My daughter is autistic and has always collected things, I don't believe in most cases it is is anything other than enjoying collecting an item, per say, just as anyone would collect anything, however, in this case it was not the doll collecting which caught my eye but the topless photos in front of them, the filters with flowers, his name on the account and that was before I looked further into and saw the fake accounts.

There seems to be a lot of the Disney Store "toddler" Disney princess, which are basically younger versions of the normal aged princesses, they're the bigger dolls, not barbie sized... There's a Limited Edition barbie on the top shelf on the right but I can't make out much beyond that however I'll check again and modify the brightness on the image...
If a child was brought into that room, what would their likely response be?

That's unusual. Typically, if a female steals a child, it's to take it to raise as her own. Typically, if a male does, it's sexually motivated.

Given that this man shows quite effeminate characteristics and is perhaps gender identity disordered, I'm hoping he fits the more female profile, but it's such a bizarre case that it's so hard to tell.

The maximum sentence for the kidnapping charge is 7 years in this case.

I think you're 100% spot on about the gender identity and he might have a multiple personality disorder also.

I also think he's fantasied about having a real life doll for some time. Is there any cases similar to this? I know he read true crime novels and followed missing persons cases, so I'm curious if he's read about this before or his own fantasy just took over.

Does anyone actually know how many dolls the perp had? A lot of people are taking that picture on msm with the vast amount of dolls all stacked up neat in a very well kept room.

I mentioned it earlier but how does anyone know that was in fact the perps collection and not just an image he stole?

There must be over 100 dolls in that room.

As a rough guesstimate, how much money do you think has been spent on that collection? Or is that to hard to even guess?

Maybe there is some grief or loss in his life?
Maybe confusion about his identity?
He stole a 4 yr old, not a baby..
I wonder why?
Was it that he would not have been confident to care for a smaller child?

I would suspect (IMO) he wanted to groom. He also bought a Bratz nail kit I noticed, and I’m certain he might have dyed her hair. I keep trying to get a good look at her nails on the video when she comes out. I think beautifying would be part of the routine, and maybe dressing.

I think he dyed her hair too. Everyone is saying its lighting, but it is clearly not. It's gone from yellow blonde (no red) to a golden/copper tinted blonde, which can only be achieved with red dye deposits.

If the motive isn’t sexual then I suspect he may have some kind of attachment disorder, this is usually caused by childhood neglect, abandonment, abuse or lack of attention.
If he did experience some form of neglect or trauma at a young age, this could have manifested as caring for dolls, making sure they are well groomed and clean which has turned into an obsessive compulsive disorder, reflecting what he didn’t receive as a child. If he has difficulties interacting with people in real life due to a mental illness or past trauma he hasn’t been able to care for another actual human so has turned his attention to the dolls, then maybe when an opportunity arose to have in his mind his own real life doll, he snatched CS..

He’s described as a ‘loner’, there could be many reasons why he does not socialise much, I suspect it could be a psychological, neurological or cognitive issue when it comes to interacting with others. He may have been reenacting what he feels he should have received when growing up, or he may have a deep rooted need for a family or companionship but for one reason or another has been unable to maintain a stable relationship. The dolls may have started as a coping mechanism, and slowly became an obsession.

I’m hoping it didn’t have a sexual element for CS’s sake. Those who have a sexual attraction to dolls tend to pick one or two that become their ‘partner’, they take them on dates and are intimate with them many times for reasons I stated above, but this usually fulfils their needs and they would not go after a child for that purpose as they would consider that ‘cheating’ on their doll partner. This is why I’m leaning slightly towards it being an unresolved attachment issue from childhood that has spiralled into needing a real life companion and someone to care for. MOO

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you.

I seriously don't see any evidence of grooming or sexual interest in children.

Adding to Estelle’s post, I’d like to add another dimension.

Given I can’t help my curiosity with this case, I wasted my day and managed to collect the names of at least 50 fake people in his alternate universe, and have been collecting data from the profiles (date account was created, date of first post, date of last post, who liked the posts, who commented on the posts, “their” relationship to Terence (i.e. mother, daughter, son, aunt, niece, cousin, etc) with the intention of creating a “relationship map” between the different personas (honestly, I can’t help myself, and while I should be doing my actual work, this is far too fascinating).

Now they are shut down, I’m a a bit stuck as I’m still missing some data (it was way to easy to end up deep in a rabbit hole with this exploration).

So far my inkling is that he created this online falsiverse because he genuinely thought that is how families interact with each other, and I think he desperately wanted a loving family. Of particular note, I have noticed that he has maintained realistic “relationships” between the personas (i.e. his fake aunt regularly likes or comments on his fake nieces page, which makes sense as they would be mother and daughter, and his fake mother generally seems to be across all her fake families posts, so comments or likes on her fake children or fake grandchildren’s pages, and his fake daughter mostly gets likes from her fake cousin, who also gets likes from the fake other young children in the network) (I know, right!!).

I don’t yet have a solid theory as to how CS plays into this, other than that his fake girlfriend recently “gave birth” to a child (and the liquidity is that a newborn clearly cannot be a 4 year old in less than a month, but perhaps the trauma of his early years causes him to dissociate from that period in a child’s life and could therefore reasonably explain why his new baby went from newborn to 4 years old in 1 month).

But the language used, and the pictures he has ripped from the internet are a bit weird and often quite sexualised, plus the 50+ profiles, each having a different persona…. so maybe I have it all wrong and it is a massive network for paedophiles… or maybe that is his understanding of how the world works, garnered from what he sees on the internet…. I think he is most likely a human who is torn on the inside and this just happens to be how it is expressed….

He may have experienced loss or neglect at around the age of 4, would know that dolls are targeted at girls aged around 3+ as it states on all the boxes, the stereotype of little girls enjoying having their hair brushed, dressing up and playing with dolls, these things combined could have drew him to that age group.
Also a child of 4 isn’t so aware of ‘stranger danger’ that they would fight and scream and could easily be placated with the promise of lots of toys to play with, ice cream etc for example. Their innocence and naivety at that age means many are unaware that there are people in the world who would want to harm them. That’s JMO anyway, maybe it was just opportunistic and CS was there at the time. I doubt he’d have gone for a child any younger though, they’d require too much looking after and would make a lot more noise and less easily pacified with toys. MOO

I don't either. However, I think deep down I don't want to think that anything sexual happened to CS. But the other thing is that a friend here messaged me by pm and called him DollGuy and asked me if I thought it would be him and I said "no". The link she sent me was so zoomed I could hardly determine anything. I have recently tried to access the 50? FB accounts but I have been unsuccessful. It appears to me that those who have seen his FB pages are convinced that there is more to it.
