Gallyot told the court Jubelin also told him not to save the recordings of his visits to Savage anywhere when he handed them to him to make a “synopsis”. Cunneen tells the court this is the first time he has made this claim and it is not in his statement. He maintains its true

So who really did the recording? How could you forget to include this in your statement eh?
“...allegedly insisted he illegally record a phone call with a suspect”

Me finks there’s some porky pies being served up or someone is being thrown under a very big bus.

I was in shock': Cop on William Tyrrell case tells court he was asked to illegally record phone calls

A detective on the William Tyrrell case has told a court he was "in shock" when a former colleague allegedly insisted he illegally record a phone call with a suspect.

Det Gallyot told the court Mr Jubelin instructed him not to save the recording anywhere, but it ended up on a shared drive accessible to all officers on the Tyrrell strikeforce and is now the subject of one of Mr Jubelin's four charges.

I wonder when the 3 November 2017 recording was actually put on the shared drive available to all strikeforce members?

Quite often when police are making out statements they lead you to what they want in the statement. Everything is not always included in a statement. The recording was done on Jubelin's personal iPhone and I doubt Gallyot would have access to that phone unless Jubelin gave him access. It appears there is another witness present when this occurred so I believe they will be called to testify.

In reference to your bolded section above. Gallyot was obviously taking an action to protect himself. Jubelin had told him the transcript of recordings were for the Coroner! This snippet of info is included in the media link I put in another message above.

I consider the Coroner picked this up when preparations were under way for the current Coronial Inquiry.

More importantly the electronic copy could never be deleted. Very clever Gallyot.

And you need to read ,agree & sign what is in the statement.........

BBM: Yep Jubelin did give him access.

Det Gallyot told the court Mr Jubelin later approached him, handed him his iPhone and told him there were several recorded interactions with Mr Savage on the device.

'Just do it': Court hears details of argument between detectives on William Tyrrell case

does this mean there are now allegations that Jubelin requested inaccurate transcriptions of recordings? For Jubelin to push a much more junior officer to do what is alleged,

It seems Jubelin self believed a lot things that are now proven incorrect. The information that came of the Coroners Inquest where Jubelin insisted Mr Savage could view William playing on the driveway of 48 Benaroon, from his own front porch, was total fabrication as well. Jubelin appears imo to use his own lies to his own advantage. This would leave a successful prosecution in limbo imo.

is very telling.

BBM
There’s straight vision from PS’s verandah to 48’s driveway. That is NOT a fabrication.

Why are you calling Jubelin a liar?
Gimmi facts & not hot air.

BBM : There sure is Tgy.

From memory ,I don't think the coroner agreed or disagreed with what GJ asserted ?

Det Laura Beacroft did disagree thou..............

Hi Guys,

As we all know, this Trial, and the result, has the potential for quite polarising opinions…. we all need to be respectful of one another's opinions.... as we totally don't want the thread closed down for the Inquest which is only next month …..

Just popping the message from Tricia in here as a reminder....
I am very sorry it took me so long to open this thread back up. Please keep in mind we are short handed so if this thread starts to get out of control with alerts we will have to close it again.
Please do not hesitate to alert but make sure the alert is truly needed. We have experienced a lot of tit for tat alerts and that makes me foam at the mouth, grow hair on my hands and my teeth turn into fangs. In other words please be sure when you post you are posting within our terms of service.

Thank you,
Tricia

Edit to add: PS I'm not trying to be a "goody- twoshoes" I would just hate for the thread to be closed with the inquest so close... as the thread is a great place to catch up on so much info in one place ...
