Woah, a girl goes away for a couple of days and comes back to find 30+ new pages AND a new thread!

While I go back and catch up, I want to thank Esme for her reply to me and I have replied privately to her; her 'follow' of me had my hopes up momentarily that she may have been an 'insider' and I was somehow on the 'right track' with my thoughts. And yes, I was referring to Esme Watson from A Country Practice (gee I miss those shows and wish they would bring that style of drama back).

Gary Jubelin’s criminal hearing has resumed for a seventh day. His barrister Margaret Cunneen is continuing her questioning of Detective Inspector Darrin Bachelor from the Professional Standards Command.

Bachelor is asked if Jubelin “cooperated fully” with the investigation into his alleged misconduct. Bachelor told the court he had cooperated and answered every question he was asked, as well as participated in recorded interviews voluntarily.

I watched an interesting show on Stan last night called the 'Wrong Man'. And interestingly enough the actual perpetrator is usually always contained in the file and was either interviewed/spoken to in the early stages of the case. In the case I was watching (and after doing some research on more current details of the case) the perpetrator was found over 20 years later and turned out to be the victim's opposite neighbour who had been questioned at the start of the case!

In William's case I believe the perpetrator too, is contained in the "file" and most likely has been spoken to before. But as it was said in the show last night they will be found and full justice will be sought.

No idea. Did you mean written or verbal? While there is a lull in proceedings I looked for an answer to your question.

Here is a couple of articles from the 21st June 2019.

The veteran investigator was issued with a court attendance notice on Friday and will appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on July 30, with crown prosecutor turned Sydney silk Ms Cunneen SC acting as his legal representative.

"The officer's immediate employment status is under review however he has previously submitted his resignation to the Commissioner of Police," the police statement read.

The Crown is arguing to admit evidence they didn’t serve to the defence in time for the hearing. The Magistrate is trying to determine whether the new statements should be allowed.

In the UK parents of missing Madeleine McCann Also appealed to UK government,to highlight their missing child's case and keep it in the public eye.

The case of Madeleine McCann was an international cross-boarder matter, hence her parents involving politicians with connections in Europe. Quite different to the case of William. It is very rare from my point of view for any case in Australia involving something untoward occurring with a minor or adult, for politicians to be brought into the matter like has occurred with both cases mentioned by me upthread.

I personally do not believe either of the Fehons involved in the initial crisis were trained in specifics required in investigations regarding missing children. There does not appear to me to be specialist investigators on board until Beacroft and others involved in sex crimes and child exploitation nsw police units, included in the task force investigation.

I found it interesting that information revealed out of the current court matter and included in thread #50, that some taskforce officers appeared to want focus on the foster carers for some reason. I haven't seem a timeline for that (proposed) focus. I know it was said that a surveillance device was planted in their vehicle after an interview. Anyone have any idea when that interview occurred? Just trying to set a timeline in greymatter.

The Magistrate has criticised NSW Police for not serving the DPP with the documents earlier. Telling the court he was “extremely bemused” by it and says “how are the police running this investigation? One has to query”.

I have been told that quite often a person's legal rep will be told if a charge is pending. I wouldn't be too surprised if the leak came out of Jubelin's defense team (or even him) to get the public behind him. And the public's response, from greymatter memory was immediate.

I think Jubelin is savy. He would have been in consultation with a defense team prior to the charges being laid for sure - in my view.

The Magistrate has allowed the statements from two other officers on the Strike Force “with some reluctance”. One of those officers is Detective Senior Constable Paul Apthorpe, who is now in the witness box.

But police command has now put their "most senior homicide" investigator in charge - Detective Chief Inspector David Laidlaw.

"We have to ensure the inquest gets started," Acting Assistant Commissioner Stuart Smith told reporters in Sydney on Friday.

"We can't have an allegation of misconduct and not deal with it. We need to let that work its course and we also need to not derail the matter."

Det Insp Jubelin has been interviewed by the Professional Standards Command over his conduct on Strikeforce Rosann.

He's facing allegations relating to staff management and using a mobile phone without a warrant to record someone, AAP understands..............................

Mr Smith said Det Insp Jubelin's welfare was important but so to was the work of the strike force.

"There were 30 people who worked on this job and I also need to worry about the welfare of those people," the assistant commissioner said.

"They have put thousands of hours into this investigation and really now it's a matter for the coroner."
