IMO this is an error by the journalist - there have been so many mistakes in the media around William's case.

The information given during the inquest was that William was alone when he disappeared, not with his sister. William's sister was on the deck with FM and FGM when William ran around the side of the house and was not seen again.

I thought that too as I don’t recall, maybe Dr Sleuth could help out here ?

William's sister was on the deck making a card for the FM's father to place on his grave & had been playing a dice game ( for a very short time ) , when William ran around the side of the house ( he got bored of making the cards & playing with the dice ) roaring like a tiger....and was never seen again. It was not mentioned at the inquest by Snr Constable Wendy Hudson who spoke / interviewed William's sister that William's sister had said William was running towards " daddy's car "

It's also not true that PS had the same colour car as the FF. The FF had a dark grey Landrover & PS had a white Mitsubishi Pajero. His wife HS had a maroon Falcon. Neither PS or the FF car's were stationwagons.

Strike Force Rosann revisit Kendall for 7th anniversary of William Tyrrell's disappearance

Detectives are continuing to conduct interviews, searches and other investigative activity, including those under Coronial Orders, as well as reviewing all available materials with the assistance of various experts.

Strike Force Rosann Officer-in-Charge, Detective Chief Inspector David Laidlaw, said detectives returned to Kendall as part of their review into the circumstances surrounding William’s disappearance.

“The Strike Force Rosann team returned to Kendall with local detectives and specialist forensic officers to have another look at the residence where William was last seen, as well as other areas nearby,” Det Ch Insp Laidlaw said.

“Further information has since come to light, as part of our ongoing review of the materials gathered by investigators since the moment William went missing seven years ago.

I have learned a great deal reading these most recent threads about William's abduction here on WS and want to thank all of you with your research, obviously dedicated followers of this case. I am in the U.S. and not Australia so the legal process very different. As is the foster care system the child was in. I know the anniversary date of his disappearance is tomorrow so I've been thinking of William, and I came here. Websleuths is always the best source of recent information and exchange. When I think of 7 years ago at this moment, there was a happy family, visiting grandma, eating breakfast, starting their day in the little hamlet of Kendall.

Sounds like it could be info that was in the files ... perhaps in part of the files that the police hadn't got to yet, two years ago.

I wonder if they have now been able to finish reviewing all of those hours of unreviewed recorded info from Paul Savage's place.

He didn't have a church, he was defrocked years before. From memory I think he was a music teacher.

We had a lawyer here a while back talking about the tainting of an investigation. As the recordings were found to be illegal, it's important for the success of any future prosecution that police have not listened to any more of that material. I don't quite remember how it works, but something like, if listening to the recording leads to something being checked out or a line of thinking being started, and even if that in itself is fruitless but it leads some other train of thinking or investigation, and on and on, eventually the good evidence that comes out has to be excluded from the case because it has or might have that distant causal connection with the recording that legally should never have happened. So not listening to the recording, and effectively chucking out anything the 'old' investigation found after the recording, is the best thing police can do to limit that damage.

He was skirting around areas where children were murdered. Not listed that ge was in locations at the time but he was definitely there before or after.

Now I gave to ask...is he the individual who was cleared? Did he belong to the gardening club? Did fgm get involved in music groups? Did he associate with anyone at the community centre where fgm had Did he have connections to others named as persons of interest?

Where did he live in Kendall or was it Dunbogan?

Did he attend church services in the area, he was a former anglican priest? Did fgm attend church services?

May I ask why you keep looking for an involvement with the FGM?

I think to get the answers to your questions you would have to go back in the threads, he was talked about when these articles were released, or ask a local or google him a bit more.

I thought the recordings in the house were legal ... they had a warrant for those. It was only a couple of the phone calls that fell outside the warrant expiration.
I am speaking of the many hours of the house recordings that had not yet been heard.

One would think that the police could produce the legal recordings and the legal warrant, to show (let others hear) that is where a clue came from - if a clue has come from there.

That wouldn't be fruit of the tainted tree, I don't think.
