Yeah, she is going to make a great lawyer isn't she? Making good friends with the local constabulary like that, after parking in a completely legal place.

That picture is a classic.

On another note - I noticed a few too many coincidental similarities when looking at the MSM regarding Ms Frost and wondered if she had anything to do with advising' re: the posting of the audio tapes and some of the online support responses.

Former Bond law student Julie Frost — who has been charged with using a carriage service to menace — has reportedly been closely involved with the Tostee family.
It is understood a complaint from one legal team has been lodged against Ms Frost and her involvement with governing body the Legal Services Commission.
The LSC yesterday acknowledged the complaint but refused to comment.
-----
Ms Frost yesterday said she had been supportive of the family and offered advice to help.

http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au...dbeach-caretaker/story-fnje8bkv-1226798500262
She claimed the caretaker then attacked her, prevented her from leaving the reception area and when she ran and dropped the leash, he assaulted her dog with a metal crutch.
Caretaker Craig Debreceny said Frost was the violent one and pushed papers off the reception desk, threw a vase at him and ordered the female tan and white dog to attack him.

Now the dispute is back *before the courts – with Frost pleading not guilty in the Southport Magistrates Court to the charge of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.
-----
Senior Constable Alistair Gold told the court he had *obtained an Optus subscriber check to confirm it was Frost’s phone number.
He said he was satisfied from the check that it was her phone number.
Frost, representing herself in court, denied the allegations against her and said there was no proof that she had sent the messages.
-----
http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au...for-her-troubles/story-fnje8bkv-1227154349533
When police and parking inspectors arrived at the scene she filmed them on her phone while claiming she parked on the footpath because there were no disabled spots outside the court.
-----
She is expected to be sentenced over the using a carriage of service to menace charge on Tuesday after her case was adjourned.
Frost denies the allegations about the messages and claims that council staff and police have harassed her.

Excuse me, I don't understand. :usa: What is "using a carriage service to menace "? Was she convicted? It looks like she was acquitted of the dog charge. Is she disabled?

The only thing that stood out to me about her is that she lives in Surfer's Paradise. She could be one of Tostee's neighbors, or even a witness.

Julie Ann Frost was due to be sentenced over the charge of using a service of carriage to menace in court this afternoon.

Carriage service I understand to be phone, email, etc.

The Gold Coast City Council accused the dog's owner Julie Ann Frost of keeping an unregistered dog and dropping the leash, allowing it to attack a Broadbeach resort manager. The caretaker required three stitches after the female dog latched onto his hand at the Biarritz Apartments on January 13 last year.
In a hearing in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday (DEC 9) Ms Frost denied the allegations claiming she and the dog were the true victims of violence.

JAF has said on social media that she has dated GT, it would be back in an earlier thread IMO.

If you read the whole description of the encounter/incident in the above article, JAF sounds more volatile than Rrie by far, so if GT had indeed dated her, he would be no stranger to unpredictable behaviour by females.

Well shoot. Why why WHYYYYY???? JF is apparently an animal rescuer, so now I can't completely dislike her. I work at an animal shelter myself, with a particular interest in the rehab of abused Staffordshire Terriers (Pitbulls).

HOWEVER she obviously isn't a trained rescuer and/or dog handler, taking a dog she had only had a few day into a frightening and volatile situation for the pup. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Dogs react when violent, crazy behavior is going on around them, not their fault!

She seems to thrive on controversy. And dramatically collapsing in front of the courthouse is just oh so "Wuthering Heights."

Oh agreed, dear Snoods.

I can't substantiate her claims to have rescued 'hundreds' of dogs.

Is it possible at that point in the evening after alot of booze and possible drug intake she had forgot she was up on the 14th floor and thought she was maybe on floor 1 or 2?

Well the thing is, what about the many screams of fear saying No no no...either she forgot she was up so high (unlikely given the conversations of the evening) or she was genuinely fearing for her life from Tostee's actions and running away. There are witnesses who suggest (by their eye-witness accounts) that she was actually dangling from the ledge, with her front facing out, and no feet support. As if she was being held over the edge. Put it all together and there is a strong case for murder.

