It is my understanding that Abbott has never been cleared though, or have I missed something that came out of the last tranche of the Coronial Inquest?

I got the impression that they kind of moved on from him, but never saw anything specifically clearing him.

I have always had him as my number one suspect so I remember a time when they seemed to be backing off from him.

IMO Abbott is all bluster and thrives on attention. He likes to make out he has a real history to make people fearful to keep up his barriers.

I agree, that’s why I wonder if it’s someone else they’re focused on. Hard to imagine FA not involved after all we’ve heard .

IIRC, when the Inquest came back from the long break, they inexplicably moved on from focusing on FA---whereas we had expected more about him as they were very focused on him when it abruptly ended.

I think that made some of us feel that they were moving off from him as the main suspect.

For sure the investigation will be going over any land/ground that has changed and landscapes that have changed. I wouldn't be surprised to find out they have used and are currently using technology that is used in archeological digs overseas using hightech satellite technology

"Never been searched before". Interesting isn't it! IMO that implies any property that has not been involved in investigative intensive land/garden probing (including dig up) searches.

"It's highly likely that if we found something it would be a body. We are looking for the remains of William Tyrrell, no doubt about that," he said.

"This activity is in response to evidence we have obtained in the course of the investigation, not speculative in any way, we are acting on behalf of the coroner."

Police said the search would involve three specific locations, all in the Kendall area.

Detective Chief Superintendent Bennett said the searches were based on new evidence and experts from outside the police force would be assisting officers.

"There will be a number of strategies used by the police and other agencies to clear ground and go subterranean in the number of locations," he said.

Anyone got any idea where the 3 areas in Kendall will be?

My guess is:
1. Fire trail at end of Benaroon Drive to where the trail meets up with Batar Creek Road and than back to Benaroon Drive.
2. Kendall Cemetery
3. All properties in Benaroon Drive including all neighbour properties and properties from other streets that back onto Benaroon Drive.

Edited to add: Cedar Creek Road? Was it ever revealed why police previously conducted an intensive search of that area?
