More spontaneous thoughts .... that phone number in the Lennox Head advertisement, has an area code of (066) - so I looked it up and it included these areas back in 1994: Ballina, Casino, Coffs Harbour, Grafton, Lismore, Murwillumbah - just because his PO Box was at Lennox Head doesn't necessarily mean he lived there. The Medicare card was used at Grafton ..... Murwillumbah is associated with the Hermes cult, and only 18 minutes away is Tyalgum. Food for thought. I do wonder why the Medicare card was used in Grafton.

The news channel aired footage today or yesterday(time difference is a funny old thing and confuses me easily haha, I always am able to listen to new pods on a Sunday night) did anyone catch it? I didn’t as I am in the Uk and haven’t seen it posted online (yet).

Yes stole from her front seat of her car outside her house and then the cctv was taken of the woman in a garage. 12 months prior to her leaving. Could definitely have lead to fraud (after Marion was missing not while she was living her regular life before) .

Thanks Me123, that stolen wallet info could really be of value to solving the case, hope it's talked about on the podcast soon, and yes, fraud could be the motive, yes indeed ..... would be good to know if it was just a random snatch and grab or something more involved and if they caught the villain. I had a look at the Facebook, actually discovered I can read everything there even though have no account so that's good, will try and keep up-to-date. And yeah, you're right, I suppose any age could be recruited to a cult/sect ..... oh boy, I'm so confused, did she join a group ...... h'mmm.

I have followed this case.
I rarely post.
I believe that Marion fell for some guy.
He convinced her to change her name and travel away with him.
I think it was planned and that she was killed.
His associate travelled back to Australia with Marion's passport ( Flora Bella's passport ). She looked enough like Marion.
This woman "took out" $5,000 per day from Marion's account for as long as she ( and her associate ) thought she could get away with it.
They probably didn't actually know how much was in the account, and didn't want to overstep the mark. Questions might have been asked by the bank then.
Having said this - I know that this would not be the family's preferred outcome.
I really feel for Marion's daughter, Sally.
BUT I really think that the police have not done enough to find out what happened to Marion.
I think that the police have failed Sally terribly.

Welcome Shany, excellent theory. I've been trying to think of a reason why you would change your name by deed poll for someone .... what sort of story would they tell you? Wonder if they brought Marion's luggage back, she had a lot, or left it somewhere. One thing I've read is that you can change your name three times by deed poll and must wait a period of 12 months before you can change it again - maybe she was just doing it for 12 months, but why, got no idea at this point. So the passenger list should have the name of the villain/s. Why is this list not available to Sally!!

Hi, yeah I think there is definitely a Male connection somewhere, someone to manipulate what she needed to do to meet their own ends.
Since episode 8 came out I’ve been leaning towards something like a cult being the reason she left. Wether she is alive now or not is another thing.
I do think she went to the UK but I’d love to know if there were any recruiters over there (here, for me) st the same time that Marion was. Anna Fitzgerald said that she became affiliated with them because they travelled to her in Ireland and I think London too? Maybe Marion went with them even if she was new to them herself she’d always wanted To go to the uk and could have seemed a nice friendly face to

Welcome Rosewood, interesting theory, will have a look at the report. The mention of returning the scales is pretty interesting, may have some relevance to things for sure.
 
Okay, more random thoughts ... the money that was systematically taken from Marion's account over the three weeks, just wondering if it was used to purchase house/land relating to Infinity Forms of Yellow Remember/Hermes Far Eastern Shining, in the Tygalum/Murrwillumbah area, might show a link .... would be interesting if a check on sales at that time could be done. Still thinking Marion didn't join a cult, but no-one knows what happened at this point, so anything's possible. Not sure if Hermes Far Eastern Shining, TSS, the name change are all red herrings ..... ?

Interesting. I’ve just searched Carlo schlesser and I think I can see a foreign obituary from 2016 for his wife marianne.

Has it been said when Marion’s birthday was?
