I think she might have jumped OFF
Tostee said in his opening statement to his father.

Reminds me of GBC initial statement to 000.
I don't know if she came to bed.
We did learn in fact that after a re-think he did indeed think she had come to bed after all.
"Do you see the pj's Mr BC"

I am looking forward to Tostee answering the what, when , why and how.

Imo his re-think has led to the introduction of UMO based on the sounds on the recording.

I am not convinced R'rie had hold of anything heavy, metallic or otherwise. imo

BBM

I'm also inkling towards that train of thought. If Rrie did pick up the UMO which allegedly then caused him to feel threatened which then in turn forced him to tackle her down on the floor and try to wrestle the UMO off her, Forensics can easily prove or disprove this eg. Rrie's fingerprints will have to be on the UMO among other things. Looking forward to him being asked to re-enact this.

Yes Slinki
It seems to me that if he did tackle R'rie then it was before 2:15am when he says "I do need a DNA sample".
Which would mean that R'rie has kept hold of this said heavy UMO during the tackle and then getting up when ordered by Tostee and whilst having her breathing restricted.
2:19:30 - Sound of something dropping (metallic).
4 1/2 minutes long time to hold a heavy object particularly with all that was going on. imo

BBM: I totally agree sosocurious. GT was 'scripting' that recording as he went along. That is the creepy and very devious thing in this case. Tostee was recording everything and he could say whatever came to mind and WW being so drunk, wouldn't have had a clue what he was really inferring. He knew exactly what he was doing and the probable outcome. It was the ultimate game of cat and mouse. IMO the whole "she beat me up." is absolute crap! He may have gotten a few bruises and scratches from rough sex but that's it. No metal object and no attack by WW.

Absolutely agree with the "scripting"!! Combine that with the fact police have stated....

...................there was no clear evidence that he was drunk.

In my opinion, he was well aware of what he was doing that night. I'm wondering if this was a common pattern of his and how many other women may have had a similar encounter with him. I don't believe the figure of "150 women" that he's stated. I'm thinking 50 would even be a stretch. Perhaps some of those women have since come forward....I hope so!!

He suggests to mix it with.........wait for it.....CORDIAL!?! :floorlaugh:

He's a keeper!

BBM - I don't either SouthAussie. He can deny Frost's involvement all he likes but I'm going to take what the Legal Services Commission said over anything Tostee says.

"It's been reported a woman advising Tostee's family, Julie Frost, is behind the split, with the two leading legal firms with the Legal Services Commission confirming to the Gold Coast Bulletin a complaint had been made by one of the firms about Ms Frost's involvement."

January 12, 2015: http://tvnz.co.nz/world-news/balcony-accused-killer-gable-tostee-fronts-court-third-lawyer-6217306

The public denial is almost comical isn't it? We're expected to believe the media feels free to make up any old crap about "two leading law firms with the Legal Services Commission", and they'd just let that slide. Okay, brah.

Or... maybe the Legal Services Commission, as well as his former lawyers, are just out to get him too, now. :waitasec:

Thanx Sosocurious.

Sources close to the investigation said the pair had been drinking and the woman was seen on the balcony prior to her death.

So it sounds like someone was watching them BEFORE Wrie was seen on the wrong side of the railing.

This sounds promising.
Voyeurs might come in handy sometimes.

Neighbours reported seeing Ms Wright and Ms Tostee on the balcony of his Surfers Paradise apartment before raised voices and a woman's screams were heard early on August 8th

It does sound promising for sure TGY.

At Tostee's first court appearance Justice Mullins said

The case for murder would largely depend on evidence of what occurred immediately before Ms Wright was allegedly locked on the balcony.

It must depend on what comes out in evidence as to what occurred in the apartment before Ms Wright ran out onto the balcony.

So the first court hearing it appears that the premise was R'rie ran onto the balcony.

But it has evolved with bail applications, audio releases, and forum posts that Tostee put, dragged, forced or whatever, to defend himself from that heavy UMO.

Tostee did not lock that door until R'rie had or was falling. imo

Thank you, Amee. Don't know to make of that witness statement. The other info re: JF is much more plausible than GT's statement.

Almost as peculiar as this (O/T .. a little).

It does not make sense to me that after the door was apparently shut.
That;

* fading - Let me go home, let ......
* fading - screams that were obviously moving away from the recording device.
* Police sirens - 14 floors below.
could be heard.

But it appears that it did not pick up a single sound of R'rie allegedly climbing over a glass and metal rail that was over a meter high.

Could that be done so quietly when in fear and in such a short time without making one sound or uttering one word that could be picked up on the recording devise or be heard by a neighbours below? imo

Well, he does say on the bb forum that he can't hear a thing in his apartment when the balcony doors are closed.

Which leads me to wonder how the recording picked up Rrie’s fading scream as she was falling, if he was inside the apartment with the doors closed.

There are errors in the transcript on that link. For example, things she said are applied to him.
It seems very strange to me that her last words before she falls are "let me go home". If she was saying "no, no, no", "help" or even "owww" it would make more sense. I hope all this will be explained eventually.

ETA The video on that link shows the balcony from different angles. A ledge continues past the balcony in front of the windows. It looks as though it could be straddled.

So many questions still need to be answered.

What a person hears and what an audio device picks up are 2 different things.

Yeah. Not THAT strange, considering he'd said he WAS letting her go. Right before he didn't.

Omfg, it took me a while to type this, was laughing... I was staring at that pic, utterly incredulous that the QLD police would DARE to use what (to me, on first glance) was a sex doll, in recreating Warriena's fall.

Then it HIT me.... all I can say is...

Yeah, she is going to make a great lawyer isn't she? Making good friends with the local constabulary like that, after parking in a completely legal place.

Earlier I was looking through some Maori songs and came across this one. I think Warriena would like it.

Thinking of Warriena....
