It's been mentioned many times that Warriena tried to hit Tostee with the metal clamp from the telescope. The metal clamp is to hold the telescope onto a tripod? What hasn't been mentioned is the actual tripod. The screwing or unscrewing sounds heard on the tape may well have been Tostee removing the collapsible tripod and that looks a lot like what he had in his hand as he exited the elevator and proceeded to dump it. Why would he dump the tripod?
Anyway, about the telescope bracket. It is the piece that connects the spotting telescope to the tripod legs.
Where were the legs? Why a telescope, a bracket, and no legs.
Could it be the folded up tripod legs in his hand? I think that could be likely. Looks about the right length and width for that. And if it was, why did he need to remove them from the apartment?

Simple answer; biological material belonging to Warriena was on it. Potentially incriminating evidence if the matter came to court.
Didn't he 'forget' something and have to go back to his apartment?
Could he have somehow received legal advice; maybe whilst riding in the lift or stopped for a time on another floor?
Everything he did after leaving his apartment, going out through the basement of the building and when speaking to his father, seemed somehow 'scripted'. I wonder if he also thought he might get away with an alibi of 'I wasn't there when she fell because I went to get pizza.' Someone was his enabler and either cleaned up his mess or had it cleaned up; as usual.
In my darkest moments I think the recording was almost a 'snuff' tape. I strongly suspect there was more evidence concealed somewhere in the apartment building; video in particular. The alleged tampering with evidence, ie; telescope and bracket, requires an internal police investigation. In fact, this whole case should be looked at by Qld's CCC IMO.
Revenge against the woman who allegedly stole from him was the motive for Warriena's humiliation and intimidation. I think this crime against Warriena was almost premeditated. He wanted to punish a woman and have them submit to him. Only trouble was Warriena, despite her diminutive physique, wasn't going down without a fight.
Possible trigger words for him were that I heard her say twice that she was 'going to call the police' and calling him a '***got' (click here for definition) which is a slur both online and IRL. I think I also heard him say 'Where's my money?'. I sometimes think he wasn't seeing Warriena in those final minutes but all of the 'women who had ****ed him over' and he'd lamented about over and over again on the bb misc forum.
This young man needs comprehensive psychological and neurological diagnostic assessments and lengthy and effective treatment for mental illness and for his alcoholism which is in reality simply self medication, lest we see him back on trial for causing another vulnerable human being's death. If I was his parent, that's where my money would be spent. I would be too frightened for his safety (and my own!) not to - lest I became the target of his aggression in the future.
