It is alleged police found a camera in Stanford's car on Wednesday night with photos of a burnt body.
His car, a white Toyota Hilux 2WD, has been towed from his home.
On Thursday morning police found Ms Scott's red Mazda 3 at a rural property in nearby Wamoon, 8km out of Leeton, which is now a crime scene.
Police haven't ruled out more crime scenes being established as the hunt for Ms Scott's body continues.
Areas of the school where Ms Scott worked have also been examined, Detective Superintendent Michael Rowan said.
"There are also a number of other locations of interest to us at this point,' he told reporters in Leeton on Thursday.
"We have two declared crime scenes at this point in time but there may be others."

No, it depends where you live!

Home in means to direct on a target.

Hone means to sharpen or to perfect. Hone in began as an alteration of home in, and many people regard it as an error. It is a very common, though, especially in the U.S. and Canada—so common that many dictionaries now list it—and there are arguments in its favor.
Good to know, but unless you're a pigeon you'll always hone in my eyes.

I'll admit: I doubted the cops on this one. I should know not to. Our police in Australia are pretty good.
Having friends and family that are cops you'd think I'd give them more credit lol. I think I give the media too MUCH credit - bizarrely, given I generally feel pretty cynical about it.

According to texts from MSM Mr. Vincent Stanford was born and bread Australian, not an Immigrant, but rather a returning Expat!

"Vincent Stanford, charged with murdering Leeton teacher Stephanie Scott, underwent criminal checks, cleaning company says.
Colin Joss & Co cleaning division manager Fleur Dooley said the suspect had worked for the Albury based company since October 2014."

"The 24-year-old, was born in Tasmania (AUSTRALIA) before moving to to the Netherlands. The family moved
to Australia from the Netherlands within the past 4 years."

An expatriate (often shortened to expat) is a person temporarily or permanently residing in a country other than that of their citizenship.

PS. Why is the bride to be's name Stephanie Scott in MSM news, but on her FB it Stephanie Clare https://www.facebook.com/steph.scott.758 ?

Had she been married before, hence the 2 different Surnames? Is the cleaner perhaps an "old flame" or "Ex-husband"?
If you look at the link for facebook it says steph.scott758. She registered as Stephanie Scott then must have changed to use her middle name later. Many teachers do this.

Geez I feel for the police. Imagine knowing what they know and dealing with the family. As of this morning her sister thought she might still be alive :(

Me too. I wondered why the family was paying for a private helicopter and why the police weren't using theirs. Clearly they knew more but couldn't say anything.

Was very sad to hear all of this today!
I have to admit that 2 things that crossed my mind about all of this was
a) this guy had a dangerous infatuation with Stephanie and took a photo as a momento *shudder*
b) highly unlikely but photographic proof of a 'hit' being carried out. But this seems to far fetched considering how sloppy he was in covering his tracks.

Local The Flinders newspaper wrote:

"police allegedly found blood in his car and a photograph on a phone of what is believed to be a BURNT body."

"Fairfax Media understands police have seized the phone that contains photographic evidence."

Gosh ... I am not even slightly thinking her fiancé had anything to do with this.
I am not seeing any red flags.
They appear to be a gorgeous couple due to be married surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
From all reports she was over the moon excited about starting her life as a married couple.
For him to be involved make absolutely no sense.

This unfortunately seems like another horrible monster has decided to give into his sick thoughts and urges, and carry out an horrific crime against a beautiful young woman with her whole gorgeous life ahead of her.

The spot where the car has been found seems like a really odd place to dump a car if that was indeed what happened. It seems much too exposed and obvious, not to mention rather close to town as well. I'm wondering whether poor Stephanie herself was driving out that way and had been followed or something?
Maybe we'll know a lot more before the day is over - all such terrible news for her family and the whole community.

I think the same catswhiskers. He could have flagged her down & she would have stopped since she would have thought it had something to do with school. Is the spot where the car was found on her way home?

I think it's probably her middle name and she has done that for privacy reasons. I know a few teachers and a few LE who have all changed their surnames to their middle names to stop people looking them up.

I am a teacher- I use my maiden name on facebook to make it harder for kids to find me. Many of my teacher colleagues do the same thing. For those who are not married, many use their middle name.

I totally agree with you. I remember people trying to pin guilt onTom Meagher when Jill died too and I think this will be a similar situation. There will be plenty of evidence. They caught, arrested and charged him so quickly.

Can't they trace the phone he used to take the photo? Get its pings to try to triangulate or narrow down areas he might have been (to try to find her body)?

Although police have yet to find the body of Leeton teacher Stephanie Clare Scott, they will allege she was killed on Easter Sunday.

Police will allege that Ms Scott, 26, was killed between 11am and 7.20pm on April 5 by a cleaner at Leeton High School, Vincent Stanford, 24.

I wonder why it's not after 1pm, when she sent the email to the bus company?

Editing to add: it gives her middle name as Clare, just in case there was any doubt as to her facebook name.

I wonder if he has an iPhone? A friend pointed out that iPhones store the exact time and place photos are taken...

Clearing up the two crime scenes, from the link above:

"This inquiry is in its infancy, it will take time," he told a media conference on Thursday.

He said that the police had so far secured two crime scenes, one at Wamoon where Ms Scott's car was found this morning and another at a residential property in Leeton.

He added that a number of areas within Leeton High School had been examined but that no crime scenes had been established there.
