I would like to know how long after TJ was PB arrested. I feel suspicious of aspects of this case. MOO

GAPA's former president Paul Bickford, who stepped down last year, has been charged with the indecent assault of a child.
Another former GAPA member, Anthony Jones of Wauchope, has also been charged with indecent assault.
It is understood he was charged shortly after William vanished from his grandmother's yard in Kendall on September 12, 2014.
Mr Battishall said the men left GAPA as soon as members found out about the alleged assaults, which he said occurred before William disappeared.
He said every person who came to GAPA had to get a working with children check.
"You have to take their word for it," he said.
"And it is hard when this does come out.

So according to GAPA's chaplain PB and AJ left the group before William disappeared when the group found out about the alleged assault.
When was it actually reported to police .... before or after William disappeared.

This article makes me despair. Even the journalists covering this case can't seem to keep up. My understanding that the POI that the woman referred to as having nothing to do with GAPA was BS. Someone has posted earlier minutes from a GAPA meeting in which laughably a motion was put forward that members had to undergo child safety checks. The motion was put forward and 2ns by PB and TJ.

I read it as TJ (not BS) wasn't part of GAPA, which is new to me:
"It has previously been reported that Jones, who was imprisoned in September for the indecent assault of a child, was a member of GAPA. However this was dismissed by the group's secretary Beverley Sharpe in a letter published in the Wauchope Gazette on September 24, 2015, where she wrote, "the person of interest was not in our group"."

His white station wagon was seized but no clues found. When WT vanished he says he was out bush collecting scrap metal. Came home drunk early arvo.

I think you're right Frogs. I did some searching and it seems pretty clear in many articles that TJ was part of GAPA and BS only "knew people in GAPA". So it seems fair that Beverly was talking about BS. Clear as mud eh.

so one has to ask 'who' / 'why' / and is there a reason they haven't come forward?

I say this in full appreciation of the fact that there may well be any number of reasons why people do not want it to be know that they were in that area -

However, and I appeal here to anyone who was or may know someone who was in that area.

Please .. please.. don't be scared of any untoward implications if you are not involved with William's disappearance.

You may have valuable input. At this point you may not even be aware of the value and how perhaps it can help to join dots.

Please come forward to the authorities involved and have a chat. They most likely care of your minor dismeoner, and will keep your infidelity or otherwise a secret for sure!! They just want justice for William, as we all do.

This is so important, not only for William & his family, but important for the very fibre of who we are as genuine human beings in our Australian society.

Our country has been built on the struggle for a better life, on hard work, on mate ship, on looking out for the underdog, on sticking up for the deprived, on lending a hand where needed - and with absolutely no tolerance of abuse in any shape or form, and especially not of our Children.

As we approach the celebration of our nation 'Australia', I just pray for a return to those values. .. and a genuine intolerance of behaviour that does not fit within our values.

Anyone with the slightest concern in Williams disappearance would have some idea where it is.
A POI that resides in close proximity would probably make it their business to know ... wouldn't they?

If you would be satisfied with an approximate similarity, then maybe you would recognize DH/M/B* in that person, charged in case Karlie and Khandalyce murder (Belanglo Angel + Wynarka Angel). I for myself am seeing many !! similarities. Unfortunately I don't know, if DH/M/B has a limb left leg - that would be the only discrepancy IF not. All attributes except the look also seem to fit 100%. I'm fascinated about the cognition and I wonder if he could be someone, who had to do with the abduction. I can imagine, he is known to our 4 POIs and they are known to him because of the inclination and the NSW area, maybe even incl. the VIC area.

I had listed all characteristics the psychic (who works with police) saw, but I didn't save it. Annoying.

We don't know the owner of the 2. car parked at Benaroon Drive in Kendall. Was it DH/M/B's car? We also -oddly enough- never heard of some car which he may have driven. Why not? Intention??

When DH/M/B was charged with the murder of Karlie and Khandalyce (Belanglo/Wynarka) it became very silent here on the thread for William (incl. news), my impression. There could be perhaps a certain reason for that.

yes i agree the dumping of little khandalyce in the suitcase in such a seemingly random nowhere spot and the neatly dressed older man, its like the perp has driven with the suitcase somewhere obscure in a panic miles far from home totally distancing themselves from where they live, and people were wondering then if the body could be williams, so its not far fetched there could be a connection with these pois and khandalyce could have been passed on to someone from the nsw area. didnt tj drive trucks?

He also refused to be drawn on any possible link between GAPA and the alleged paedophile ring.

A source within the strike force, however, said "what gets uncovered in this kind of investigation is the type of thing you saw yesterday with Bickford".

"When a child goes missing, things flush out from deep down," the source said.

I absolutely agree with this comment and there are people who have been mentioned in MSM as this investigation has unfolded that I would hope the police are taking a harder look at behind the scenes.

Given both AJ and PB pleaded guilty then it seems the incidents did indeed occur.

Both AJ and PB pleaded guilty to touching their young victims on their genital areas. More serious charges, including child rape, were dropped against Jones.

How long does it take to investigate this type of crime ... days, weeks, months even years in some cases I guess.

How deep do investigators dig?
Very deep if a 3 year old child is missing in the area.

Police would certainly have been aware of both of these blokes and the alleged charges before FACS and detectives began investigating BS about his treatment of children in early December 2014. IMO.

The mother who wants her child back said she was informed by FACs in December it was investigating Mr Spedding but would not tell her why.
The same month Port Macquarie detectives tried to contact her, she said, adding that she was horrified when she saw news reports of police searching the Speddings’ home.

I am just a little dismayed at the gall of PB questioning police strategy given he has been named as a POI.

I am interested to know what his alibi was between 10am and 11am on the day William disappeared.

det jubelin was the detective who arrested bs brother in law hillsley so he probably interviewed bs and others at that time and have a file with him in it and would know of bs historic rape charge

Homicide Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin arrested Mr Spedding on April 22, 2015, more than 10 years after he took Hillsley into custody. Mr Spedding is charged with five counts of sexually abusing two girls, aged three and six, in the 1980s.
