun the security cameras installed at their house had been broken for 'five or six months'.

'The CCTV cameras at the house haven't been working for five or six months, not just the time Karen disappeared', Mr Ristevski told the publication"

Such a good point JLZ .... One often sees the staff hanging around outside shops waiting for the boss to arrive to open the joint. Did she have the only key? And if she was sick would a staff member come and collect said key? All possible.

I know with our security system, it's set to email us notifications when it senses movement. Also, we have an app on our phones that lets us log in at any time and watch remotely.
