Yes, and that he only wanted to hear from people who were there at the time.

I didn't catch that one? (I transcribed the whole thing... I think I will post it in the media thread?.. and then anyone who has any corrections could please let me know?)

I got these:

"What we are interested in is people who have genuine information."

"That information might be in the form of someone that has concerns about someone they know, someone within their family, that uh, the way they react when William Tyrrell's name is mentioned, uh, might uh, cause suspicion. We're interested in speaking to those people. If we speak to those people, we can do it with the strictest of confidence and I would encourage those people to come forward. But please don't waste your time, we're not interested in uh information from clairvoyants or people that have dreams, we're focused on this investigation, following up information that's relevant to William's disappearance."

"anyone that's got any suspicion about someone close to them, come forward. That's the type of information we're interested in
now"

Isn't there a large problem in posting only links from MSM articles, in that they can tend to disappear over time?

Yes, think 1984 and 'memory holes'. That's why I post the headlines (as well as the link) as you can usually plug that into Google and find them in other MSM publications or archived.

It was in MSM or his presser. Just a variation on a theme. I'll find the link.

Just don't get me started on Daniel Morcombe's murder case and all the mistakes made re sloppy police work.

Daniel disappeared in 2003 and his case is not over yet (14 years later) as the Assistant Commissioner is being investigated over the case re vital information not being heard at the inquest. He was the leading investigator from the beginning when Daniel first disappeared.

The Morcombes and their lawyer pushed for the Coronial Inquest. It is my firm belief that Daniel would never have been found as "they" said they would never give up in finding Daniel (and they didn't).

I am getting tired of reading about what great work the police did in the Brett Cowan sting. It only happened because of the Morcombes and their lawyer's persistance in pushing tooth and nail for that Coronial Inquest and they should be recognised for the important part they played in finding Daniel.

After 3 years, I'm a little disappointed in DCI Gary Jubelin's latest presser in that he is still asking for the public's help to come forward with any information they may have which could be vital in William's disappearance and the Reward of $1 million that no-one has claimed yet.

I'm afraid I didn't learn anything new from that presser and also we knew from social media that William was a foster child from the time he disappeared. There just doesn't seem to be anything that we didn't already know because of what appeared in social media at the time William disappeared...MOO

They did great police work when doing the sting imo. I'm a little dissappointed in the recent presser too & the whole thing makes me suspicious that they are at a loose end. Just my thoughts. Stranger abductiond is known to be notoriously difficult tho, isn't it. they must be under intense pressure.

I remember seeing a photo of an abandoned house in the bush somewhere behind the odd-numbered houses on Benaroon Dr (possibly off Batar Creek Rd on the way to Kendall?) and I thought that was where the searchers were talking about. I think someone onthread did a map? It may have been the creepy house they were referring to. I'll have to go back and look at our discussion again, dang it!

It wasn't that is IMO Iykwim

If KT has her act together as is the case from what i posted, why shouldn't she get a second chance? Are you saying she doesn't deserve that? Her little girl has two other siblings. Don't you think she should get the opportunity to get to know them and be with her real biological mother seeing as her mother wants her back?

Apparently so.

'The proceedings were to be heard from 6 December 2016 over four days; whether that hearing proceeded and if so its outcome is not known to me.'

William’s foster parents, who continue to care for his older sister, who has not been publicly named, yesterday released an official statement marking the third anniversary of their loss.
“Where are you William?” they posted on an official Where’s William website. “Where are you our precious little boy?

Does everyone recall the brief reference made by mom in regard to overseas? If there ever was in fact a plan to leave the country, I think that plan did not bear fruit. Perhaps mom is getting somewhat further than suspected in her various quests? just wondering.

There was a lot of local chatter about this house, according to a local. The locals knew a pretty quick way to this house through the forest, on the forest trails. I can't quite recall why they were suspicious of the house though.

Can't find the link now ... so please take this as my opinion.

IMO JMO MOO

Local residents armed with torches spent the night searching for the boy.

"We've searched the drains on the road, but there was nothing there," said one woman who was with a group of friends.

The group then searched a nearby abandoned home after one of them heard noises.

"[A] neighbour used to live in this house but she's now in a nursing home so it's been abandoned for a while," she said.

"You know, anything's possible."

I think the house the neighbours searched, when they heard the noises, was 35 Benaroon Drive ... though of course I cannot be positive about that.

But no-one currently lived there (hence, them wondering about the noises .. and what were the noises? ... a child's voice? someone shouting? what?), it was up for sale, and was right across the road from grandma's house. Behind the cars that were apparently parked there on the street that morning.

Spent the night searching . . . then searched a nearby abandoned house. Does that mean the house was searched the following day at the earliest? Otherwise the one person hearing something could have been creating a distraction. What were the group doing or about to do when the noise was heard?

I don't recall any info. about a noise heard? Abandoned house? Was that the one across the road from FGM's house where the two vehicles were reported to be parked?

This is from Sept 16, IMO the Savages are referring to the person that lived in 35. I don't think it was abandoned at the time.

“A lot of them have moved,” he says. “One bloke left because he felt intimidated by the police. He had a few problems. He wasn’t a crook or a bad bloke, just a bit of a loner. He wanted out.”

“A recluse,” says Sean. “I think all of the attention sort of frightened him.”

“They were coming around checking everything and he got scared,” Paul says. “Just the fear of that.” He shrugs his shoulders. “You got to let them do their job and they’re still following up on everything. They’re doing a good job.”
