My apologies, I thought it was based in gossip and rumour and never acknowledged by police.
Is this the one?

Yep, the one on the right...can't be found anywhere online ATM

Crackbook drives me nuts like that...some things are seen that can't be unseen when they pop up randomly on your feed. A friend who is a bit of an activist put up an image of half a child blown up somewhere in the middle east. Lets just say that I gave him an earful. And like I said, an image like that can't be erased from the mind

No social media accounts for me. Too many crazies. Images like that are against FB's TOS.

Lucky you! I would love to step away from it, but you need a personal account if you have a business page like I do. But since this case, I have been combing every page/post comment there ever was...maybe I need to be on the LE payroll lol...it's doing my head in (is it wine o'clock yet?)

LE would be right onto them; believe me.

From context, I think what Det Partridge meant, was that he wasn't just lost in the bush.

I dont remember it either but in country areas it is pretty common to have a CB. And as Puggle says, also popular with campers etc. I cant see one in any of the pics of the van but it may be low down on the dash, not up on the roof.
However, the photo of the van in this article shows something on the windscreen attached by suction cups. Is that a dashcam??

I have a handheld UHF walkie talkie that plugs into my cigarette lighter - doesn't need antenna or the like to work... Hubby has the other type with a huge aerial attached to the outside of hi 4 wheel drive....just depends on what sort you use...No one would ever know I have one.

Could be a webcam .... or a GPS device.

Sorry, babe, I thought it was you. Looks like I'll have to search threads now *ugh* (was trying to avoid that).

Yes, I've been thinking about 4WDers, etc, due to the (scant) report of the white one allegedly seen speeding through Kendall on the day William went missing by LE; and the equally (scant) details of the white van ("All paedos drive white vans!"; dontcha know :\ ) allegedly seen entering the bush near Ghost Road and Long Point Drive.

Also other routes around Kendall to anywhere. Where would you drive if you wanted to stay out of sight? Not the Pacific Highway (north or south) but back roads IMO. In that case you'd really need to be 100% sure you didn't end up in a dead end or small 'hamlet' so I reckon it's gotta be someone who knows the area like the back of their hand. Likewise, someone local who wanted to conceal evidence. Illegal dumping sites? Now, who would know those?

I remember LE saying they were reviewing footage from a club in Kendall, trying to identify vehicles on the day William went missing but said they could only get profiles, etc, not number plates because of camera angle? Must be the only CCTV available IMO.

Also, there's supposed to be only one road into and out of Kendall but I think I followed Albert Road west on Google maps. Can't remember where it led. Will have to recheck.

I rechecked up till thread 7...then got interrupted ...if that helps/least cross those ones off.

Yeah I don't think the picture (on the right) has ever been acknowledged/discussed by police or ever mentioned in the media. It was simply people had saw it in the 60 minutes report and noticed it was an image we hadn't seen in msm (Well at least that's how it came to be discussed here).... and we all speculated about the photo.... so yeah no - no official answer as to where it came from or even it's importance......But one could assume it does have some importance to the police - as they have it posted on their wall in their strikeforce office (That's if that was their real office??)

Acamelia Sorry I don't really have an opinion on the photo to be honest... and I had never saw it anywhere prior to being spotted in the background in the 60 minutes show.... not saying it didn't exist elsewhere (Then got deleted) as you have mentioned, just personally I had never saw it before.

At 2.35pm detectives are dispatched from Port Macquarie and begin taking statements. One of them speaks to a colleague, Detective Senior Constable Vanessa Partridge, back at Port Macquarie late that afternoon; they are worried something more sinister may have taken place. Partridge arrives very early the next day, and already there are people out on *horseback, on bicycle, on foot, searching for *William. His dad is out there with them, and will be for days, thinking, “Surely if he is out here in the bush he’ll be found?”
Arriving at the house on Benaroon Drive, *Partridge is thinking, “Something just doesn’t feel right about this whole thing.”

Thanks, puggs, but I have to search back and find it. It was my error!

Sorry, meant POI's (and anyone else's they deem necessary to their investigation) social media accounts; not necessarily random comments from random people. Everyone's an amateur 'detective', other than LE; even me :)

Yeah true, sorry, I just thought it was an interesting article and a bit timely
