It's not as easy as you think for the police to get info ( via warrants ) for facebook. In another case that I am following, this is what the police are currently dealing with. A young lady called Carly McBride went missing, assumed murdered, from Muswellbrook on 30 sep 2014 & the police are still trying to find who closed her facebook in the hours/days before her disappearance.

Here is a link to Carly's thread http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...arly-McBride-31-Muswellbrook-NSW-30-Sept-2014

These are two very different circumstances as Tiah was a child. Anyway, the links below should give us all the reading we should need in regard to Tiah's alleged murder:

FB and LE:

No it's not easy even though FB will tell you they co-operate with LE there is still the normal warrants and international law that has to be dealt with because FB is based and operates via US Law.

Speaking of her FB, I'm not so sure her account was closed. There is an account that is definitely hers that was there at the beginning and is still there.

Sorry, but I don't buy that police can't get access to fb accounts. They certainly can and do in Queensland anyway. There is an entire unit focusing on social media with assistance from the social networks.

They could quite easily examine any computer she had access to, it wouldn't be difficult.

Do you have any idea as to how many that was? How many library, school, or friends computers would there be?

School computers would have a different login for each child so they just have to wade through it. The library may also have log in records. The friends one's would be the only hassle and if the selfish little ratbags would own up and tell all they know, or just say she has used their computer, that narrows it down more. It is not an impossible task

And a lot of Education Queensland schools block social media sites.

That is why I thought she had ditched and walked to the public library. It has a pretty good young adults computer/media section seemingly.

That would be easy enough to check, I use that library for computer access and I have to use my library membership card to book it.

On Tiah's access to social media sans her own mobile phone. If it was suspected by QPS that Tiah had used friends' mobile phones to login to those sites, I think they (or the AFP) would be able to get a warrant to forensically examine them and access their metadata.

Tiahleigh Palmer death: Police divers resume Pimpama River search

November 30, 2015 - 12:11PM

Police divers have resumed searching the river where the body of Queensland schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer was found. Investigators returned to the river to search for clues on Monday.

The last confirmed sighting of Tia was when she was dropped at Marsden State High School about 8.10am on October 30.

Superintendent Dave Hutchinson said on November 18 several people had reported seeing her elsewhere after that time but investigators were yet to corroborate any of those sightings.

Bottom line is that if Tia was murdered, then that person is still out there!!! Justice for Tia please. RIP.

Classroom footage of Tiahleigh released

Published: 3:14 pm, Friday, 4 December 2015

Police say they are looking into the possibility that murdered Queensland schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer was groomed online before she died.

Tiahleigh definitely looked much older than the photos released early on suggested. I think I've mentioned this before, but I wonder why a couple of the older photos were published initially? In one she looks younger/smaller by at least a couple of years - the one where she is wearing lilac is a pretty shot, but not really helpful when it comes to jogging the memory of anyone who may have seen Tiahleigh on the day she disappeared. I guess it may have been a family favourite or hold special memories.
So glad they have found a shoe - someone seems to have gone to great pains to get rid of Tiahleigh's clothing and bag, so I hope other items are found soon too - and that they are loaded with evidence.

Poor darling! The classroom footage just makes it so much more real. I hope some resolution comes soon.
