Fingerprint dusting powder on the door? I'm sure they gave her house a good going over, and I hope they found something(s) to match against a killer when they find him/her!!

Ms Webber is in an induced coma in the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...ighting-for-life/story-fni0fee2-1226759422888

"A patient who is in a medically induced coma has a brain injury with swelling that has not responded to other treatments. When the brain swells it can be life-threatening, as it can constrict blood supply and destroy additional brain tissue.

When a patient is put in a medically induced coma or deep state of unconsciousness, the brain is able to rest and swelling is more likely to decrease. When swelling is relieved, pressure on the brain also reduces, hopefully preventing some or all brain damage from occurring."

Sounds as though Shey was badly beaten about the head, to get brain swelling. :(

Oh, that is just so terrible to hear. I am so sorry for this poor woman - sending her much love.

I'm wondering who saw Shey sunbathing as I think hers has a pool, her property looks like it has high colour bond fencing, the property next door is two storey so maybe they could see her in her back yard, I'm wondering who else was watching her & what other properties can see. Also if her home has a stair case I'm wondering if she had been thrown down or over onto the tiles. Maybe she disturbed a burglar. My iPad maps is not helping with the finer searches on the properties close and/or any lane ways.
I saw a 'sold' sign on the property to the left of Shey's & may have attracted strangers. Just sharing my thoughts.

I noticed the For Sale sign too they'll get you but then I noticed that the Image Date is December 2009 for that particular street view.

Shey had lived in her house for about 4 years, and had never had anyone else living there with her. I can't see any sales history for the house, so perhaps she bought it as a new-build. It is on a very private street (thanks for your Google link on Pg 1 enzeder - which I have 'borrowed' and added here), with only one house between her and the main road (Wonga Rd) leading to her very short street.

Empty green space across the road from her house, with the back fences of other houses beyond that.

It seems that the perp could have entered and left the area fairly easily without being seen by anyone.

It is believed Ms Webber had lived at the house alone for about four years.

A neighbour said she had one or two boyfriends, who were ''nice guys'', and ''she kept to herself''.

ETA: That is another coincidental thing with Kylie Blackwood ... both live(d) on short no-through roads - very little traffic on their streets.

It appears that all the back houses were higher so they could see into the back yard & house. In your picks it shows a vacant block but I think there is a house there now. The private street isn't so private.
What kind of nurse was Shey?

What kind of nurse was Shey?

"Shey turned her nurturing nature into a career when she did a Bachelor of Nursing and specialised as a theatre nurse.

She has been doing agency nursing since leaving the Maroondah Hospital at the end of last year."

If Shey was doing agency nursing, there is a good chance she was working all over the place - although if certain hospitals/wards like a person a lot, they may request that specific person when they need an agency nurse.

I wonder if she was getting limited shifts, maybe not so much demand, or if she wanted to slow down a bit (nursing can be tough on the body/back/feet/mind) so that is why she was advertising for a person to share her house, and share some expenses.

Of course, she may just have wanted some company around the house too. I wonder if Shey was advertising for specifically a male or a female housemate ... I can't find her ad on Gumtree, presumably it has been pulled.

Yes, I think I can see the roof of a house next door, where the vacant lot is in the map image's, in these pic's.

Thanx for the pics-really helpful :loveyou:
In pic 2, the second house to the left looks really high. Is that an optical illusion because it would have full vision of her back yard? I'm not incriminating her neighbours but I'm surprised of the lack of privacy. It's a beautiful home, she's obviously a hard worker. It could be anyone, pool maintenance or tradesmen working there recently. I noticed the solar on her roof, God only knows who installs those.

"She's got significant injuries to her head and other parts of her body which I'm not going to go into."

Video: http://media.canberratimes.com.au/news/national-news/online-dating-link-in-attack-4922552.html

So, on the Wednesday morning, the delivery driver noticed that the delivery card he left on the Monday wasn't touched, and as he bent down to pick it up he noticed bloody clothing items and 'signs of a disturbance' in the hallway - which led him to calling the police. The detective didn't say that the delivery driver actually saw Shey in the hallway.

She was barely conscious and facedown when they found her, didn't say where that was, and unable to get to her phone. There are significant injuries to other parts of Shey's body too. What the heck has someone done to her?! :(

Also, information received leads police to believe that Shey 'wasn't backward in coming forward in inviting people to her home' which they find very concerning with regard to the dating site.

I shudder to think what the maniac has done to Shey SouthAussie. :(

I heard police say in that press conference video, speaking of the courier guy, that he's pretty adamant that he did not see on Monday what he saw on Wednesday.

OMG ... this is like a horror story. Poor Shey ... her poor family! :(

So, it is sounding like she was attacked some time on the Monday or Tuesday then ... not over the weekend. And her best friend couldn't reach her on the Monday. I wonder if Shey was in the habit of ringing her best friend back as soon as she could if she missed her call. It is so unclear as to when this even happened!

I think it was you SouthAussie who posted up thread that Shey may have dragged herself closer to the door between Monday and Wednesday. (paraphrasing)

Yes, but I don't think the detective said that the delivery driver saw Shey in the hallway on Wednesday... just bloody clothing 'items' and signs of a disturbance ... and he saw nothing on the Monday.

Were the bloody clothing items removed from Shey and she was chased into another room perhaps? Things knocked over in the hallway too?

This is all too horrible. I cannot imagine what this poor girl has gone through. I only hope that she survives, and can name her attacker, or at least assist in identifying him/her somehow. And then can go on to lead a fruitful life at some point down the road.

Right, no mention of the courier guy actually seeing Shey. Just the bloody clothing and blood on the tiles and signs of a disturbance. One interview or article I heard or read said Shey was semi-conscious when found others say unconscious?
