so the weekly planner in the background suggests this pic was taken in February 2015, given that the 1st of the month is a Sunday. Tiahleigh was with the foster family for 10 months right? so this would have been taken several weeks in to her stay.

What is written in on the 13th? My eyes tell me it is "SYCO"? perhaps this was a scheduled Friday appointment? Or maybe just indicating Friday 13th? who knows

Don't know about the appointment, but the photo is breaking my heart. That beautiful confident trusting girl.

Someone made a comment in a previous post that Tiahleigh was streetwise and mature?? for her age. If this was true, I shudder to think what horrific lies or threats may have been made to stop her from talking about exactly what was going on

My guess is PCYC. But it could say SYCO (the family had tickets for the national sicko, psycho convention....)

I do recall this, Kitsune. I wonder if she was been teased, misunderstood, etc. Sounds as if school friends were aware of certain situations. Tiahleigh certainly had a lot on her plate for a 12 y.o.

It has been mentioned Tiah was recieving pastoral care with School Chaplain Ian Pratt, who also spoke at her memorial service. She was reaching out.

Exactly Halibut! This makes me hope that the police are looking into any behaviour issues or incidents recorded at school, or any guidance/pastoral care meetings that she requested, to see if there is any correlation to key dates of incidents occurring at home. Example, daycare incidents.

This in no way subdues my anxiety, in fact.,. it increases it.. what kind of people are inquiring about this ?... suddenly?... surely, before they had seen pics of Tia, they would have been interested....but now.... terribly interested.. .

Look at this from another perspective. People who are totally normal and able to offer a good, stable family environment are so outraged at what has happened to Tiahleigh that they enquire about fostering to prevent this ever happening to another child.

It's possible, because this is me. I hate the thought this could happen to another child. I have met people from websleuths and I think they would tell you I am quite normal.

I actually find it quite heartening to see so many applying. As long as they are the right type of person of course.,

A week before Tiahleigh Palmer was reported missing, she had left school with this woman's niece.

They caught a bus to her house and a scared Tia did not want to leave.

She told the woman at the time she was in trouble at school and also said she feared what would await her at home.

BBM: This just hurts my soul. It makes me feel so so sad. I just wish someone had listened to her. Every single person in her life failed her (I think Cindi is incredible the way she is dealing with things and kept her daughter in the media to get justice). Too much for a child so young to take on. Poor sweetheart, you can rest in peace now my love. No one is going to hurt or disappoint you again and we will make sure justice is served. You won't be forgotten.

Sorry everyone for my emotive post, just the reality of a poor 12 year old is just a harsh one.

'She asked me if she could stay with me and I said I'm sorry I couldn't let you stay with me because I really don't know you for a start,' the aunt of Tiahleigh's classmate told 7 News.

'She did tell me that if she does go home that she was going to get in big trouble and that's why she didn't want to go home,' the unidentified woman added.

The woman then contacted the Thorburns, and received a text from Julene advising she would come and collect her from the nearby home.

'Thank you and if she is worried about it tell her that just Julene is coming and she isn't in trouble,' the text message obtained by 7 News read.

BBM: UBM: Why would Julene need to let Tialeigh know that is was just her that was going to pick up Tialeigh? Would this indicate that Tialeigh was in fact worried about the males in that family?

For the sensitive souls out there, I will rephrase my comment.
If Tiahleigh had enough "sass and bite" to tell an older male that she would kill his dog if he didn't have sex with her, surely she wasn't easily intimidated so I shudder to think what threats the foster family dished out to keep her from speaking out about what was really happening.

I read it that way as well. I think more people are thinking about fostering, feeling that they could help after seeing a child put with such horrible people.
