Even Martin Bryant, who was arguably a 'raving lunatic' was considered fit to stand trial. So, the chances of him being found unfit seem very slim (to none). MOO.
Even Arthur Freeman, mad as a cut snake, throwing himself around in the court, looked like his marbles had long departed, and when asked if he had anything to say, he began a terrible howling about police corruption in WA that had absolutely nothing to do with him throwing his own child off a bridge in Melbourne, Victoria.. he got a fair trial, and he was adjudged fit to stand trial.. even though he was visibly mad,.. and like Mr Kelly, he got a high ranking barrister assigned to him, just as Mr Kelly will, and we will all pick up the tab for that, because that's what justice costs.

Thank you for the removal of your hat :)

I have moments where I ask my self “what the hell are you doing wasting all this time. This is a pointless exercise that is going nowhere”, and then I notice a new name I had not seen before and I’m off again down that hole! So now I’ve started, I have to finish and hope to create a visual representation I can share.

My hat off to you too ...you are mirroring my rabbit hole compulsion to do exactly what you are doing when i was compelled the other night and so far you are spot on , alas though i am not well enough these days to allow myself to be pulled in so thank you and i will be looking forward to your much appreciated time and representation ..do take care as i have found in the past for it to be draining and all consuming . But i understand your reasoning and it is important to understand
the complexities of the human condition moving forward .

I don't use FB so can't read anything there. However, if he's been following her prior to the abduction, it would show premeditation. Whichever way you look at it, it's not looking good for him.

The police think he was at blowholes to commit small time theft.

I will just put my previous post about it here, so I don't have to redo the link again (to remove CS' name).

BBM

This article contains a news video (part way down the page). At the 3:13 mark they show dashcam video of the alleged perp's arrest.

The police stopped the vehicle (at 11:24pm) on Robinson Street, got him out of the car, and put him on the ground .. "pinned him to the ground".

At the 3:50 mark the presenter says "Police believe he was at the blowholes campsite on October 16 to commit small-time theft."

IMO they may not be able to say why he left his home at that time of night, but they might know exactly why. And they decided that moment was the time to arrest him.

"Where was he going, why did he leave his house?"
"I can't say"
As bad as this situation is, and it's bad, I'm glad he didn't involve anyone else.....

“Officers from the Department of Justice’s special operations group will undertake the escort and transfer of the prisoner from Carnarvon to Perth,” they said. Four heavily armed prison squad officers landed in Carnarvon on Friday morning, local time, to transport Mr Kelly to Perth.

“The prisoner will be transferred to a maximum security facility.”

I find it very very telling that he has no close links with his family or has any friends or anyone in the community. Given how close and small the indigenous community is and how much they value family and kin it sounds like he’s not interested in having anything to do with anyone.

Not really sure why people are making the assumption he had a bad upbringing or was abandoned by his parents. Maybe he moved to Carnarvon for school/work prospects.

The fact that he lived with his grandma shows he wasn’t “abandoned”.

He holds down a job, drives, owns a car, buys and sells on the Internet. Clearly he’s not an idiot.

Kelly was pulled over in June 2021 and charged with driving unlicensed.

The court heard he had never held a licence and had no authority to be behind the wheel of a car.

How did he get to Blowholes then?

3 days ago a 21-year-old woman was struck by a truck while walking on the footpath and killed by an unlicensed driver. This was 5 minutes away from my home. It happens ALL the time.

The picture of him on the Perthnow page about to board the plane looks absolutely nothing like his picture from the ones floating around on SM the last few days. He certainly does not visually give the impression of someone who was intelligent enough to manage multiple Social media accounts - it is not easy to create multiple profiles on FB these days.
BBM, I don't think that makes a whole lot of sense, the biggest brains known to man were not visually attractive in what is deemed attractive in western society.
Not that I'm saying TK has a high IQ, but he's, imo, crafty, imaginative and obsessive. I always characterise stalkers and fantasists as highly imaginative, it goes with the territory of their making up relationships and imagined conversations, to and fro, need a creative mind. So imho, he's at least average intelligence.

Chances are, they are not even his. There's thousands of people who live in Carnarvon.

But if they are, they tend to sound like books somebody of my mother's generation would have, which is the same age his grandmother probably was. Especially the Moriarty books.
Or books he’s stolen from tents or campsites

I can see we're going to learn much about the Australian legal system in this case! How typical is it to deny bail? How does all of that work in Australia? And how will Terence be represented? It was said he lived in a housing project so I'm guessing legal representation is free for those with financial constraints? And how will the S family have to give any statements?

It is not unusual to deny bail. it really depends on the fiscal comfort of the defendant. Women, in general , get bail,. For Murder, one rarely rarely gets bail. For Kelly's crime, . bail would be refused, on the grounds that the defendant would be safer in prison than out in the community. The community must not be unreasonably provoked.

Kelly will be assigned a highflying solicitor, who instructs an equally high flying barrister, because huge trials go smoothly with clever legal jimmy's on either side of the bar.,

He appears to be unemployed, even though he claimed to be working
'12 hour shifts'.. 12 hour shifts in fantasy land, really. but he is entitled to legal representation.

A word on this . He , well . everyone instructs their lawyer. Except when you are on Legal Aid, a taxpayer funded arrangement. Then, you have to follow the advice given. You are not in the position to instruct your solicitor, in the matter of tactics, plea choice, and presentation. That is done by a panel of lawyers.

To get around this , narcissists will , in the middle of a trial fire the lawyer, and the whole panoply begins over again. I fully expect Kelly to try this on, considering his total refusal to adapt to ordinary rules of behaviour. It seems he is unable to comply to rational laws, rules, expectations, so it won't surprise me if his trial has a lot of rumbling disfunction from his corner and a lot of rulings from the bench.

Re the S'... I am not sure that they will be involved in the trial. They had no interaction with him, they didn't see him, or speak with him, he sent them no note,.. their removal from his circle of influence is unbroken.. They will probably only speak on their set up of the camp, and that will be that. I a almost positive that the little girl will be a part of the trial, in the sense of appearing in court. Video perhaps, .. . not appearing in person, no judge would allow that to happen.

Out on a limb here but I wonder how much social media/addiction and I suppose mental health play into this? It seems to border on obsessing, stalking, desire or even social disdain - wanting something so bad that he just took it "to have" even as a power trip.

If obsessed over the travelling families, maybe envy and wanting to take something away from "their perfect life" or thought doing this would somehow connect him to "them".

Thank you I knew that. However if he had been following ES on FB, and IF she had posted that they were going there on a camping trip, it's equally possible that he chose to abduct CS that night. He could have planned small time theft while he waited until the family were bound to be asleep.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if LE actually get more information from CS than they do from him. I know how very small children are interrogated and it's absolutely non-threatening to the child. She's a very bright little girl and I'm sure they'll learn quite a bit from her.