Nine9 news reported an 18 year old was trapped in an air vent inside the Surfers Paradise Sincity nightclub this morning. It was reported the man was banned from the nightclub and was trying to gain access and was heard yelling for help from inside the ceiling.

If you re-read that witness account, you'll see she is not so clear on what she saw. She says more than once "I was trying to understand" or something to that effect. If she takes the stand, the defense will quickly impeach her testimony due to her interviews with the media.

This is just one example why cases tried via the media fail to get a conviction.

Snoods, we so think alike sometimes. When I was reading the reports of the altercation, I thought.. I bet she took her dog there for back-up. Who goes to make a complaint, and takes their dog along? Who would have their dog there, and not LEAVE immediately that things took a nasty turn? Someone who took the dog there as back-up is the most obvious answer.

The level of cray exhibited elsewhere only adds support to that idea. IMO.

As for her interference in the case.. I've been trying to imagine this.. "Oh hai, Gable's parents, I'm a 40+ year old not-quite-lawyer who occasionally has slept with your son. He's blocked me on FB and we haven't spoken for a while, but hey -- please accept this legal advice and take it so seriously that his legal team ends up making an official complaint, okay? But let's not involve Gable himself in this. Good to go?"

Yeah, I'm thinking not.

One thing she did seem pretty clear on was that Rrie's feet were facing OUT from the building. Which, if you re-read that account, you'll see is what caused the witness' confusion as to what Rrie was actually doing.

How does someone 'climb' a building, with their back to it? I'd love to hear someone explain that away with any semblance of logic.

Yep, she is very clear on what she saw. Just could not understand how that could possibly be, if someone was 'climbing'. And didn't she call her two mates out to have a look as well?

When was the witness interviewed by the media? Link please.

In an affidavit filed to the Queensland Supreme Court by Gable Tostee's lawyers during his bail application, Emily Ellis, who lived below Gable Tostee's 14th floor apartment, provides a graphic re-enactment of 26-year-old Ms Wright's fatal plunge.

In documents filed in the Supreme Court, residents living below Tostee’s Avalon Apartments home have described waking to the sounds of furniture crashing, heavy objects being dropped and a woman shouting “no, no, no”.

Ooops. Sorry. It was reported by the media.

Oh agreed, dear Snoods.

I can't substantiate her claims to have rescued 'hundreds' of dogs.

Yes, hundreds is quite a lot to have personally rescued. I've worked with shelters for years now and even including fosters I don't think I could claim to have personally rescued "hundreds." I wonder what she means by that? She couldn't possibly have fostered hundreds, so in what way has she rescued hundreds? That may have been hyperbole on her part.

YES! That was my first thought exactly, she took the dog there for "fear factor" and/or backup. Pretty crappy, IMO. Poor dog, he was probably scared to death. First he was in a very stressful shelter environment, then being placed in a strange new home which is also stressful, and then paraded out a few days later into a volatile situation. Poor fella didn't stand a chance..

:floorlaugh: at your interpretation of JF's introduction to GT's parents! Bahaha!

I take my hat off to you Snoods. Worthy cause. Sorry off topic…..humans are the ones that screw up animals !!

O/T Thank you, emirates! Yes, the amount of human cruelty exhibited towards animals infuriates and saddens me. Sometimes I come home hating people, but I realize that kind and good people far outweigh the A-holes.

BBM Not at all. If you read the witness excerpts from court documents obtained by the media, it's quite clear that what she couldn't grasp was how Rrie was possibly doing what she was doing because of the positioning of her body. She couldn't work out how her feet were dangling the way they were, because logically it wouldn't have been possible for her to have been climbing down.

This witness seems to be quite credible.

'Cause I couldn't work out the logic of why she was the way she was. All I could see, cause I'm quite short ... I could see the bottom of her feet."

'Her legs were there first ... it wasn't a lowering or a gentle, cautious ... she wasn't hanging on, she wasn't facing that way ... she wasn't facing that way to hold on."
