Hello everyone, longtime reader, first time posting.
Based on what I've seen, we're only going on Mr Ristevski's claim that he last saw his wife Karen leave the home around 10AM. We don't have any other corroborating evidence to confirm this? I still can't find anywhere that says Karen's daughter saw her Mother that morning at all, can anyone shed any light on this please? It may be that (as someone theorised months ago) that Karen was already 'missing' earlier than 10AM, and the fuel guage trip was to dispose of belongings.

very good point.

Interesting enough Sarah is still working at Bella Blue (and has been for some time). She's cut her hair a lot shorter and I didn't have a very pleasant shopping experience there on the weekend (was looking for a formal dress and didn't buy anything...very over-priced) She is very cold and not at all friendly. Of course I didn't say a word, as I was just a customer looking for help to purchase something, but the store was empty the entire 20mins I spent in there (shopping centre packed). Just my observations for anyone that was interested.
Personally if my Mum was missing there is no way I'd be working in the store...i just find the whole thing incredibly odd.

Poor girl. She probably feels like she and her grief are on display as much as the merchandise.

I still find Vasko's plea to Karen asking if she is alive or dead to contact them...or words to that effect, an odd thing to say.

The newspaper reports stated that a key piece of evidence was sent to technical experts in the US. The report said that the evidence was potentially important piece of evidence. the next sentence stated " Detectives have also re-examined hundreds of hours of closed circuit television footage in their efforts to discover what happened to her". It also mentioned "It is believed transmitter towers on the Calder Freeway near Gisborne detected Mrs Ristevski’s phone about 40km northwest of her home on that day. On the same day, her husband’s phone was detected on the Calder Freeway near Diggers Rest, about 20km northwest of the family home".

I don't think it was 'soil' sent over due to the word technical used in the report so I am guessing the FBI have superior surveillance equipment to Australia that can be used to observe firstly for prevention of a crime and then also used for
intelligence gathering once a crime has been committed.

So it was either to gain potential evidence from a phone or CCTV recordings.

This company has amazing software have a look at 'Frame Fusion' about 2/3rd's down. The FBI is one of their customers.

If it's true and VR is the person who locals claim to have seen at the burned down restaurant, he better have a damn good reason for being there! *Can't think of any reason why one would be visiting a burned down restaurant myself, other than, they're up to no good and criminal activity is involved!!* :jail:

Another article in news.com.au today saying the same as above about Vaskos visits. Which is very interesting considering when asked what he thinks happened to her he said she flew to the US or China?.. Something you would say if guilty to divert attention. Then Borce's trying to help with that by throwing in the one about an evil monster or whatever he said. And I still find it strange that the daughter of a missing mother isn't using social media to get word out for help like most in this situation would do. Especially in this day and age when girls like her are on social media over 50% of the time! If family involved could be why they are trying to keep the secret; 2 with obnoxious theiories and one not talking daughter. We suspected they stopped media attention around 30 oct because it was hindering the case and LE were hoping the media coverage that did happen up until that point would hopefully make whoever slip up. Now it's been 6 months and I think it's a combo of going on leads worked on over last few months and again trying to scare the suspect with quite specific details that they are close

One local that was interviewed on the news stated that she had seen VR in the area before KRs disappearance and after her disappearance, yes the question is why, if he was, was he there. Every time a new report comes out on this case it just becomes more and more bizarre. I still can't see VR as being directly involved, but indirectly, I now have no doubt. Might have to be a twin share cell. :jail:

mella...Great to have a local on board to keep us updated re the shop.
Has Sarah only worked at Bella Blue since Karen's disappearance?...With the shop being so quiet, they probably couldn't afford to keep the other regular staff that Karen had & that is why Sarah is there on her own.
I am feeling that Borce acted alone with Karen's death...maybe his brother Vasco knows what happened or could have been involved with disposal of the body...maybe Sarah knows what happened but is remaining tight-lipped...Don't know what to think about AR's involvement (if any at all).
Hopefully, there will be an arrest/arrests soon...MOO..:banghead:

Long time reader, first time poster. :)

Just wanted to respond to this point about Sarah not using SM to search for her mother.
I have a friend who knows Karen, and in the days after her mothers disappearance, she did in fact message everyone of her mums friends trying to see if they knew where she was/knew anything.
She may not be doing public posts, but she definitely was using it to find her.
I imagine right now she must be in an awful place.
Her mother is missing, and all signs point to her father.
I can't even imagine. :(

Finally some progress, but wasn't the suggestion made to search that area on here about 2 months ago? Lots of mentions of the forest in that area. I don't like to be critical and it's a big area.

If they located a phone / handbag then I wonder if they have any idea on where the remains may be - assuming the worst :( Considering what we think are the time frames then it would make sense if they were in that vicinity. I guess the authorities know more hence why they searched properties in the other areas further our (NE Vic?)

Just my thoughts.

I find it strange that the police haven't stated the date and approximate time that Karen's brother in-law was seen " Police search for missing mother Karen Ristevski on the quiet rural road where it's claimed her brother-in-law Vasko Ristevski was spotted at a burned down restaurant". A date and time might well establish that he may have been seen on another occasion and would help to possibly allow other witness’s to come forward if that was the case. It’s a possible crime scene as a phone connected to the enquiry was pinged to the area so surely Karen’s brother-in-law has been questioned as to what he was doing there. If I am connected by family to a possible missing/murder enquiry then no way am I returning to a potential crime scene that was previously searched unless I had a valid reason to be there for either family or business. What he was doing when seen at the burnt out restaurant on a quiet road?

I have seen a few photos and TV shots of Karen’s brother in-law months ago and I honestly doubt that I would recognise him from a distance. I think he was spotted but not in real time. He may have possibly gone back (5 plus months is a good wait) to possibly retrieve evidence and police surveillance has picked this up after the fact. Maybe cameras were hidden previously or a phone or car were tracked to the area which gave them the thought to conduct another search.

I don’t think the police would have gone in for a two day search with as many men and a specialised tracking dog unless they were certain someone close to the situation had re-visited. Remember the area was previously searched and nothing was found. Hopefully something was found this time but possibly a major piece of evidence had already been removed.

The most puzzling piece of the whole case is the police haven’t let up trying to solve what has happened to Karen yet the two closest people to her are behaving as that is the furthest thing on their minds! Bizarre to say the least!

If Vasko was out there, I wonder if he had his phone with him and left a trail of phone pings.
