Bins at the property are believed to have been seized as Ms Trotter often sorted recycling

in the rubbish outside her property and at neighbouring properties.
BBM …

Queensland police believe an elderly woman who has been missing for 12 days from inner-city Brisbane has died, and are investigating whether her disappearance is linked to her habit of removing recyclable waste from neighbourhood bins.

There appear to be a large number of large unit complexes within close proximity in Maryvale Street … which would account for 40 Detectives door knocking …

At first I couldn’t imagine something like this would be possible in a small unit complex, however the number of neighbours in the possible area, with all of the units could possibly increase the possibility of something nefarious happening .… imo

Police state that will share more info tomorrow or Sunday …

From Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham,

“I will be providing further information specifically relevant as to how we know she is deceased either tomorrow or Sunday.”

So, the police uncovered evidence on Thursday afternoon and night which led them to know that Lesley is deceased.

And they might tell us what that evidence is on Saturday or Sunday.

I wonder if an arrest is pending, and that warrants the delay in sharing the information. Because it sounds as if the family has been notified of their findings and are devastated.
Unless they want to give the family a little time to process this, before telling the public how they know Lesley is deceased.
But then why tell us anything right now. Maybe putting the pressure on someone?

Yes agree SA I think Police have some significant information as well and are giving the family some time to grieve before the news breaks ….

And possibly applying pressure to a POI as you have suggested

Evidenced by the following statements and information …

Something tragic has occurred on that Tuesday morning that’s taking that opportunity away from her.

At this stage, we do not have a location of Mrs Trotter’s body, but we do have several lines of inquiry that may lead us to that location …

Massingham said anyone with information or dashcam footage – particularly between 5am and 7am on Tuesday 28 March, should immediately contact police.

Latest Update - News Clip

Taken from the video

Police are looking for CCT Footage particularly of Maryvale Street and Clayton Lane on the 28th March, between 5 - 7 am … (at approx 2mins)

Also note, the bin footage in the video .. bin number 58 has gone …. footage appears to be facing the same direction … as earlier photos ..

They also state at that time of the morning, Maryvale Street is a very busy little area …..

Maryvale Street and Clayton Lane
Its a very specific area….0ne block with a dead end street, a very specific time frame……

Further info from an article update … The Courier-Mail

LT kept a diary … hoping there are entries made that are helpful to Police ..

Paraphrased :
LT’s niece said she’d found diary entries of her aunt’s schedule for the day she went missing.

“We found her diary, she was due to be at the gym Tuesday morning.
She rang the gym, her last check-in was Saturday (March 25).

LT had a hair appointment at 3.30pm Tuesday afternoon and her hairdresser said she never showed up.”

Ms Trotter never married or had children but was in regular contact with her brother L, niece L and nephew A. She was due to move into a retirement village the week she disappeared and the unit she’d owned for 43 years was under contract after being listed for sale for offers over $400,000. “We are still in the dark as to what has exactly taken place; whether she has left her home of her own accord or otherwise,” niece Lisa Trotter Schultz told The Courier-Mail this week.

I just google-walked this Maryvale Street/Clayton Lane area.
This is one time that I am glad that google seems to photograph its street views on rubbish day.

It appears that Lesley's unit block - and some other residences - put their bins out on Clayton Lane (behind their units, where their garages are).
With some other Maryvale Street addresses putting their bins out on Maryvale Street.

Perhaps Lesley carried out her recycling sorting activities on both Maryvale St and Clayton Lane.

Personal comment: if we put our bins as close together as the Clayton Lane bins are, we would get a notice on our bins saying that they must be a metre apart! Our street residents have received these notices in the past. In fact, at one point, the council came around and put yellow dots on our street, signifying "THIS is where you put your bins". :D
It must have really been ticking off the rubbish collector, our bins being too close together.

I also did a google walk today SA …. Haha ..Great Minds …
Did you find much in the way of security cameras in the area? i couldn’t see any in Clayton Lane ….

Wow about getting a notice about having your bins 1 meter apart and the yellow dots ..o_O (I have never heard of that before… )

7 News Queensland have reported tonight that blood has been found at a neighbouring property around the bins….

Nine New Queensland have reported tonight that Police will give an update tomorrow, and have set up at Indooroopilly Police Station for the investigation …

It’s not sounding good ….I really hope that this poor lady didn’t loose her life over a recycling dispute!!! That seems just ridiculous to me … and so sad …

Can't see any obvious security cameras in that direct area.
And the way that many of the unit blocks are situated sideways on their block, I am not sure that there would be much doorbell camera footage of the street either. Quite a few unit blocks in that area.

On my little street, the bins being too close together was causing the rubbish truck pick-up fork to knock other (full) bins over when they were trying to pick up a bin. Rubbish everywhere, which the rubbish collector had to get out of the truck and pick up (or not).

The blood was what they already knew about, and the amount has most likely been an amount that no one could have survived from losing that much.

Foul play, or a hit and run that whoever has tried to cover up.
The most likely hiding place is one of the bins. :(
Or taking away the body for burial. Maybe a fair distance, maybe not so far...

Not sure now about my idea that she may have fallen into the bin.

I guess the blood has also been DNA tested as Lesley's blood.
I wonder if anyone was seen outside trying to wash down an area.
