I can't find rentals at the Hyde ATM I did this research once before. Here are some links of units around the area. A unit with 3 bedroom is for sale for $1.3 million. So if that was a rental it would go approx $2,000 per week but remember this all happened was 2 years ago. I recall the equivalent rentals then was approx $1,500 per week.
So where did he get his money to live this high life and why the surveillance cameras, especially the pin hole camera at the door. Surely the concierge noticed something suspicious if he was having a lot of guests, that's a tell tail sign of 'selling' but he could have been delivering. Was he selling 'stuff' from his unit or closeby on the streets? It's close proximity to Oxford street & Kings Cross but the big money would be to the corporate sector which surrounds this area. We know he was involved in a drug lab in Tennyson (near Windsor NSW) he was caught with $5,000 in his pockets & bags of extasy tablets, he had a past of burglary & stolen goods when he was younger.
The businesses we know of is the fake handbags & importation of shoes & the 'health' supplements.
His phone records should show the police how he funded his lifestyle and his kindness to family and friends.
Those family handbags certainly could have been real but I'd have see closer, say $2,000 each? I'm sure he wouldn't have been involved in the MANY ram raids at the designer boutiques around Sydney because everyone says he's a good boy.
